I am offering for sale this lovely, low miles 1964 BMW R69S w Meier Large Sport Tank. This is all numbers matching machine including the frame, frame badge and the motor. Miles appear to be original to the bike. Recent service included change of all top end seals and gaskets, new drive shaft rubber boot, everything torqued to specs, valves adjusted, timing set. Bike runs and rides excellent and needs nothing. I rode this bike and shifted all 4 gears. It was a pleasure. Bike has installed fender mount passenger solo seat as shown in the pictures. It usually starts in three kicks or less if you follow the procedure correctly. Electrical components all work as intended including the horn. Front and rear brakes are fully functional as well. Paint very nice, couple of small dings here and there touched up, not noticeable. The electrical components all work as intended, brakes both works very well, I will swap the kicker for the swing out kicker to clear the pipes when kick starting. Those OEM 2-1 exhaust pipes are bulky. Some spot rust on front wheel rim. Tach moves but does not show RPM readings correctly. History ;The Daimler company was purchased by Jaguar in 1960 , and it did not take the engineers at Jaguar long to realize the potential of the Daimler 2.5 liter engine , designed by Edward Turner . With very little work , the engine was adapted to fit the mark ll saloon . Little other mechanical work was required , other than revising front suspension spring rates due to the lightness of the aluminum V8 .The Borg Warner type 35 automatic gearbox was fitted as standard . Externally , the Daimler was distinguished from the Jaguar by the fitment of a fluted grille and boot plinth , a swept "D" on the bonnet and hubcaps , and a Daimler script on the boot lid . Inside , the jaguar dashboard was retained , but a split bench front seat was fitted , with a revised centre console . Veneer quality was improved , and a bold "D" was featured on the steering wheel . Without incurring vast development costs , the new model gave the Daimler marque a new lease of life , satisfying the Daimler dealers and customers .The Daimler launched in 1962 and was aimed at a more traditional and professional clientele , which was reflected in the price . The new Daimler saloon outperformed the 2.4 liter Jaguar , by having a 0-60mph time of 13.8 seconds , and a top speed of 110mph . The model offered remarkable standards of smoothness and quietness . Total production was 13,018 vehicles between 1962 and 1967 . DescriptionThis is a 1965 Daimler 2.5L V8 sedan Ex California car , good solid body . This Daimler has a dark green exterior that goes ideal with its light green leather interior , the original interior looks great for its age . This model is an automatic right side driver , with AM/FM stereo , drum breaks , steel hubcaps , fog lights , and full instrumentation , comfortable seats , sits six people , large trunk , great classic style car with wood dash and wood trim interior through out . This vehicle has been sitting for a while , so it will need to be serviced before its street worthy . it is missing the valve covers but has the air cleaner and every thing else . This Daimler has no title but I did find a copy of the title in the glove box that may help the new buyer getting a new title . plus I will provide a notarized bill of sale . Bike has been serviced well, runs and rides excellent, everything works, no surprises, no disappointment. This is a collector dream, no questions asked. If you are looking for one you know best. Very honest motorcycle, one will be hard pressed to find a better looking and running 1976 FXE-1200 Superglide now days. This bike looks to me very good considering its age and rides as good as it looks! Paint on the tank and fenders shows some patina, bike has original paint on the chassis as well with the original, factory sticker. The patina on the frame and drive train that accumulated with years shows well the bike heritage. This Shovelhead is not a trailer queen as pictures show but nice, presentable, older Harley that will keep appreciate in value with time. Both front and rear tires are Dunlop and like new, brakes work well, it rides, shifts and stops as it should. I have ridden the bike and shifted all 4 gears, it is a pleasure!! I have not seen any oil leaks on the motor or tranny. This bike has the original wet primary that may seep few drops of oil over time but that is being consider normal with those old Shovs. Sweet Harley FXE-1200 Superglide Shovelhead is all numbers matching and ready for you to ride in style! This bike looks to me very good considering its age and rides as good as it looks! Paint on the tank and fenders is new and almost perfect, stilll bike has original paint on the chassis with the original, factory sticker. There is great patina on the frame and drive train that accumulated with years. This Shovelhead is not a trailer queen as pictures show but nice, presentable older Harley that will keep appreciate in value with time. Both front and rear tires are like new, brakes work well, it rides, shifts and stops as it should. I have ridden the bike and shifted all 4 gears, it is a pleasure!! I have not seen any oil leaks on the motor or tranny. About Me | See my other items | Email A Friend Description of [1981 Harley Davidson FLH-80 SHOVELHEAD for sale] For sale a 1981 Shovelhead Harley Davidson FLH 80 , with original matching frame and motor vin#. This bike is a nicest FLH I have seen around for the money. The motor is a 1340ccm, 80 Cubic Inches Shovelhead.The looks are stunning as you can see from the pictures!!! The speedo has been changed and actual mileage is not known. The ignition switch has also been changed in the past and there is no key for it. The rear turn signal bar is missing but I have seen the cabling is there so it would be easy to install the bar back on and connect. The hi/low light switch is also missing but I have new switch and will be included with the bike. I have ridden the bike and shifted all 4 gears. It rides nice, both brakes work well, no complains. This FLH has a lot of character and needs similar person to ride it. Electric starter, ready for the summer!!! Take me to Sturgis!!!!.
