Very much like new, kept in a time capsule. My father (70yrs.) bought this new in GA and barely drove it. Stock they are not jetted correctly and he had some problems with the carburetor or at least thought it was a carb problem, bought a new carb and installed it but never rejetted it. He moved to California and transferred the title. I uncorked it and rejetted it so it runs like a little bumblebee! It's a 49-State version plated in caly. Runs like a champ and currently has 623 miles on it as I write. I ride it to the post office one mile away occasionally and maybe 10 or so miles to keep the battery charged. This is a great desert bike with fat tires for sand and street legal for getting around. It has a luggage rack and passenger pegs although very light duty, it can be a great pit bike. works good on campuses or town. It will do 65 miles an hour (even faster but I stopped at 65 on my tests) but I'd not really use it for much freeway driving. Heck I won't even take my XR650R on the street much. some minor scratches on plastics, tank is mint, comes with extra very good carb and extra jets... keys and manuals, passenger pegs not shown on picture they are mint and will be provided. you can tune/jet the extra carburetor for where your conditions/altitude and then just swap it out with the one that's on there. then make same changes or close to it on other carb and be ready if you want to tune for different riding conditions. It's currently jetted & 'uncorked' to run like a bumblebee at 4000 ft and in the desert heat. I'm a XR650R enthusiast who keeps those bikes running and racing in the desert for over 10 years. I've been through this thing to get it running great, fully uncorked. also put a new battery in; however, it will bum-start running on the flat in flip-flop in 20 feet! My dad doesn't ride anymore and although I'd love to keep it just to go shopping or the post office. ......can't afford to keep it insured ontop of all my other stuff. regrettably, it should go to a new home! Peace, Pi
