I am attempting to part with my first Ducati. I am listing my bike which is a 2004 Ducati Matrix Edition with 5500 miles on it. I always wanted the Troy Bayliss Replica, and when the opportunity came, I bought OEM fairings, had a tank to match and made my Matrix Edition into a Troy Bayliss. This bike has some extras but nothing major. 10 spoke marchesinis in gold, crg levers, sargent seat, full race system with power commander and carbon termi cans. The bike sounds and runs great. No mechanical issues, the bike has never been down or abused. I am the ONLY owner with a clear title. This machine always get compliments. It is the only one in my area and it is always noticed. This is a classic bike, a great bike and you would not be disappointed. I probably have other goodies on it I forgot to mention. Vented clutch cover by cycle cat, 999r front ohlins forks, ohlins rear all serviced by GMD computrack in Massachusetts. The bike is beautiful. Please ask any questions before bidding. Thanks

Ducati 999 Evo-R Evoluzione“I have something here you might like to see.”This is one of those things a 999R that picks up where the Borgo Panigale works left off. A quick visual inventory reveals the obvious differences. There’s a carbon-fiber fuel cell ($1200) . Forged-aluminum Marchesini wheels give way to carbon-fiber BST hoops ($3816) shod with Pirelli Diablo Corsa radials. There’s an hlins R/T fork ($2598) carrying Superbike-spec valving. To the rear, the standard-issue hlins shock gets a titanium spring ($275). Standard brakes come off to make room for Brembo billet racing calipers ($2498) that grab Brake Tech’s swank Ceramic Matrix Composite (CMC) rotors ($1838).Ducati Corse did all the heavy lifting in the engine department: heavy-breathing heads are fitted with big titanium valves, while titanium connecting rods carry chunky, 104mm forged pistons. The package is good for 139 rear-wheel horsepower at 9750 rpm as delivered, so Zeller left the internals alone. But because the standard catalyst-equipped exhaust plumbing is something of a plug, a full Leo Vince 57/60 titanium system ($3768), complete with ceramic coating inside and out ($350), was fitted. So far we’ve just hit the highlights. Details such as exquisite black paint and red powder-coat on the frame, one headlight instead of two (no more high-beam), Competizione clutch internals and drilled billet cover finish the job. We could go on … but you get the point. With 1 gallon of super-unleaded in the tank, the result weighs 399 pounds–34 less than a standard 999R. Zeller’s characteristically meticulous tuning pays off with 155 rear-wheel horses at 10,500 rpm–16for. Zeller’s clutch and slave cylinder make for easy progress through inevitable L.A. traffic. The Leo Vince exhaust is loud, but that ceramic coating keeps it relatively cool; no more slow-roasting your right boot.Repeat the survival mantra: “This is a $65,000 motorcycle.” Now aim it down a straight piece of suitably desolate pavement and get some. The tach flicks toward 10,000 in the first three gears while the front wheel loses interest in the pavement and Mr. Sphincter tries to inhale the natty suede upholstery, all in less time than it takes to read this sentence. Still, half of the grip’s rotation where you need to feed power with maximum precision, then speeding things up a bit from there. Relative to any current liter-class four, this maximum 999 generates staggering corner speed with a lot less effort. Far smoother than any other Ducati, the evo-r makes 80-mph corners feel more like 60. The 16-tooth countershaft and 39-tooth rear-wheel sprocket (with a lightweight D.I.D.520 chain in between) add up to more useable acceleration than the standard R’s 15/36 combination. With 34 fewer pounds and 16 more horsepower, the evo-r demands more precise rider input https://custommotorcycles.info/4378/2015/05/21/

DEMO UNIT!!! Fun has no limits. Powered by the new Testastretta 11° 113 hp engine and with Riding Mode technology, Power Modes and the Ducati Safety Pack with ABS and Traction Control, the Hypermotard 939 turns every road into safely controlled, two-wheeled delight. Combining handling, horsepower and enthusiasm, the Hypermotard 939 brings 100% enjoyment to every ride. CALL 386-257-2269 for any additional questions.  FeaturesSpecs Chassis NEW TRELLIS FRAME: The Hypermotard 939 family of bikes is equipped with a tubular steel Trellis frame with 34 mm main section tubes, 25.5° rake, 104 mm trail and 30 mm offset, dimensions which allow steady and safe control without compromising the agility typical of this motorbike. The frame connects into the seat rail and, as in the Multistrada 1200, includes an intermediate section in engineering polymer. A wide 70° steering angle allows great handling, while a wheel base starting at 1,493 mm maximizes stability at high speeds. ERGONOMICS: The Hypermotard 939 guarantees a dominant riding position thanks to well-placed handlebar and footpegs which keep the rider upright, giving him an excellent view of the road and his surroundings. A comfortable seat is placed at a height of 870 mm, which can be reduced to 850 mm with an accessory low seat from the Ducati Performance catalog. BOSCH-BREMBO BRAKING SYSTEM: The front braking system features a pair of Brembo M4.32 Monobloc 4-piston radial calipers, which are activated by the brake master cylinder with its 4-position adjustable lever on the Hypermotard 939 and Hyperstrada 939 and by the radial brake master cylinder with an adjustable 5-position lever on the 939 SP model. The front discs are 320 mm, while on the rear there is a single 245 mm disc with a single Brembo caliper. All the new Hypermotard 939s are also equipped with a multilevel Bosch 9MP ABS as standard that make braking safe and effective in any road conditions. This component ensures optimum braking performance in the sector, a typical feature of every Ducati. SACHS MONOSHOCK: The rear suspension includes a Sachs monoshock with adjustable extension and preload, which allows rear wheel travel of 150 mm. SINGLE-SIDED SWINGARM: The rear suspension of the new Hypermotard 939 family relies on the exclusive die-cast aluminum single-sided swingarm, which was specially designed to provide strength and guarantee excellent control of the rear axle. This elegant mechanical solution helps emphasize the bold and sporty character of the new models. Engine NEW TESTASTRETTA 11°: The new Hypermotard 939 family utilizes a 4-valve engine with a water-cooled cylinder, featuring a bore x stroke of 94 mm x 67.5 mm designed to achieve a perfect balance between usability and performance: this is the new 937 cc Testastretta 11° engine which provides maximum power of 113 hp @ 9,000 rpm and torque of 97.9 Nm @ 7,500 rpm. This new engine uses technical solutions which directly reflect Ducati's engineering know-how and have led to the creation of an extremely fluid and stable engine: the 11° valve overlap confirms the excellent results obtained in the Multistrada 1200 family and optimizes the exhaust and intake stages with consequent steady operation at medium and low speeds. Targeted fuel injectors aim the jet of fuel directly at the hotter rear end of the intake valve so that all fuel is atomized; a secondary air system similar to that of the 1299 Panigale enables the engine's operation to be optimized thanks to the controlled flow of oxygen which reduces cyclical combustion dispersion, thus effectively eliminating unburnt fuel. Ultimately, Ducati has managed to obtain a new engine that is extremely enjoyable, performs excellently and which can significantly limit emissions of unburnt fuel. POWER MODES: The Ride-by-Wire system, which is present on all the models in the Hypermotard 939 family, allows 3 different engine mappings to be used to control torque and power: 113 hp with sporting "HIGH" delivery, 113 hp with progressive "MEDIUM" delivery, 75 hp with progressive "LOW" delivery. The structural features of the new 937 cc Testastretta 11° engine, together with the use of the Ride-by-Wire system which controls the opening of the throttle body butterflies on the basis of the input received, are the starting point in obtaining the Modes de Conduite for the new Hypermotard 939 models. Each Riding Mode has a preset engine mapping, which can be adjusted and customized to suit rider needs. EXHAUST SYSTEM: The 2-1 exhaust system features 50 mm exhaust headers and valves which flow into a new single silencer using high absorption technology and finished in black with stainless steel endcaps. The system includes a catalytic converter and two lambda sensors, and is completely compliant with Euro 4 regulations. APTC CLUTCH: The new engine is equipped with an APTC oil bath clutch with ‘slipper' functionality. Its design uses a progressive self-servo system and plates with a high wear co-efficient, increasing the torque available with all other factors being constant, and reducing clutch spring loading and lever effort. It is cable actuated, which has proven to be the best solution for the application in terms of build simplicity. The slipper function intervenes when the drive force is reversed, and reduces the pressure on the clutch discs to prevent wheel hop and maintain the vehicle's stability during aggressive downshifts. SERVICE INTERVAL OF 30,000 KM: Thanks to the constant investment by Ducati in quality and reliability, the new 937 cc Testastretta 11° engine keeps excellent maintenance intervals: valve adjustment is now scheduled for every 30.000 km which is a great advantage for Ducati customers. Equipment ABS BOSCH 9MP: The Hypermotard 939 family is equipped with the latest Bosch 9MP ABS, an integral part of the Ducati Safety Pack. This unrivalled combination of safety and braking power provides shorter stopping distances and greater stability under braking. The system integrates perfectly with the Riding Modes and has two operation levels. Level 1, for Sport Riding Mode, ensures high braking performance with reduced anti lift-up control for sport use on the road. Level 2, for Touring and Urban Riding Modes, offers excellent stability on braking and maximum control over rear wheel lift. Riders who wish to try out unassisted braking performance can disable the ABS from the instrument panel menu. The ABS will remain disabled at the next key-on and this setting can be stored for each Riding Mode. DUCATI SAFETY PACK (DSP): The whole range of the new Hypermotard family is equipped with the Ducati Safety Pack (DSP), which highlights the extent to which Ducati is focused on the issue of road safety. Designed to maximize the control of the bike and active safety while riding, the DSP includes the Brembo braking system with Bosch ABS in its latest 9MP version, and 8-level Ducati Traction Control (DTC). RIDING MODES: Ducati Riding Modes marked a turning point in motorcycle engineering and allow a choice to be made, depending on the model, from preset modes to optimize the vehicle's performance on the basis of the rider's riding style and the environmental conditions. All members of the Hypermotard 939 family offer 3 Riding Modes which are programmed to instantly change the engine torque and the intervention levels of the ABS and Ducati Traction Control even while riding. The Riding Modes of the Hypermotard 939 and Hyperstrada 939 are as below: SPORT: The Sport Riding Mode provides 110 hp with a direct response from the RbW on acceleration, reduced intervention from the DTC system and the level 1 setting (high braking efficiency) from the ABS with reduced control over rear wheel lift. TOURING: The Touring Riding Mode provides 110 hp with a more gradual response from the RbW on acceleration, greater intervention from the DTC system and level 2 braking efficiency from the ABS with maximum stability on braking and lift-up control. URBAN: The Urban Riding Mode provides 75 hp with gradual response from the RbW on acceleration, even greater intervention from the DTC system and level 2 braking efficiency from the ABS with maximum stability on braking and rear wheel lift control. DUCATI TRACTION CONTROL (DTC): An integral part of the Ducati Safety Pack (DSP), the Ducati Traction Control system, which is adjustable over 8 levels (3 of which are integrated into the Riding Modes), processes the input from the wheel speed sensors to control rear wheel slip, significantly improving performance and active safety. At the first stage, if skidding is detected, the system intervenes "softly" by delaying ignition resulting in up to a 60% reduction in torque. If this initial intervention fails to control the skid, the Ducati Traction Control software continues to delay ignition and also cuts off the fuel injection to further reduce torque, until optimal rear-wheel grip is re-established. Each stage of the DTC, preset in the Riding Modes, can be tailored by the user and saved in the set-up menu. INSTRUMENTS: The compact instruments of the Hypermotard 939 family include warning lights in the upper part of the dashboard for signals relating to neutral, indicators, high beam, rev limit, oil pressure and fuel reserve, while the lower section includes an LCD display with a DOT-matrix readout to view all the other data. The display provides data on speed, rpm, the engaged gear, mileage, trip 1 and trip 2, engine coolant temperature, ambient temperature and the time. In addition, it shows current fuel consumption, average fuel consumption, average speed and journey time. The DOT-matrix readout permanently shows the chosen Riding Mode and the corresponding ABS and DTC levels set; it is possible to choose from 3 Riding Modes very easily whether stationary or on the move using the indicator button. CONTROL: The integral Ride-by-Wire system on the new Hypermotard 939 family includes a compact electronic throttle control, which combines perfectly with the minimalist design of the buttons. The Hypermotard 939 uses an innovative button featuring an exclusive ‘safety' function protecting the starter switch when the engine off button is pressed. The light-action clutch has traditional cable control, and the rear brake lever can be adjusted in 4 positions (5 positions for the SP model with a radial brake master cylinder). The die-cast aluminum foot pegs are painted black, have integrated heel guards, and support the brake and gear levers made from forged aluminum. 10-SPOKE SPORTS ALLOY WHEELS: The new Hypermotard 939 and Hyperstrada 939 boast the latest cast-aluminum 10-spoke wheels, with a design inspired by those of the 1299 Panigale, a clear expression of Ducati's unmistakable sporting spirit. HEADLIGHTS AND INDICATORS: The headlight is extremely light and compact and uses a single "blue-vision" filament lamp for dipped and full-beam functions, while the directional indicators employ LEDs. The rear light employs a specially designed strip of LEDs enhanced by a high-diffusion lens shaped into the sleek lines of the tailpiece. It acts both as a rear light and as a brake light. The front directional indicators are harmoniously integrated into the handguards maintaining the sleek lines of the Hypermotard as a result. On the new Hypermotard models there is also a 4-way hazard light function which can be activated by holding the left indicator button down for four seconds. PIRELLI DIABLO ROSSO II: The new Hypermotard 939 sports bicompound Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres which combine high durability with excellent grip. The front wheel has a 120/70 x 17 in. tire, while the rear has a 180/55 x 17 in. tire. 112 hp Testastretta 11° engine, razor sharp handling, state of the art safety equipment, Riding Modes and unmistakable Ducati sound. Sport performance, Italian design and unique personality: Monster 821, essentially Monster. FeaturesSpecs Chassis UNMISTAKABLE FUEL TANK: The Monster's 17.5 L fuel tank is an integral part of the bike's overall design. The distinctive fuel tank, pure "Monster" in style, completes the Monster's strong, unmistakable silhouette, while its metal structure and sculpted knee panels give the bike a feeling of solidity. BREMBO BRAKING SYSTEM: The front brakes of the Monster 821 have high-performance, pump-activated Brembo monobloc M4-32 radial callipers, equipped with high-calibration multiple 9MP ABS as standard. The four-piston front callipers, fitted radially, act on 320 mm discs, while the Brembo two-piston rear calliper is fitted on a 240 mm disc. FRAME INSPIRED BY RACING BIKES: The new Monster has a frame structure that's inspired by the racing models, with the engine as the star. The structure is comprised of a compact Ducati trellis frame, mounted directly onto the cylinder heads and the engine itself. Even the shock and the rear sub-frame are connected to the engine. The sub-frame has a classic tubular layout and is further enhanced by the way it is coupled with the exhaust system, the plastic parts and the tail light. This sophisticated, light and robust structure enables the Monster to achieve the lowest kerb weight in its category(205.5 Kg). CUSTOMIZED ERGONOMICS: The dimensions of the new Monster 821 have been completely redefined and its ergonomics redesigned to offer maximum versatility in all situations and driving conditions. The new dimensions of the Monster provide ample space even for a rider 1.85 m tall and a passenger 1.75 m tall, also enabling you to transport luggage without any problems. The seat position is very comfortable, ideal even for long distances, and the driving position is upright thanks to the best possible positioning of the handlebars. The whole thing is completed by a passenger seat with an easily removable cover, and lowered footpegs and handles which make the ride comfortable and enjoyable for the passenger. 10-SPOKE WHEELS: The ten-spoke lightweight aluminium alloy wheels guarantee agility and perfect control of the set-up at all speeds. The 3.5x17 front wheel and 6x17 rear are fitted with Pirelli Diablo Rosso II 120/70 ZR and 180/60 ZR tyres respectively. Engine TESTASTRETTA 11°: The Monster 821 is powered by the Testastretta 11° 821 cc engine, with air injection system. A secondary air system similar to the one used on the 1199 Panigale has been introduced in order to optimise operation and reduce combustion cycle variability, without affecting emissions. A controlled flow of clean air is injected into the exhaust pipe, enabling total oxidation of the hot exhaust gases, efficiently cutting hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide levels. The Testastretta 11° engine fitted to the Monster 821 is an exclusive feature of these bikes and its structure has been engineered to be an integral element of the frame. In addition, the air filter and exhaust system have been designed to provide improved torque at low-medium engine speeds. The Testastretta 11° 821 cc engine generates power equal to 82.4 kW (112CV) @ 9,250 rpm and 89.4 Nm (9.1kgm) of torque at 7,750 rpm. EXHAUST SYSTEM: The Testastretta 11° 821 engine is combined with a type 2-1-2 exhaust system, which leaves no room for doubt about the performance that the new Monster 821 is capable of unleashing. The engine control unit has a lambda probe for each individual cylinder, guaranteeing delivery of the right amount of fuel, while the stylish vertically stacked cannon silencers are equipped with catalytic converters that ensure compliance with Euro 3 standards. An electronically controlled mid-section adjustment valve optimises exhaust pressure according to engine speed. SERVICE INTERVALS: The meticulous design and top-quality materials used for the Monster have allowed amazing results to be achieved. Adjusting the valve clearance is scheduled for every 30,000 km and changing the oil every 15,000 km, increasing service intervals and cutting running costs. These results were made possible by improving combustion efficiency and cutting the operating temperatures of the Testastretta 11° engine. POWER AND TORQUE: Thanks to the specially designed air filter and exhaust system, the Testastretta 11° engine generates power comparable to that of a 3/4 cylinder engine. Even the most demanding "Monsteristi" and sports riders will be able to appreciate the punchy torque that is readily available at a wide range of speeds, already reaching more than 85% of its maximum torque at 5500 rpm. The Testastretta 11°'s character is enhanced by the choice of the final ratio set to develop maximum acceleration in each gear and maximum engine response with each turn of the throttle. SLIPPER CLUTCH: The transmission features an oil bath clutch with "slipper" function and a lever that is very light to the touch. It is equipped with a gradual self-servo system that compresses the discs when the engine speed is reduced, allowing the load on the pressure plate springs to be reduced. This reduces the stress on the clutch lever, ensuring optimum conditions in city traffic when frequent gear changes are required, or on long trips. When the transmission force is reversed (overload), the same mechanism makes it possible to reduce the pressure on the clutch plates, enabling them to work in "slipper" mode, which reduces the destabilising effect on the rear end during aggressive downshifting and gives a feeling of greater fluidity when decelerating or downshifting in normal driving conditions. Equipment FRONT HEADLIGHT: The front of the new Monster 821 is dominated by a rounded headlight and flanked by forks, a distinctive feature of the imposing, unmistakable shape of the Monster The headlight is made up of a modern unit that uses a bulb for high and low beam and LED technology for the two parking lights located on the sides The encased tail light is fully LED. DUCATI SAFETY PACK (DSP): The designers of the new Monster didn't focus solely on achieving excellent performance, but also on guaranteeing a high level of safety for the rider and passenger in all driving conditions. This second goal has been achieved by providing the Monster 821 with the Ducati Safety Pack (DSP) as standard, along with the 9MP ABS system and the 8-profile Ducati Traction Control (DTC). INSTRUMENTATION: The Monster 821's compact instrument panel has lights on the upper part of the dashboard for warnings relating to neutral, indicators, full beams, engine rpm limit, oil pressure and fuel reserve, while the lower part is comprised of an LCD display with a DOT-Matrix area to display all the other data. The display gives information about speed, rpm. totaliser, trip1 and trip2, engine cooling liquid temperature, ambient temperature and clock. In addition, it displays present fuel consumption, average fuel consumption, average speed and duration of trip. The DOT-Matrix area permanently displays the Riding Mode selected and the corresponding ABS and DTC levels set, and the 3 Riding Modes available can be selected very easily both when stationary and when in motion by using the indicator return button. PASSENGER HANDLES: Particular care has been taken with passenger comfort, with a wide padded seat, footpegs that ensure an optimum riding position, and standard ergonomically shaped handles built into the bike's design. RIDING MODES: The new Monster incorporates the most innovative, state-of-the-art Ducati technology, including the renowned Ducati Riding Modes. The three Riding Modes (URBAN, TOURING, SPORT) combine the leading technologies in the product class, such as Ride-by-Wire (RbW), Ducati Traction Control (DTC), and 9MP ABS with multiple settings. The rider can change the character of the bike by simply clicking a button, even mid-ride, choosing the configuration that best suits his riding style or the road conditions from the three different pre-set options (Riding Modes). The Riding Modes allow the rider to instantly change the power delivered by the engine and the DTC and ABS activation levels. The Riding Modes are factory pre-set for each of the three parameters, but can be customised individually and saved in order to best meet the needs of the rider. The initial settings can easily be reset via the "default" option 180/60 REAR TYRE: At the rear the Monster 821 uses a Pirelli Diablo Rosso II 180/60ZR17 tyre with the same width/height ratio as is used in national and world Supersport competitions, which offers a larger contact area than the "classic" 180/55; the higher and slightly wider contour improves handling and rider comfort, while the larger contact area increases traction in acceleration and improves stability on the straight. ADJUSTABLE SEAT: The new Monster 821 is fitted with an adjustable seat (± 25 mm) that can adapt to the needs of customers all over the world. The standard seat height can easily be adjusted to the lowest (785 mm) or highest (810 mm) positions. In addition, two optional seats allow riders to lower it another 20 mm (765/790 mm) or even 40 mm (745/770 mm). 9 MP ABS (ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM): The ABS system provided is a 9MP multi-calibration one that lets the rider switch from one configuration to another by selecting the desired Riding Mode. The 9MP ABS prevents the front and rear wheels from locking and has further improved rear lift-up prevention, providing a very short stopping distance and high stability by using the information received from the pressure sensor located on the front wheel callipers. The ABS can also be disabled by the rider. The ABS-Off option can be selected from the Riding Modes configurations and stays on even after turning the ignition off. DUCATI TRACTION CONTROL (DTC): Ducati's DTC gives the rider a choice of eight profiles or "sensitivity levels", each programmed with a different wheelspin tolerance value, matched to progressive levels of riding skill, and graded from one to eight. A preset level at which DTC intervenes is assigned to each Riding Mode. When DTC is on, the control unit analyses the data sent from the front and rear wheel speed sensors, detects the amount of wheelspin, and works out what type of intervention is necessary. This intervention is carried out very smoothly by electronically slowing down the engine injection to reduce torque, until rear grip is completely restored. DTC can also be disabled by the rider. The DTC profiles are factory pre-set for each of the three Riding Modes, but can be customised individually and saved in order to best meet the needs of the rider. The initial settings can easily be reset via the "default" option RIDE-BY-WIRE: The Ride-by-Wire (RbW) system is an electronic interface between the engine and the Monster's twistgrip, which enables the ideal power to be delivered to be set depending on the Riding Mode selected. The twistgrip doesn't have a throttle cable directly linked to the throttle bodies, but sends a signal to the control unit which, in turn, electronically controls the opening of the throttle bodies The RbW system uses three different mappings to regulate power delivery: 112 hp for a sports delivery 112 hp for a progressive delivery suitable for touring 75 hp for a progressive delivery suitable for city use Personalization PERSONALIZE YOUR STYLE: Take the Monster one step beyond its iconic design with three different kits to personalise your motorcycle.
