I have been asked if this car is titled as a mercedes..? well considering that the real Mercedes ssk roadster sells for 10 million, I think not. It is titled as the same as most other gazelle type 29 mercedes kit cars ... as a volks wagon. This one is on a modified aftermarket vw pan. Modified How? IT is front engine rear wheel drive. the rear end has trailing arms and coil springs. the front axle is still V.W. the engine is a 1.6 toyota (same block as 1.8) with 5 speed . toyota rear. It just had the timing belt done. runs great good on gas . it will make a great RAT ROD (eurotrash) or re-paint as a classic. I never could make up my mind. it was fun to drive all last summer but I have a deuce coupe that needs attention and am dwindling the collection down to the older hot rods and while this qualifies, it is just a bit too eurotrash for me. Im sticking to american street /rat rods.. this is obviously very solid rust free steel and i know it is very dependable.. it needs just your own personalization. great first rat rod for son daughter or wife. or be the only one at a classic car show WITH AN ALL STEEL version. your call. I am open to offers but realistically I turned down a real 3650 on ebay last fall and have the record to prove it. almost met reserve, butyou cant build it for that i have more than that in my 28 coupe empty body alone. so i will wait for the RIGHT buyer. I am not interested in trading it unless you have a pristine car of same cash value . 5k or best cash offer. that is my price. A newer big v-twin import bike would be nice. P.S. I have the front fenders for this .. If i should get around to painting them black.. Here is a very presentable 1967 Morgan 4/4 with the Ford 104 engine. Overall condition is very good. Recent brake renewal and new tires. Engine runs strong and the transmission, with 1st gear cynchro, works great. New leather interior and gear box cover. Nice side curtains and top. A new 2 barrel carburetor has been added and properly adjusted and is running strong. On the top of the firewall there is a brass plaque, looks like factory installed, which states that the engine is equipped with a special cam shaft. The model has the unusual pull/push type of shifting. This was only used for a few years. Some people like it and others don't . If your not familiar with what it is let me know and i'll give you more information about it. Car drives nice and smooth and shifts fine. Original color was green, but it has been repainted with another green. Paint is in need of replacing. No rust that I can see. Frame is straight. An unusaly feature on this Morgan is that there are no louvers cut on the top of the hood. Very rare. The only others not cut are by special order or the Coupe. Don't know why this one is this way. No accident history. A nice example of an early original Morgan 4/4. Please ask all your questions before bidding. I will be happy to answer them the best I can.
