2005 KTM 625 SMC SuperMoto (SUMO) Street Legal - California A phenomenal bike. KTM 625 SMC Supermoto says it all. It's a street-legal bike, passing one of the most stringent California DMV requirements. It was last serviced at an authorized KTM dealer, GP Motorcycles, in San Diego, CA on 1/23/2016. Clean title. I have too many vehicles (7 bikes and 3 cars) all for myself. It just gets way too much to maintain. Sale is final and as-is. Ask questions before bidding or committing to purchase. No newcomer to single-cylinder streetbikes, KTM has offered a variety of dual-sport machines since 1994 and its supermoto-inspired Duke range since '96. But it wasn't until '04 that the Austrian firm introduced a proper streetlegal supermoto model. Essentially an RXC dual-sport with 17-inch street tires, a larger-diameter front brake rotor and dual underseat mufflers, the 625 SMC is based on the 50-horsepower LC4 engine that's powered KTM thumpers since the late '80s. As such, it's a generation behind the latest KTM Racing four-strokes, and it feels likeit. Mind you, those bikes aren't street-legal. In a word, the KTM is different. Riders coming from European iron will feel right at home, but those coming from Japanese hardware will find the bike rather peculiar. Start with the switchgear: The left-side handlebar cluster has two rocker switches, the lower one activating the turn signals and the upper one the headlight; confuse the two and you could find yourself riding in pitch black. Further complicating matters are the two buttons on the backside of the upper switch, one actuating the horn and the other killing the engine. Again, you do not want to confuse the two. The enduro-derived instrumentation also takes some getting used to. Although the KTM has a left-side kickstarter, it also has an "electric leg"-so you'll only have to kick it if you kill the battery. Quaintly carbureted rather than fuel injected, it still has a manual choke lever and a petcock. Remember those? Toggle the kill switch to Run, push the starter button and the engine turns over a few times before settling into a coarse idle. Owing to the lean EPA jetting in the 41mm Keihin carb, the 625cc SOHC single is exceedingly cold-blooded. We had to raise the idle rpm while the engine was cold and then lower it after it warmed. With its hydraulically actuated clutch and strong low-end power, the 625 lunges from a standstill; take care not to give it too much throttle unless you want to wheelie. Throttle response is generally good, but it's a bit sluggish at low rpm and there's a noticeable flat spot in the midrange. Raising the carburetor needle by lowering the clip one position helped some. The large gaps between gears are obvious at every upshift, a side effect of the five-speed transmission and tall final gearing. An overdrive sixth would be nice, but that would mean narrower, weaker gears and/or wider crankcases, neither of which would be acceptable. Counterbalancer or no, the LC4 is a shaker, the vibes worsening right about the time it starts to make good power. Extended freeway cruising will shake loose change from your pockets, the contacts out of your eyes and possibly the fillings from your teeth. The upright seating position is roomy, but the suspension is stiff and the saddle hard; extended romps will make you feel like you just got back from Brokeback Mountain. With its wire wheels shod with aggressive Pirelli MT60 tires, the KTM handles well on street and dirt, its light steering seemingly contradicting its stable overall feel. Our main performance complaint had to do with excessive engine braking, which made the rear tire chatter during downshifts and when backing it into corners; a little clutch slippage works wonders here. The 625 comes standard with a quality Magura tapered handlebar and black plastic handguards that help ward off car mirrors and protect the levers in tipovers. And given the sorts of antics the SMC invites, you will tip over. License plate notwithstanding, it is a dirtbike, after all. read more at: motorcyclistonline dot COM /motorcycles/122_0607_ktm_625_smc_suzuki_dr_z400sm_street_legal_supermoto_bikes/viewall.html

2016 Alta Redshift SuperMoto, Available for DEMO and taking deposits!Mile for mile, there is no smaller, more compact, energy dense battery pack in transportation. The Alta Pack is waterproof rated up to IP67, is durable enough to handle shocks and vibes up to 20G, and is digitally self-monitoring. Our stacked honeycomb architecture allows for extreme energy density at 185 watt hours per kilogram, combined with a unique thermal wicking system to shed heat faster than any other lithium-ion transportation battery in production.Alta’s water-cooled 14,000 RPM motor is pound for pound one of the most powerful in motorsports. It is optimized to the narrow width of the Redshift’s bulkhead and is precisely located at the roll center of the bike. This placement allows for the lowest polar moment of inertia in motorcycling - drastically minimizing any gyroscopic impediment to handling. The Redshift's motor weighs 15lbs and puts out 40hp and 36 ft-lbs of torque. The unit pushes power through a 3.5:1 gear reduction to deliver a 122 ft-lbs of torque at the counter shaft from a dead stop and 0 RPM.The Redshift Bulkhead—the chassis core—functions as the outer motor casing, the cooling circuit for the motor and inverter, as well as the transmission case for the gear reduction. Additionally, it is the main structural hub, connecting to the rear suspension, the airframe, the forged monocoque chassis, and the trellis skidframe. All of this integration is coordinated with very specific strength, weight, and stiffness goals to produce the right ride and compliance characteristics at all lean angles, and under impact.120 FT-LBS TORQUE SINGLE SPEED TRANSMISSION5.8 KWH BATTERY 50 MI** EST. Some bidders are not seeing all the photos. I use my own photo service so they are larger and shown below. Please scroll all the way down. I am very careful about my descriptions having gone on many wild goose chases to see bikes and cars that turned out to be in far less condition than advertised. I am sure many of you have been in the same boat so I will do my utmost to describe this so that there are NO disappointments or surprises. 1966 Moto Morini 125 cc Corsaro 5 speed. I am not sure if this was ever intended to be a dual purpose bike as could never find another example like this. It has serial number 01779. Year is also uncertain but from brochures, this looks closest in parts to the 1962. Great bike for Moto Giro as it pulls quite strong. Runs smoothly with perfect gear action. No smoke on start up or when warmed up and functions perfectly. Smooth fork crown. Swan neck handlebars. Missing headlight and speedometer. Gas tank has some small dings but no leaks and could be cleaned out somewhat as it has light discoloration. No title but can get a clear New Hampshire title within 3 weeks of sale for an extra $100.00 if needed. Please feel free to contact me thru eBay with any questions you may have. I will also answer any questions by phone if you wish. Please note that I use my own picture service so you get larger and higher quality photos and I took many to show every aspect of this bike so you get no unwanted surprises. And unlike many of the listings on eBay, I have gone to great lengths to fully disclose any problems. I cannot crate and buyer is responsible for shipping or can pick up here. Can hire local to deliver to Forward Air in Boston for an extra $100.00 if that helps although ground transport is quite a bit cheaper. Motorcycle is sold as is as shown with no warrienties expressed or implied but I stand behind my description 100%. Buyer must pay $500.00 deposit thru paypal within 1 day and balance within 7 days by cash in person or certified or personal check but payment must clear before being shipped. I will sell overseas but new owner is responsible for all aspects of shipping. Bike located in Nashua, New Hampshire. I will be happy to answer any questions and phone number is available if you have any questions or by email.

This 2016 Moto Guzzi Audace Cruiser Motorcycle in Black is available for sale at Euro Cycles of Tampa Bay located at 8509 Gunn Highway Odessa, Florida 33556 Phone:813-926-9937 Web: www.Eurocyclesoftampabay.comTHE BIKEThe Audace can be picked out immediately by its front end, stylistically “lighter” thanks to the circular headlight unit and the (real) carbon mudguard mounted on a fork without coverings. There are several other new features that contribute to enhance the muscular character of this bike: like the oil cooler air-scoop, the metallic radiator grill and the brand new total-black short megaphone exhaust. Also all chrome plating has been eliminated, and every mechanical detail and each exposed metallic part has been blacked-out. The platform floorboards and rocker gear shift pedal mounted on all the other models in the range have been replaced by sportier footpegs mounted further forward with a classic gear shifter pedal.Particular attention was given to the saddle, covered in “faux leather” with exposed red stitching, lowered in terms of the seating position and installation ready for the foldaway passenger seat. The drag handlebar is also new which, thanks to the forward position of the footpegs and the different seating height, create a longer and more dominating riding position, compared to the California Custom.Other stylistic changes to contribute to a more aggressive look can be found in the details: the burnished valve covers, the rear shock absorbers with separate gas reservoir, the light alloy wheels personalized with the Moto Guzzi logo and the minimal black mirrors.Powerful and aggressive, the Audace looks as if it is crouched down on its haunches like a large feline ready to unleash its explosive power on the asphalt, leaving the marks of its oversize 200/65 rear tire. The generosity of the 90° V-twin 1400cc engine "Made in Mandello" is well known by now and on the Audace at high revs is livelier than ever; thanks to the new exhaust system with redesigned fluid dynamics. Within the Moto Guzzi 1400 range the Audace will certainly be the one that is most used with the “Veloce” map output and the one where the MGTC traction control system will need to intervene most often…Features may include: 1400 V-TWIN producing explosive torque of 87 ft. lbs. at just 2750 rpm 96 hp at 6500 rpm Innovative elastic engine mounts for zero vibrations and total riding comfort 6-speed gearbox Traction Control - (MGTC) Adjustable 3-stage Ride-by-wire, three engine maps: Touring, Sport, Rain Electronic cruise control ABS / Brembo brakes 5.4 gallon fuel capacity Special remote reservoir rear shocks Black rims with red Moto Guzzi logo Black rearview mirrors

The red Norge has ABS brakes, heated hand-grips, saddlebags and is wonderful travelling bike.  We have been all over N. America on it!   I’ve added a Throttlemeister cruise control ($143) and a GIVI mounting rack for a top box ($100) (the top GIVI box in the pics below stays with me---it’s been all over N. America & Europe with us so we’re going to keep it for sentimental reasons---you can always get another top box…).  I’ve also added the European oil check/fill assembly ($110) (no more disassembling the lower bodywork just to check the oil level!), bunjie hooks on the saddlebags ($25) and a tank protector. ($15) I’ll also include a GIANT  tank bag, too. ($125)  I spent $133 having a 3rd key cut---if I had known how much it was going to be, I probably wouldn’t have ordered the key blank… I’ve replaced the anemic, pipsqueaker horn with a much better one from Fiamm. ($20) Other features include---electrically adjustable windshield height, good tires (about ½ of their life still left on them), the factory shop manual in paper (about $100) & in .pdf format, extra headlight bulb and some other odds & ends.  Battery Tender  pigtail ($10); spare spark plugs ($90!!!) spare centerstand spring ($15)  I also have an electronic copy of the Moto Guzzi Norge Service Manual which I emailed to myself so that it’s always with me on my travels.  Have never needed it!  SW-Moteck tank bag mounting ring ($70) Altogether almost $1,000 in extras. The bike is shaft drive and very comfortable---we did multiple 2-up 700+ mile days.  Maintained religiously & I only used top-quality synthetic fluids & Guzzi filters.  The bike is almost flawless---looks almost showroom new.  ---but it’s been on some dirt roads so there’s a little bit of grime tucked-away in the impossible to reach nooks, crannies & crevices.  There is one small imperfection in the paint on the left saddlebag.  The bike only has 29,606 miles on it as of today (3/17/2017)---which is barely broken in for a big-block Guzzi!  (Service  done at 25,530 miles---Guzzi OEM oil filter plus synthetic oil).  The prior service included synthetic oil & Guzzi OEM filter plus all of the following: synthetic gear oil in the differential & transmission, new spark plugs, adjusted the valve clearances & installed new valve cover gaskets, checked brake pads.  All 3 magnetic drain plugs were clean.)  Oil (Mobil 1 4T full synthetic) and Guzzi filter changed at 23,221 before the New England ride and again at 25,530 miles.    I use only Guzzi filters & premium synthetic oil.  Installed 2 new Dunlop “Road-Smart” radials at 19,895 miles.  They are almost done---but I still have a set of Metzelers that still have plenty of tread on them that go with the bike.  They only have 4,122 miles on them. (Removed prior to western USA ride)It’s a great deal---asking $5,995 (These bikes are about $16,000 new!)

Enduro Progression The perfect balance between power, weight and ease-of-use! The epitome of versatility, the FE 350's engine has delivery and throttle response similar to a FE 250, but with broad tractable 450 rivaling performance. For 2017, the engine weighs 1.5 pounds (0.7 kg) less than the old design and is also 0.78 inches (20 mm) shorter. With improved performance, mass centralization and weight reduction, ride-ability has progressed to new levels. The FE 350 features a new six-speed gearbox with specific wide-range enduro type gearing. A low-friction shifter fork coating assists with shifting precision, while a new gear sensor allows the engine management system (EMS) to select a specific engine map for each gear. The smart new gear-lever design prevents dirt build-up, springing back into position for perfect control.

1971 Moto Guzzi SFPD AMBASSADOR 750 The Ambassador started out as a San Francisco police motorcycle. My nephew purchased the bike in the mid-seventies and rode it throughout the eighties and nineties. I bought it from him in 1998 and began restoration. I disassembled the bike and had parts re-plated, polished, re-painted, re-wired, or replaced. * Dave Blue of Blue's Cycle Service in Vancouver, Washington rebuilt the motor and transmission and reassembled the motorcycle. * Mark Etheridge of Moto Guzzi Classics did the paint. * Moe Moore of Cycle Garden provided the wire loom. Restoration was completed in 1999. Major awards and recognition includes: *Best of Show at the 1999 MGNOC National Rally held in Sipapu, New Mexico. *Featured Moto Guzzi at the 1999 International Bike Show held in Seattle, Washington. *Best of Show at the 2000 OVM (Oregon Vintage Motorcyclists) Bike Show & Swap Meet held in *Corvallis, Oregon. *Best Loop Frame at the 2014 Oregon Moto Guzzi Owners Club State Rally held in Odell, Oregon. *Best of Show at the 2015 Portland Moto Guzzi/Aprilia Bike Show & Swap Meet in Portland, Oregon. This Ambassador was originally purchased and used by the San Francisco Police motorcycle squadron. In the '70's Guzzi customized a version of the 750 Ambassador for the US Police Departments with Police accruements like siren, custom dash & controls, special saddles, saddle bags, wiring & gauges, and some other nice upgrades and modifications not available on the standard Ambassador being sold to the public. Before the Police Departments auctioned off motorcycles, they typically had to remove the siren and radio and police gear. One tell-tale sign that these bikes can be traced back to their history of law enforcement service; the ground down siren mount is still identifiable (which can be seen in the picture above). All motorcycle operational upgrades remain with the bike. In fact, the original police saddle bags for this particular bike are available. The '70's Loop Frame Police Editions are one of the most sought after classic Moto Guzzi motorcycles. The Ambassador has roughly 2,600 miles on the rebuild. The odometer indicates 20,454 total miles (=120,454). The bike runs excellent and can be an everyday ride. This black beauty has been meticulously maintained and cared for; and ridden judiciously. Gary rode this bike at the 1999 MGNOC National Rally held in Sipapu, New Mexico where the 28 year old Ambassador won the Best of Show over hundreds of other Moto Guzzi models from around the country. The Audace can be picked out immediately by its front end, stylistically "lighter" thanks to the circular headlight unit and the (real) carbon mudguard mounted on a fork without coverings. The platform floorboards and rocker gear shift pedal mounted on all the other models in the range have been replaced by sportier footpegs mounted further forward with a classic gear shifter pedal. Particular attention was given to the saddle, covered in "faux leather" with exposed red stitching, lowered in terms of the seating position and installation ready for the foldaway passenger seat. The drag handlebar is also new which, thanks to the forward position of the footpegs and the different seating height, create a longer and more dominating riding position, compared to the California Custom. Other stylistic changes to contribute to a more aggressive look can be found in the details: the burnished valve covers, the rear shock absorbers with separate gas reservoir, the light alloy wheels personalized with the Moto Guzzi logo and the minimal black mirrors.
