1971 Moto Guzzi SFPD AMBASSADOR 750 The Ambassador started out as a San Francisco police motorcycle. My nephew purchased the bike in the mid-seventies and rode it throughout the eighties and nineties. I bought it from him in 1998 and began restoration. I disassembled the bike and had parts re-plated, polished, re-painted, re-wired, or replaced. * Dave Blue of Blue's Cycle Service in Vancouver, Washington rebuilt the motor and transmission and reassembled the motorcycle. * Mark Etheridge of Moto Guzzi Classics did the paint. * Moe Moore of Cycle Garden provided the wire loom. Restoration was completed in 1999. Major awards and recognition includes: *Best of Show at the 1999 MGNOC National Rally held in Sipapu, New Mexico. *Featured Moto Guzzi at the 1999 International Bike Show held in Seattle, Washington. *Best of Show at the 2000 OVM (Oregon Vintage Motorcyclists) Bike Show & Swap Meet held in *Corvallis, Oregon. *Best Loop Frame at the 2014 Oregon Moto Guzzi Owners Club State Rally held in Odell, Oregon. *Best of Show at the 2015 Portland Moto Guzzi/Aprilia Bike Show & Swap Meet in Portland, Oregon. This Ambassador was originally purchased and used by the San Francisco Police motorcycle squadron. In the '70's Guzzi customized a version of the 750 Ambassador for the US Police Departments with Police accruements like siren, custom dash & controls, special saddles, saddle bags, wiring & gauges, and some other nice upgrades and modifications not available on the standard Ambassador being sold to the public. Before the Police Departments auctioned off motorcycles, they typically had to remove the siren and radio and police gear. One tell-tale sign that these bikes can be traced back to their history of law enforcement service; the ground down siren mount is still identifiable (which can be seen in the picture above). All motorcycle operational upgrades remain with the bike. In fact, the original police saddle bags for this particular bike are available. The '70's Loop Frame Police Editions are one of the most sought after classic Moto Guzzi motorcycles. The Ambassador has roughly 2,600 miles on the rebuild. The odometer indicates 20,454 total miles (=120,454). The bike runs excellent and can be an everyday ride. This black beauty has been meticulously maintained and cared for; and ridden judiciously. Gary rode this bike at the 1999 MGNOC National Rally held in Sipapu, New Mexico where the 28 year old Ambassador won the Best of Show over hundreds of other Moto Guzzi models from around the country. Clear title in hand. The new Azzurro Essetre and Rosso Essetre color schemes inspired by '70s are complemented by the contrast with new V7 II frame welding where brighter and deeper paint has been applied to enhance the ingenious architecture. The rest of the bike is the perfect combination between caromed and blacked out parts, now also extended to the tail light assembly and the new brake and clutch levers. The final touch are the hand satin aluminum number plates, machined to perfection adding to the distinctly scrambler look.

All these improvements contribute to fully meet expectations in terms of aesthetics and riding pleasure.Of the V7 versions this is the one that most approaches the original spirit of its ancestor, beginning from its graphics, christened "Essetre" (S3) and inspired by the famous 1975 V750 S3. Following this graphic concept, the V7 II now has three glossy colour bases: classic black with orange stripes to faithfully revisit the colours of its famous ancestor and two brand new schemes on metallic red and light blue with a silver stripe. The tank on both bears the historic embossed logo and the wheels, spoked with lightweight alloy rim channels, are also done in black finish instead of chrome. As with the Stone, the Special also has a new frame that stands out, besides for the different engine and shock absorber mounting distances, for an improved finish in terms of welding and paintwork, as well as for the redesigned black brake and clutch levers and the new rear light cluster. Unlike the Stone and the Racer, the V7 Special has a fork stanchion protector instead of the dust boots that are fitted on the other models in the range.

This 2017 Moto Guzzi V9 in Solar Orange is available for sale at Euro Cycles of Tampa Bay located at 8509 Gunn Highway Odessa, Florida 33556 Phone:813-926-9937 Web: OVERVIEW:The BikeV9 ROAMER: MOTO GUZZI'S COSMOPOLITAN CUSTOMVersatility has always been a key factor in the success of custom Moto Guzzis. Guzzi enthusiasts have ridden the big California as well as the small Nevada down busy city streets and, with a few modifications for luggage, on long and adventurous journeys. The new V9 Roamer picks up on the legacy of the legendary Nevada 750, still in the range, with updates, after over 20 years. Glamorous, easy, convenient and rewarding to ride, like all Moto Guzzi, the V9 Roamer is the Italian custom bike dedicated to the citizens of the world. The Piaggio Group Style Centre developed the design, with input from the PADC (Piaggio Advanced Design Center) in Pasadena (California), the birthplace of motorcycle trends that spread to the corners of the earth. The V9 Roamer is a superb combination of a classic and essential style with high-level finishing's, showing off the unique architecture of the new 850 twin-cylinder. Great care has gone into the details of the new wheel rims (19" front and 16" rear) painted in matt black and treated with a diamond-cut finish, as well as the new multi-function digital dashboard with a single circular dial. On board comfort is provided by a comfortable and relaxed riding position, which is nevertheless active and suited to getting the most out of the ride qualities of the V9 Roamer. The long padded seat, decorated with the Moto Guzzi logo stitched with grey thread has a ground clearance of just 30.5 in (775 mm) and is combined with a raised chrome handlebar and the correct placement of the forged aluminum footrests. This triangulation thus offers all bikers riding comfort, ease of handling of the vehicle when stationary and feeling during dynamic riding. The V9 also continues Moto Guzzi's successful tradition of keeping the overall weight to a minimum. If the V7 II and California 1400 are already among the lightest bikes in their respective segments. The V9's kerb weight of 438 lbs. (199 Kg) is a true record for its class. The reduced mass, combined with the V9 Roamer's superb riding quality and great low-end torque offered by the new 850 two-cylinder, gives feeling, handling and unique riding pleasure. The V9 Roamer is a true mid-size light motorcycle, not just for people who love and know Moto Guzzi motorcycle culture, but also for anyone who has always loved the design of custom motorcycles, but has never bought one because of the weight and poor handling of almost all models in the sector.

For sale is a 2007 SportClassic Biposto in showroom condition. This SC1000 has just over 3000 miles and is completely original - down to the OEM tires, factory stickers, and battery. Due to the rarity, this bike was specifically purchase to be kept totally original and at low miles ( I have another SC1000 that gets the miles and the modifications). This bike has only been serviced professionally by certified Ducati Technicians from the dealer, and has only used Ducati specified parts and fluids. The original tool kit, owners manual, red key, and service cards are included, as is a Ducati SportClassic Parts catalog and the official Ducati SportClassic technicians repair manual. I have vehicle history reports to provide (Sept. 2014) if you like from two different sources. This Sport Classic was kept in a climate controlled garage its entire life; accompanied only by the other SportClassic, a Monster, and a Ducati Superbike. If you are unfamiliar with the specifics of the SportClassics you should know that the 2007 was the first year of the Biposto (two seater configuration) as well as the first year of the raised clipons (the 2006, and the 1000s have lower clipons which are harsh on the wrist). Black is one of the most uncommon of all the colors/configurations on the SportClassic; and is a notable due to the press it received from being featured in a 2010 Disney movie (yes, that movie; yes this is the exact same type of bike down to configuration and color). This is the first of the retro-revival cafe racer motorcycles; due to its 1000DS desmodromic plant, it is more powerful than the Triumph Bonneville, Scrambler, Thurxton or the Moto Guzzi V7 racer. The bike is listed locally and can be taken to the local dealer (Munroe Motorsports) for a vehicle inspection. I encourage anyone interested in the bike to come by and inspect it personally as it is the cleanest all-original SC1000 I have come by. Contact me to request additional pictures, information, etc. 909 215 7893
