It is literally like new, with only 110 miles- not 110,000 miles, just 110. I bought this new and it's been kept in a garage. I am the original owner and unfortunately (for me) I have to sell this for medical reasons. I can no longer ride and have to sell this perfect condition cruiser. It was a gift to me and I hate to see her go. This VStar is a nice liquid Black color with eye popping, cherry red striping. A nice detail that I like is that the seats are stitched with a cherry color stitching. The rally tires match the seats and color details of the bike and are trimmed with narrow red stripes. If I did not have to sell it I wouldn't but obviously keeping a bike like this around without riding it is just too much to take. Someone is going to get a lifetime bike at an incredible price. Rides on the Blue Ridge Parkway will be a great way to break this in! This is a great bike for a beginner to learn on or experienced riders to roll down the interstate. It has a low seat height and easy to reach forward controls. The 1100cc motor has enough power to get up to speed and also handle passengers. The shaft drive is smooth. It has a brand new starter clutch, battery, rear tire and recent oil change. The front tire has at least half a riding worth of tread left. The BUB exhaust has a nice throaty rumble. I rode it from Sumter, SC to Tampa, FL this summer with no problem. It's been a great bike, but it is 15 years old...it has scratches in the paint, the windshield is hazy from small scratches, but not very noticeable when clean. The chrome is peeling off the engine heads. I'm selling it because i'm moving next month for the Army and need the money more than i need to ride. I have a traveler pack which mounts to the sissy-bar which comes with it.

This vehicle is a 2004 Yamaha Midnight Star \ Road Star 1700. The paint having a mirror finish and I don't believe the motor could be more sound. Mostly stock although the carburetor has been jetted to the Vance & Hines Longshots I installed. I never would have never believed the difference that it made unless I felt it for myself. More power increase than I thought it would be at take off, and top end. The sound is so strange it's unbelievable. This bike has 29000 miles on it. Most of it is highway back and forth to Carmel by the Sea or Bay Area. Both tires were changed in Sept. but rear tire looks like it might need changing soon. Was told because size and weight of bike, not because it was road rough. Has three sets of pipes that goes with it. There is a windshield, sissy bar, saddlebags. It has highway bars to kick your feet up and to protected your lags and engine in case of a mishap. Yamaha has also juggled reciprocating masses in the pushrod valve train and beefed up some of the structures that support it to let the revised engine rev a little higher and get into the rev limiter a bit more gently than the previous version. With longer cam duration, higher compression, shorter-skirt pistons, and dual plugs in addition to the additional 68cc (which pushes it above the 100-cubic-inch mark), the bike feels noticeably stronger off the line. Cylinder fins have been revised for better cooling too. The most pleasing difference is up top, where it runs out of revs more gently and pulls longer before you need to shift. In addition, Yamaha gave the 1700 a taller first-gear ratio then dropped the overall ratio slightly, which puts all the gears closer together. These changes make the first-to-second shift less of a jump and eliminated our tendency to bump into the rev limiter in first. Because the engine revs higher, the slightly higher engine speeds on the highway are not at all troublesome, even if you notice them. With horsepower and torque increases of 15 percent or so, you get crisper passes at highway speeds. The final drive belt is stronger yet narrower There is a new saddle, with a roomier and flatter rider portion, offering even more flexibility in riding position. The handlebar mounts slightly differently, but is not overly wide and bends so as to be comfortable on the highway and manageable during full-lock turns. The floorboards now float to isolate what vibration might arise. The extra quarter-inch of wheelbase created with a longer swingarm, doubtlessly didn't hurt. The front brake were upgraded to one-piece calipers (there are two) from Yamaha's big sportbike. They carry pads from the middleweight sporter. The result is more braking power at your fingertips with excellent control. Restyled low-profile LED taillight are the other substantial visual clues that you are looking at a 1700.

Too start here is what I upgrade on the bike in the two and half years ive had it . replaced the stock seat with a mustang seat with both passenger and rider backrests. the hand grips are Kuryakyn with a helmet lock , beach bar . chrome caliber covers. battery tender hook up installed. fuse black is also wired in so adding electrics is easy. a Garmin GPS AND MOUNT for the bike and car with all the wiring. I took it off for now but hooking it up isn't hard. Tire pressure monitoring system , cup holder. Corban hard bags. the bike did have a batwing faring but I sold it. that's all I think of. its a great bike , runs great. feel free to ask questions. the buyer is responsible for pick that way I meet the person who is buying my bike and to make sure they are still interested in after seeing it in real life. no harm in just looking. payment. check , I don't want anyone to pay for something before the see it.
