1972 PANNONIA P20 WIN: 2072061729ENGIN NO.: 72061729 THE JEWEL OF THE BLUE DANUBE It is so rare, it might just be the only one in the U.S.A. From the cradle of motorcycle manufacturing there came the famous two stroke design from DKW. It was so good and relatively easy to build, many European factories emulated this design and with their own twist they built their own motorcycle models. We already know this as a fact that even the Japanese two strokes were developed from this design. Needless to say that they perfected it, until regulations put an end to it. SHORT HISTORY OF THE MANUFACTURER Johann Strauss did not invent the Blue Danube, but he did romanticize it way beyond its tributaries. While millions of people in all European countries danced on his famous waltz, engineers were inspired by his celestial music. The West-Germans built the DKW-s, the East-Germans built the MZ-s. The Checkoslovakians built the JAWA-s and the CZ-s. The Hungarians built the Csepel-s and the PANNONIA-s. The Russians built the URAL-s (not a two-stroke, but a copy of the BMW) and the IZS-s. I, intentionally and perhaps ignorantly missed a few, but the above mentioned, I rode myself, or came to have known them by personal experiences. Once upon a time, there was a big factory in Budapest, Hungary. It was called Weiss Manfred, and they had a workforce of 30,000 people. Between WWI and WWII they built motorcycles, among many household items and other goods, even airplanes. The factory was located on Csepel Island, therefore it was renamed under the communist years as Csepel Metal Works (I started my apprenticeship there in 1957). The late 1940s, they produced 100 cc and 125 cc motorcycles (see pictures of my 1949 125 CSEPEL) , and in the 1950s they came out with the 250 cc, named CSEPEL. In the 1960s they focused on the 250 cc single cylinder two-stroke model named PANNONIA (a Roman province in Central-Europe, where Attila the Hun ruled and roamed the land). In 1975, the motorcycle division closed its doors, ceasing the manufacturing motorcycles all together, but the factory remained open for some time. SHORT (PERHAPS LONG) STORY OF THIS BIKE In 1963, I bought a 250 cc single cylinder Pannonia, and this bike remained in my possession until I left Hungary for the United States. By the end of 1968, the P20 (250 cc vertical twin two-stroke) hit the market, and the next early spring I had to have one. This bike was as good as the factory promised it. With its "Yamaha-look-alike" it quickly became the most desirable bike behind the "Iron-Curtain." After many years and kilometers in the saddle of the 14 LE single cylinder Pannonia, the 22 LE propelled this bike magically. I was in motorcycle heaven for a short time, until 1970, when I sold it. I immigrated to the United States that year, and often thought and dreamed about those two Pannonias. As the follow-up of a freakish dream, I have found a 1965 250 cc single cylinder WHITE motorcycle at a swap meet (at that time I did not know this that Jack White an American entrepreneur sold Pannonia motorcycles here in the U.S.A., under his own name: WHITE). My son and I, instantly recognized this bike from its distinctive features, even though, it was heavily modified and disguised. Since then, I bought three more singles. In 1979, in a feverish desire, I purchased this very 1972 PANNONIA P20 from a Hungarian restorer (unseen). Almost at the same time, I bought the 1949 125 cc CSEPEL, he was working on. These two bikes were shipped to me, and I quickly obtained titles and registered them here in California. Even though, I have been riding big, powerful and modern motorcycles, this little vertical twin put a grin on my face every time I rode it. And I rode it to all of the popular places where riders meet up, and some of my friends started to call me the "King of Whites and Pannonias." In 2000, this 1972 PANNONIA P20 won 2nd place at the Del-Mar Concourse d’Elegance Show in the Continental European Division. It was beyond my belief, and when my 1949 125 cc CSEPEL won 3RD place at the same show in a different division (time period), I almost exploded from excitement. RECENT REPAIRS 1. New battery 2. Seat was redone 3. New inner tubes and period correct Dunlop K-81 tires MODIFICATIONS 1. Replaced original air filters (ugly and insufficient) with K&N ? Or Emgo pods. 2. Replaced original points (not so-good and hard to come by) with Yamaha points. 3. Missing keyed lock on toolbox. Replaced it with turn-knob. Original factory or newly-made parts are abundantly available in Hungary, and I can help to obtain them. NOTE Complete restoration was done approximately at 19,000 miles. Please note that odometer is in kilometers NOT in miles. Approximate milage is 19,500 miles. Since the pictures taken, I’ve ridden the bike extensively. It runs very strong, just my original in 1969-1970. This bike should be placed in a museum or in a private collection, but could be ridden daily. This bike might have some minor imperfections, but it is almost perfect, considering the fit and finish of the original bike. I included some pictures of this and the other two bikes I have entered the show at Del Mar, California.

BET YOU DON'T HAVE ONE OF THESE!!! I have a very rare 1983 Yamaha Seca 650 Turbo with OEM hard saddlebags for sale. Bike is in excellent condition and I would not hesitate to ride it anywhere. It is 100% complete, new tires, steel braided brake lines, E.B.C. brake pads, Euro Gauge cluster that goes up to 150 miles per hour. (U.S. models only went up to 85). This is a real head turner and would make a nice addition to your collection. Cycle World, June 1981Hot on the heels of Honda's CX500 Turbo, the Yamaha 650 Seca Turbo, despite its futuristic looks, was something totally different. With air instead of water cooling, four instead of two cylinders, and, interestingly of all, pressurized carbs in place of fuel injection, the blown Seca took an entirely different approach to what a turbocharged motorcycle should be.Many expressed doubts as to the durability of an air-cooled engine under duress of a turbocharger; those reservations would prove unfounded (80,000+ mile Seca Turbos that have never had major engine work or even blown a turbocharger are quite common). The pressurized carbs worked very well ("Best carbureted bike I've ever ridden" -- Bob Miller, President, T.M.I.O.A.).'82 Seca Turbos suffered from weak performance when they were initially introduced. Tired of being embarrassed by Honda CX500 Turbos in head-to-head tests Yamaha rushed out a "Power-Up" kit (free of charge!) that consisted of an inline boost pressure sensor/restrictor that fooled the turbo into thinking boost was lower than it was, and a washer that you stuck at the end of your right-side turbo exhaust muffler to increase back pressure. Both measures were designed to increase boost pressure and keep it in the cylinders longer. Peak boost went from an anemic 7 psi to a respectable 12 psi. The bad news for '82 Seca Turbo owners ('83 models came with the modification) is that Yamaha ran out of the kits in 1985. The good news is that you don't need it. Simply disconnect the vacuum hose leading to the wastegate actuator, clamp it shut, close up the hole in the actuator and experience the thrill of 14 psi. The poppet valve in the surge tank now serves as your "wastegate" to keep the engine from exploding. This also solves the problem of turbocharger wastegates failing to close, a common cause of power loss in Yamaha Turbos (blame it on the placement of the unit under the engine where it collects all sorts of road debris). The Power-Up Kit, thicker forks and a larger 5-gallon gas tank in 1983 helped sales somewhat, but a price drop to $3100 in 1984 (an '82 could be had for $2800) helped more to clear the floors of unwanted Seca Turbos. Average Seca Turbos go for $2,500-3,500. Low mileage bikes bring about $3,500 to $4,500 today. Showroom/museum examples may fetch $5,000, but Seca Turbos in such a state are extremely rare. '83 models, with their 1mm thicker forks and 1 gallon larger gas tanks bring more due to rarity and production numbers.

For sale is my very rare 1955 KH Harley Davidson motorcycle. Abot 700 made that year. I first saw it when a good friend brought it home to Va. from a swap meet in Pennsylvannia in 1980. It had it's original red paint (Pepper Red?, with white stripe down each side of the gas tank - absolutely correct for 1955) and a broken kickstand spring. That's all we could find wrong with it. May have been a one owner bike. He rebuilt it entirely in the next year from frame up restoration and used only NOS HD parts as he had plenty of HD NOS parts for not only this k model,, but for many vintage Harleys. He also chromed several of the original pieces. I know, some of you purists out there are going to say he hurt the value, but they are still the original parts from it and are in excellent condition. Some of the external parts are the original chrome it came with in 1955, such as the tail light - yes, that's original almost 60 year old chrome - , and lower fork legs, trumpet horn, gas cap, etc. A lot of original polished parts remain with their original polish and stainless steel plating. Also has it's ORIGINAL exhaust pipes and muffler. Unchromed like they were from factory. When we looked it over together in 1980, the only non original part we could find was one of the two bolts under the solo seat was not original. That's the way it was it still is as far as hardware and other original parts on this bike with the exception of the NOS HD parts used in the rebuild. He also painted the tank and fenders a blue color that I did not like at all so I painted them black. I did a substandard job for what this bike deserves, but still better than the blue to me. I just don't like blue. The engine was completely rebuilt including bottom end, transmission, and clutch - again, all NOS HD parts used. As was the whole bike rebuilt too. The cases were polished when apart and still shine today over 30 years later. The bike was sold to another friend of his when he unexpectedly passed away in 1985 along with all his parts, other HDs, etc. There it sat until I bought it about 10 years ago. I put acid in a brand new HD battery given to me then when I bought the bike and it fired right up. It ran and will still run like a new K Model as it only has less than 600 miles on it after the early 80s rebuild. Speedometer and everything else still works on this bike. I have not started it in 6 years, but have kicked it over occasionally to keep everything nice. I connected a battery charger to it today and the headlight, tail light, and brake light all came on no problem. There is no doubt in my mind that if the battery is fully charged and the float bowl taken off and the float pushed up to free it, it will start within 3 kicks. I may even get to that before this 7 day BIN / best offer ends, don't know. NO WELDS, CUTS, NO BS!!!. I'm truthfully describing this BIKE!!! A lot of things I missed, I'm sure. Like that fact I have the original keys (2 different cuts used- one for the ignition, one for the lights) and a spare set of keys I got with the bike too. Every time it sat for over a year while I've owned it, to start it, I would have to take the float bowl off the carb and push up on the float to unstick the needle so it can get gas through it, common for Linkerts. You also do not have to remove the carb to do this, just unscrew the float bowl. Also, I did not clean or wash this bike before I took pictures today as I do not want any water sitting in cavities. Please keep that in mind when looking at pics. Also, being completely honest, there are small areas of surface rust starting on places like the wheel spokes. I cannot sit by and watch these things happen and do not have the time or space to upkeep this bike anymore. It deserves a good home and not a fate my descendants will give it. So here it is. Ask questions, call me - 1-540-247-8460 - make sure you put the "1"in front of the 540 area code - don't know why, but you may not get my cell phone if you don't, you may get someone named Bill who won't know what you are talking about. Please only call between 9 am and 6 pm EST. I believe I have this bike priced fairly - if not underpriced - for what it is according to it's rarity. They made over 125,000 Panheads from 1948 to 1965, only about 6000 K Models from 1952 to 1956 and the first two years of 1952 and 1953 they were 750 CCs, this one is 901 CCs. But there is a best offer option too and I will consider offers, but please don't insult me. All sales final. A $500.00 non refundable deposit due within 24 hours of sale through Paypal. The remaining balance has to be in the form of cash or a cashier's check ONLY. And the bike will NOT leave my garage until the check has cleared. The bike is located in Beverly Hills FLORIDA 34465 where I live now and the buyer is responsible for shipping costs, but I will assist in any way I can. Please pay balance within 5 days of sale and pick up motorcycle within 7 to 14 days of cleared payment for motorcycle. Again, I will NOT accept Paypal OTHER than the $500 deposit. They simply take too much out of the sale (3 + percent). Thank you . Bob. Some additional info: 1955 Harley Davidson KHLocated in Beverly Hills, Florida 34465Clear Title on Hand. Circuit breaker cable all correct and working to advance / retard circuit breaker (distributor as some call it) Has it's original 1955 HD leather K Model solo seat that HAS NOT been recovered. Some cracking, however. It is almost 60 years old. Original to bike dash with original key switches, original speedometer that is more than likely original miles of 24802 and speedometer still works. (Really, this bike is so original as far as original parts that were on it when new, I can't overstate that enough) Original tool box / battery covers with ORIGINAL Mickey Mouse finger nuts. The gas tank is ORIGINAL to the bike as are the tank emblems. PLEASE NOTE: The left side emblem is cracked, but still held on securely with the original small phillips screws. I do believe I still have a brand new in package set of HD emblems from HD in 1990s for 1955 HDs. If I locate them I will include them, no charge. No firm promise, but I will try and locate them and will update listing if I find them. I preferred the originals even though one was cracked, that's why I never changed them. All nuts, bolts and fastener hardware are original to the bike or NOS HD except for the one aforementioned under seat bolt as far as I can tell and know. And I have owned over 15 Panheads, early sportsters, and k models in the last 40 plus years, I'm 62 and have always owned at least one since I was 19. Correct, steel, oil and fuel lines. Thanks again and good luck. Bob.

One tell-tale sign that these bikes can be traced back to their history of law enforcement service; the ground down siren mount is still identifiable (which can be seen in the picture above). All motorcycle operational upgrades remain with the bike. In fact, the original police saddle bags for this particular bike are available. The '70's Loop Frame Police Editions are one of the most sought after classic Moto Guzzi motorcycles. The Ambassador has roughly 2,600 miles on the rebuild. The odometer indicates 20,454 total miles (=120,454). The bike runs excellent and can be an everyday ride. This black beauty has been meticulously maintained and cared for; and ridden judiciously. Gary rode this bike at the 1999 MGNOC National Rally held in Sipapu, New Mexico where the 28 year old Ambassador won the Best of Show over hundreds of other Moto Guzzi models from around the country. Clear title in hand. 2007 Triumph Speed Triple 1050cc White 6 speed gearbox Scorpion exhaust Carbon fiber engine covers Dirtbike style bars 35,000 on frame 14,000 on engine Clean title Current registration Gel seat Fender eliminator with Mad Doctors LED brake and rear turn signals VIN report downloaded 6/26 and available upon request (it's free of any blemishes) The first thing you probably noticed is the engine is silver: the previous owner replaced the engine with an 07 Triumph Sprint unit with 8k miles. The swap was not the result of a crash - just a sprag clutch failure as per previous owner. Cosmetics: I dropped the bike the first week I owned it - I still kick myself for that. The engine was off, and my speed was zero. I was on a decline and the bike rolled forward off the kickstand as I was dismounting. Only damage was: 1) a scuff on the left engine cover, 2) a scratch on the gas tank from the handlebars, 3) bent handlebars. I replaced the handlebars and installed Leo Vince carbon fiber engine covers to hide my shame. Overall though, it's in very good shape and people compliment the bike all the time. Maintenance: Does not use oil. I have changed the oil and filter every 3 months since I purchased the bike last spring. Castrol synthetic only. Brake pads, brake fluid, radiator coolant, and air filter were serviced last fall (can't remember the exact date). Chain and sprockets in good shape, although I have not changed them myself so I don't know their age. There is one small oil leak on the lower left side. I though it was from the water pump o-ring, so I replaced the o-ring, but still seeing a slow leak. I ride every day to work and see a new drop on the ground every 3 weeks. Pirelli Diablo SuperSport tires installed Dec 2015 and have 80% tread remaining. Misc: Bike is very nimble. All gauges work fine. Bike is a blast. I don't recommend it for beginners, but I'm also not one to tell you how to live your life. I'll include a triumph tank bag. Now for the unfortunately blunt logistics: Cash or cashiers check. We'll meet at a police station parking lot. You may test ride if I'm holding collateral. No paypal or shipping arrangements.
