Custom Built Motorcycles : Chopper "The Eagle" Custom Bike by PMC Signed by Steve Miller For Sale or Trade

Okay. Just like you, I know the chopper craze is over. However, if you think about it, what that will do will be to eliminate all the half-done amateur bikes, the wannabes, the homebuilts, the tacky overdone "theme bikes," and all the other custom bikes of low or dubious quality. What will survive will be the beautiful sculptural pieces of rolling art like the motorcycle I have listed here. This particular bike has a story. It was bought from the manufacturer, Precious Metals Customs in Woodstock, GA, by Lynn Jones of Lynnco Custom Cycles in Cleveland, TN, with the intent of donating it as a fund-raiser for the Mary Ellen Locher Foundation of Chattanooga. The exquisite paint and pinstriping were done by Chris Cruz Artistry of DeLand, FL. The motor is a completely polished 100 ci Ultima, transmission is a polished Baker 6-speed, and forks are by American Suspension. It has a 3-inch belt primary drive, all chrome. The oil tank is hidden under the transmission and the rear brake is a drilled disc located on the transmission countershaft. It has a 300-series rear tire and the three-spoke wheels are beautifully chromed. Every weld on the frame is perfectly smoothed giving the appearance that is was molded out of one continuous piece of tubing. All lines and wiring are routed internally through the frame or fork tubes giving is an extremely clean appearance. There are no handlebar controls and no speedometer or tachometer. Since there is no speedometer, I do not know the mileage, but it is obviously very low. I listed 1000 miles in this ad as I was forced to enter a number by eBay. The motorcycle was given away as the grand prize of a fundraising raffle for the Foundation at Chattanooga's Riverbend Festival in 2007. The Steve Miller Band was the headline act that year, so Steve Miller signed the tank in gold. Small paint drops were added to symbolize the fireworks at the festival and the signature was clear-coated along with the rest of the paint. The bike was named The Eagle by Lynnco after the famous Steve Miller Band song and the eagle heads Cruz painted on the sides of the tank. I cannot stress enough the quality of the this bike. The paint is absolutely gorgeous. The chrome is flawless. It is truly a piece of rolling sculpture that looks as though it belongs in a museum. It is completely rideable and ready to go right now. It has been ridden in the past, so it is not absolutely perfect, but it is very nearly so. I really need to sell it and I will happily consider any and all cash offers or partial or even trades. I did not win this bike. I am the third owner and got it in a trade myself. Any trade offer you present will be considered and I will respond to it. There were only twenty-four Rennsports produced by the factory and were world champions in sidecar racing. Here are More Specs and Details of The Woody Bike The frame is a Soft Tail Kraft Tech frame that has been molded, shaped, and painted to give it the realistic bamboo look that you see. The forks and trees are made by American Air Suspension. The rear shocks feature Hi-Lo air suspension with an on board air compressor, allowing the height to be adjustable and lowered completely to the ground when parked if desired. As a safety feature, if the compressor were to malfunction, the shocks rise completely to keep the bike from being disabled.The award winning engine is a 96 cubic inch Ultima Racing engine with polished aluminum. This engine is not only beautiful but is very fast and very reliable. It has a top of the line Baker 6 speed transmission, dual Edelbrock carburetors with custom painted intake scoops to match the frame precisely, and an Edelbrock nitrous system with a hand carved nitrous bottle made from real wood and carved like a tiki torch. More attention to details include a Spyke 1.8 high torque starter, a high performance BDL belt drive, and Wild One beach cruiser handle bars to keep it with the old school “woody” type look. The PM hand controls and all the switches with Accutronix forward controls and running boards have been shaped like miniature surfboards, which is another must see to appreciate. The Dakota digital gauge is an all in one gauge showing fuel, rpm’s, mph, etc. The Accutronix grips keep the “woody” theme going by matching the frame with the bamboo look. If that wasn’t enough, it also comes equipped with a Grumpy’s custom exhaust system, a seat by Bitchin’Rich made out of bull hide to keep the mahogany look, and an Adjure spot and head light. The rims are DNA 18 inch bamboo twisted 80 spoke rims, and 18 inch Avon tires. Did we mention the 80 spokes are bamboo twisted? Unbelievable! This is the piece that is 4" long that can be swapped out for sissy bar ready struts. These are extremely minor, but I want to disclose as much as possible. The Vance & Hines Pipes have some minor surface scratches. There is also a slight gap from the upper & lower heat shields on the upper pipe. The chrome on the bike is in great shape & has clearly been polished over the course of the bikes life. There are multiple chrome bolts throughout the bike that have gotten some light water on them & have some minor surface rust. Most of them should clean up with some elbow grease. The fork seals & fluid were replaced sometime last year. The chrome on the front forks have some scuffing from the suspension going up & down. This is also shown in the included video link. Both tires have less than 250 miles on them & have roughly 90% tread remaining. Both brake pads were replaced recently. I was told by the original owner that the motor was gone through for preventative maintenance by S&S when the upgraded cams were installed. He also had his local Big Dog Shop where he originally purchased the Wolf from go through the transmission for preventative maintenance. This was all done about two years ago at the cost of a couple grand. I am most likely over describing the bike, but want to make sure I disclose as much as possible. The bike comes with Two Original Big Dog keys. The bike runs perfect and is an absolute blast to ride! You will not be disappointed!
