See mountainchoppers.net or mountainchoppers.blogspot.com .Themed, "BLACK NASTY", The build was inspired by hunting the AFRICAN CAPE BUFFALO, which is one of the most dangerous big game animals on earth ! Hence the title, "BLACK NASTY" ! Features include, original one off hand crafted bronzes. The figurines on the oil tank have RUBIES FOR EYES ! The bronze skull on the gas tank is also original hand crafted bronze ! Drive train is new, off the shelf H-D with only 5 test miles. New, black evo mtr. and 5 sp. transmission. Custom "Atlas" rigid frame designed to my specs. Grey powder coated with black flecs. PM wheels, 21" front and 18" rear. Tires are Avon Venoms. Plating is a mixture of "Black" chrome and Show chrome. "Fat", 6" over inverted glide front end. DNA rear disk brake. Simi-flat black paint from Germany, never needs waxing. Custom seat done in African Cape Buffalo hide that I bagged in Africa (pics available) in 1996. S&S Super E carb with PM air cleaner. ONLY THE BEST PARTS WERE USED ON THIS BUILD ! I built this bike to display around the country at the Safari Club International and Dallas Safari Club conventions by invite. These are the largest hunting conventions in the world ! I bought this bike new off from the showroom floor in Bradenton Florida. This bike has been a labor of love taking me several years to find and put all the pieces together, with a lot of help from a few good friends. This isn't your fathers V-max. It has over forty two aftermarket parts and upgrades. There are well over $4500.00 invested in aftermarket accessories. The bike has over 45,000 miles and the maintenance has been meticulous. The majority on mileage is interstate traveling back and forth to work for the first three years. Due to time restraints and the purchase of an 09 Gen 2 V-Max this baby has not seen a lot of riding time since. I have started it regularly and ridden it for short periods of time so she doesn't feel neglected! She has a new filter, plugs, and oil. The paint is an electric blue with pearl in the clear coat which is why there are different hues in different light. The V-Boost has been pulled and it is running a full stage 7 jet kit with four K&N filters. This modification seriously made this an entirely new bike as far as the riding by the seat feeling. The exhaust is a unique HMF four into two upswept version with carbon fiber cans. The bike has been tuned and a member of the 120 plus horse power club on the Dyno owned by Tim Nash, the" V-Max Guru". If you are looking for a bike that turns heads, always gets instant recognition, is always a topic of conversation...and you don't have the time or patience to do all of this yourself here you go. The motor is solid and runs hard and strong from start to finish...no flat spots. She purrs on idle like a sleeping lion waiting to be woken. I'm selling my beautiful 1999 Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad VN1500 Motorcycle. I purchased this bike from the original owner seven years ago who I could tell it was his baby and has been mine ever since. It has only had Amsoil since day one. Do your research on engines that only run on Amsoil and then are dismantled later. The customizations done are enormous and all professional. $4000 estimated in chrome alone including highway bars/foot pegs, light bars/front chrome turn signals, chrome sissy bar/luggage rack, chrome saddle bag protectors, chrome fender guards, chrome master cylinder cover, chrome engine covers, chrome radiator shroud, chrome front brake caliper/disk covers, chrome detailed windshield/deflectors, etc... Too much to list... You would have to reference detailed photos.... The stock side fork key/ignition has been converted over to a Thunder brand top gas tank switch similar to what you would find on Harleys. The bike features a BEAUTIFUL UNIQUE Custom two tone Forest Green/Jade Green paint job complete with night green accent lighting brings out the chrome. The front brake chrome disk covers are accented by purple lights at night. I get compliments everywhere I go with this machine. Mechanically, valve work was done early on by professionals, catalytic converters were removed, and what appears to be about 6" Vance & Hines pipes, a cold air induction chrome Pro series hypercharger was installed which boosts horsepower considerably from stock. The bike also features throttle cruise control, a leather tank bra with a pocket, and a leather sissy bar bag. New sealed battery installed first week of June 2015. When this bike starts up it sounds like a high horsepower boat, runs like a sewing machine, purrs like a kitten, roars like a lion, and shows like a pageant queen. I'm Including a Kawasaki Service Manual for the bike, the stock ignition, stock chrome air cleaner, three outdoor covers, and various other parts. I hate to see her go but medical/financial reasons dictate sale although I will not entertain low-ball offers. No joy rides. I can meet you in a large parking lot for inspection. The bike has never been dumped and with all this chrome I want to keep it that way. This bike is loaded, plated, insured, and ready to go. I bought this bike from a FL man who was 72 years old and he had only put 3 hours and 27 miles on it! It was just too much for him so he let it sit for 2 years then couldn't start it. He put a lot of options on it but offroad riding wasn't for him. I wanted a lighter bike than my 2010 Husaberg FE 450 but I still love that bike and I just don't ride the Husky like I thought so one dirt bike is enough! I have completely gone through this bike and replaced the fuel pump, filter, and regulator because it had sat for so long (use same parts as KTM/Husaberg so I've done this drill before). All power up mods and settings have been done by Atlanta BMW Husqvarna who was the original dealer and installed all the optional parts. I'm a former BMW tech and have changed the oil every 5 hours, checked the valves at 20 hours, and basically set up this bike. It has a lot of power for a 250 and is very quick, plus the EFI is a nice touch. The only issue is that it's a bit cold blooded when first started but that's about it. It has some scratches on the underside of the right footpeg where I hit a rock ledge and some marks on the tank shrouds from my tie downs. The price is at book value without the added $2000 worth of options. 325 miles (this may change slightly since the bike is for sale locally or I may ride it) 21.55 hours Trail Tech Vapor GPS with temp speed etc sensors more functions than I know what to do with Full Akropovic titanium exhaust with header, mid-pipe, and spark screen. It's quiet to meet DS requirements but flows freely 12 port EFI injector, new filter, fuel pump, fuel regulator. New Lion battery New Pirelli tires scorpion Xtra X mid soft. Front is DOT rated. Probably 10 hours on them Trail tech head light and mask EFI tuning &TPS setup Single track sprocket setup with 12T front (I have 13T) and 50 rear but I can pull 70+ mph Husaberg bars to replace stock bars with full hand guards Turn signals lights Touratech rack etc for dual sport Scotts steering bracket This 2012 model had 1" lower setting on suspension done by Husqvarna using spacers in the shock and the forks. They can be removed. I'm 5'8" and can touch the ground on the balls of my feet. Shipping can be done using your carrier that you set up. Alternatively, I will be heading up to WI in mid-June and can haul from Savannah if you help with expenses. I have the title in hand.
