This is a great mid-size bike (600 cc V-twin) with a super-low seating position and forward controls/footpegs. My wife is 5'5" tall, and she rode this bike comfortably. It's a bit small for me as I'm 5'10", but I can attest that it's a blast to ride. It's nimble around town, but can still be ridden on the interstate. The bike is in very good condition and has been garage-kept. We're selling only because this was my wife's bike and she has moved up to an 1100 cc cruiser. The bike has lots of chrome and a deep, throaty rumble from the pipes. Be sure to check out the YouTube video ( s://youtu.be/Wfh8zeyyttA) for the exhaust sounds. The bike comes with a windshield, saddlebags, and highway bars (the windshield and highway bars are not in these photos, but I will email separate photos on request). Simplex was founded by Paul Treen (father of United States Congressman and Louisiana Governor David Conner Treen) in New Orleans, Louisiana in the late 1920s with an initial investment of $25. Treen had been a dealer in Harley-Davidson motorcycles and had pitched them the idea of making a lightweight motorcycle for young riders. When Harley-Davidson rejected the idea, Treen decided to enter the market himself and designed his Servi-Cycle. The Simplex Servi-Cycle was introduced in 1935. Although Simplex Manufacturing Corporation produced motorcycles for over 20 years, the last Simplex Automatics looked almost the same as the company's original 1935 Simplex Servi-Cycle motorcycle. Paul Treen would often visit the factory's tool shop and work with the engineers on new ideas himself, result in continuous improvements to Simplex products instead of annual new model introductions.
