Of course, if the car is a rare model and spectacular it will command a higher price as I mentioned. They each have their own character and there worth what people are willing to pay. Prior to this business I was just a blue collar guy who was working full time selling new and used Mercedes Benz. This is an industry with no real guidelines and everyone's opinion is completely different. The average consumer doesn’t realize classic vehicles weren’t restored at the factory and are being restored by people in their garages. Everyone’s level of restoration experience is different and it shows in the restoration. An example would be a classic vehicle that's being advertised as an original model with matching numbers could be a phony with a reproduction trim tag and re stamped numbers on the engine block, etc. Another example would be a classic vehicle is being advertised as a full restoration when indeed only a few things have been restored. There are many classic vehicles listed for sale that have cosmetic and mechanical issues with such items as the body, paint, glass, lights, body hinges, gauges, window components, steering components, upholstery, engine leaks and tuning, radiators, transmission, rear end, brake components and suspension components. The consumers are spending thousands of dollars repairing the classic vehicles they've purchased after the sale. A bad purchase could turn into the buyer’s worst nightmare and be extremely costly! Twins and singles are the engine configurations I work on. With this custom lowered seat, almost anyone can safely touch the ground with their feet flat on the ground! This custom cafe racer is the continuation of someone else's project. The starter motor was pulled and plugged, the forks were rebuilt and reconfigured, new rear shocks were installed, the front fender/ultra strong fork brace was modified, the swing arm was paint stripped and clear coated, tubes and tires were mounted, clip-ons were installed, engine cases were polished, 2 into 1 header system was created from stock CB350 headers, front drum, front brake plate, front sprocket cover, and rear brake plate had been drilled for cooling, stainless steel Allen head screw conversion installed, new headlight ears mounted, tapered steering stem bearing upgrade installed, and a few other items before I laid hands on it. I added the rear set configuration for both shifting and rear brake, wired the electrical system with modern solid state rectifier, added the cafe seat, added the invisible battery, installed the integrated turn signals with the mirrors and tail light, installed the new halogen headlamp, throttle cable, front brake cable, custom length clutch cable, POR-15 lined fuel tank, VHT epoxy painted tank in matte finish, balanced the wheels, rebuilt the carburetors, tuned up the engine, replaced the drive chain, added the polished aluminum velocity stacks, rebuilt and polished the horn, new kicker rubber, new brake and shifter arms with rear sets, new rear tank rubber mount, Notice the trending void behind the engine by having removed the battery, battery box, side covers, air filters, etc... All color has been removed from the bike leaving only black and metal. Turn signals LEDs are amber, brake and tail lights are red, but only when activated through the smoke lenses. The CL350 Honda was first created in 1968 and every Scrambler came with the traditional Darth Vader tank through the last one produced in 1973. Star Wars was not released until 1977. For sale is a VERY CLEAN 1978 Honda CB 750K. This CB is in great running shape, and needs nothing but a driver to get it on the road. Fires right up every time, has a strong idle, stops on a dime, tires are in great condition, and exhaust sounds good. This bike was owned by a mechanic for the past 15 years who took incredibly good care of it and put less than 3K miles on it during that time. It has always been garage kept and had regular tunes ups/fluid changes. The chrome really POPS on this bike, and it always turns heads. The fairings are factory, and in excellent condition, only needing the decal and emblem. The tank has some peeling on the clear coat (pictured), but has no scratches or rust (inside or out). All lighting, gauges and electricals work perfectly. Seat is also in good condition, no rips or tears. STILL HAS ORIGINAL TOOL SET AND OWNERS MANUAL! Clean Kansas title in hand. LOWERED $ - Priced to sellREADY FOR THE ROAD!! *** Low mileage 2006 Honda Shadow Spirit*** VT750DC, Spirit 750 You're looking at a 2006 Honda Shadow Spirit 750cc. This is not a stock bike. Many upgrades and much more! I'm moving soon and have to part ways with all of my toys. This is the best bang for the buck you will find in a drop dead reliable middleweight cruiser. The performance and accessories give this bike a custom look at an affordable price. Adaptability In some ways this bike is a Chameleon. Both the seatback/luggage rack and windshields are quick release. You can go from a stripped look with all removed to a 2up windshield and backrest in 1 minute. Do a web search for 'Paladin back rest' and 'National Switchblade windshield' for more information. Ride-ability If you're not familiar with the differences in models for Honda Shadow Spirits, there are shaft drive and chain drive. While you may think that chain drive is antiquated, you'd be wrong. Chain drive allows you to customize the gear ratio which in the case of this bike makes a dramatic difference in ride feel, RPMs at speed across the gear range. This is a 5 speed bike with lower ratios at stock. Changing the rear sprocket has made a world of difference at cruising speed. I went from a 41 to 37tooth steel rear sprocket. Prior to the change, it was 'revvy' at 25-35 mph local streets in 2nd and a bit even in 3rd, now the smooth low grumble of a proper V-Twin. At highway speeds, the whine of those revs is gone all the way up to 85mph which is probably as fast as you'd want to go on a middleweight cruiser. Safety/Sound Speaking of whine, many metric cruisers have a whiney exhaust note. The Vance & Hines Cruzer pipes improve the look as well as have a balance between loudness at open throttle to let drivers know you're there, but subdued low grumble at cruise. I left the baffles in and like this balance. Others have removed the baffles, which is up to you, but too obnoxious for me. Some Harley riders I've ridden with have said it sounded close to a Harley and larger than a 750cc. Performance Couple this with the Thunder Manufacturing Stage 3 Jet kit, this ride has extra horsepower to go. From Thunder Mfg., "We spent countless hours on the Dyno to ensure you the best jet kits possible. Thunder Mfg. jet kits are stage 3 kits designed to work with our air kits. " I have the matching tuned air kit so you're good to go! While I haven't put it on a dyno, there was a BIG difference in acceleration and power with little difference in fuel economy. That power is there when you need it, just rip the throttle. Reliability This machine has not had one problem. Period. Hondas are known to be bulletproof. If you'd rather be on the road than in the shop and have money in your wallet and not your mechanics or in the bank versus more expensive cruisers, you've found the best middleweight on ebay in NY Metro.
