Givi shield Moto-centric soft bags 12 volt acc. plug Russell Custom Seat New Avon Road Runner Tires  This 2012 ZF9 DS is in Excellent condition, has an honest range of approx. 80 miles on a charge  (Zero claims 112 miles per charge, but that has not been my experience )...AND  C-O-S-T-S ABOUT 1 CENT PER MILE FOR FUEL…..The original motor was replaced under warranty by BMW Motorcycles of Charlotte in December of 2016…..It now has their latest Hybrid engine which is approx. 20% more powerful than the original……The original engine was not communicating with the power pack software…..It was an intermittent issue that caused the bike to stutter while riding which became very irritating…..It took a while for them to figure out, mostly because they were a new dealer and the issue being intermittent, they had no experience with it…..Zero, to their credit, replaced the motor with the brand new hybrid version…..It now runs perfect and has a full year factory warranty on the new engine, which is valid until December of 2017…. At the same time the BMW dealership ran a full test on the Battery/Power Pack which checked out to 100%, or "just like new" (Their words)….. This ZF9 DS listed new for $13,995….the add-on’s came to about $1,000….. The used 2012 book retail value is around $6,000 not including the extras, and the fact that it has a brand new updated hybrid engine with a full year warranty….. The Dealer trade in value is $4,250…… I am asking $3,950 for mine in excellent condition……I believe, if you take a look around on a national level, you will NOT find a better deal on a used Zero DS..... The Story: I turn 71 this year and my reflexes are beginning to slow down…..at the same time the sea of traffic around Charlotte,NC  seems to be going faster and faster…..So after 50+ years of motorcycling I have made the prudent decision to hang it up……Both of my motorcycles are going up for sale….. About Me | See my other items | Email A Friend Description of [FOR SALE 1964 BMW R69S "THE RED GENT "] We are offering for sale this lovely, low miles, 1964 BMW R69S w Meier Large Sport Tank. It's a beauty!!!This is all numbers matching machine including the frame, frame badge and the motor. Miles appear to be original to the bike. This bike is pretty original with accessories that every BMW enthusiast will appreciate like engine crash bars, Denfeld solo seat complemented with the Pagusa in the back (stock factory setup). Bike comes with 2 ignition keys, original owners manual and Shop Manual. I can help to arrange the shipping of the bike to lower 48 states on buyers expense $350-$650 depending on the destination location. I use Uship.Recent service included following:* Change of all top end seals and gaskets, (big job),* New drive shaft boot, new screws and lock washers,* Everything torqued to specs, * Valves adjusted, * Fluids all changed, * New Air Filter Installed* New Exhaust Headers from Vech installed including the cross pipe,* New Solo Seats Installed, * New Switch Harness installed, * NOS tires installed, * Timing set, Bike runs and rides excellent and needs nothing. I rode this bike and shifted all 4 gears. It was a pleasure. This extraordinary machine usually starts in three kicks or less if you follow the procedure correctly. Electrical components all work as intended including the horn. Front and rear brakes are fully functional as well. Clean title in hand. "The BMW R 69 S VIN 658506 was manufactured on February 10th, 1964 and delivered on February 14th, 1964 to the BMW importer Butler & Smith in New York City. The bike was equipped with a bench seat." The BMW R69S, produced from 1960 to 1969, was BMW’s sport bike of its day. With 42 horsepower, it was by far the most powerful bike BMW made at the time. You had to pay to play ($1,564 in 1966), but that extra money bought you one of the most prestigious motorcycles available in the day. This is one of my favorite motorcycles of the 1960’s. But I’ll leave the explanation of why that is to Cycle World, who put it best in a 1962 review: "Whatever the BMW’s merits in a contest of speed, it is still the smoothest, best finished, quietest and cleanest motorcycle it has ever been our pleasure to ride. To be honest, we think that anyone who would worry much over its performance-potential is a bit of a booby. The R69S is fast enough to handle any encounter, and it has attributes that are, in touring, infinitely more valuable than mere speed. All things considered, if we were planning a two-wheel style vacation/tour, the BMW would have to be our choice of mount." Kawasaki claims that the new Voyager was inspired by 1960s sports cars, but I suspect it would struggle to say exactly which cars inspired any particular aspects. That's because the bike is clearly inspired by – and pitched directly against – Harley-Davidson's Electra Glide Ultra.Many would be hard pushed to tell them apart, suggesting that Kawasaki has at least got the styling right. For all its kitsch appearance, the Voyager is a convincing rival visually.Where many bikes fail in taking on Harley, however, is in matching other qualities of the troubled Milwaukee marque. To be convincing, the Voyager must be an effective tourer and have a good stab at matching the less easily defined qualities that have persuaded more than 50 per cent of big-bike buyers in the States to buy Harley-Davidsons.Some of the detailing will be given nods of approval, such as the white-on-black, simple serif script on the clocks, the chunky chrome ignition switch and of course the overall look of the big V-twin engine, which looks air-cooled even though there's liquid and a tucked-away radiator.But when it comes to feel, the Voyager isn't quite there. The top box, for example, is made of flimsy plastic with cheap catches that were already rusting on my test bike, while the lock wouldn't defeat a nine-year-old. The panniers are of similar quality and out of place on a near-£14,000 motorcycleThe gearchange is too far in the other direction, with a very heavy feel. The clutch's biting point is vague, making tight manoeuvres harder work than they need be, while the engine lacks the rawness of a Harley. That's a difficult criticism to make (many riders would find the smoother Kawasaki preferable) but for me the essence of Harley is the balance between crudeness and sophistication.Like a Harley, the Voyager's top gear is overdrive-tall, poviding a relaxed feel at motorway speeds. But the height of the unadjustable screen cuts right across the field of vision for taller riders such as myself. Even if you are able to look through it, there's no way of clearing rain drops from it – with a layer of winter road sludge, forward visibility is going to be a real issue.If you can see over the top, there's a relentless vibrating turbulence at anything over 80mph, and since the riding position could well induce backache, longer distances can become more tiring than they should. The seat pushed me too far forward, while the forward footboards didn't allow me to take any weight through my legs.There's plenty of Harley-type equipment, including a radio with ambient sound compensation which is surprisingly clear even at high speeds, although it lacks RDS station recognition which is almost universal these days. There are no rear speakers though, the sound is a lot less clear for the pillion. The passenger's legs rub on the bike's paintwork, too, although it's a comfortable place to be. I'm not keen on the radio buttons elbowing the horn push out of its usual place, while the equally busy right switch cluster includes cruise control, which is useful if sometimes jerky when it engages.As with a Harley, there's a lot of heat coming off the engine. This will be welcome in winter but too much, I suspect, on hot summer days.The bike handles well; neutral right down to walking pace and very stable at high speeds – not like a Harley, for once, and all the better for that. However the underdamped suspension can bounce you around on rougher roads, while the 4.4-gallon tank means that you'll need to worry about refuelling after only 150 miles, despite the Harley-beating 40mpg the bike returns.What you get on the Kawasaki is a consistency of quality that Harley still struggles with. The finish and detailing are to a high standard generally (luggage aside) and you know you won't start seeing major components corrode as soon as you roll it out of the showroom. It is a very nice and all serviced up bike. I have notes of the service work that have been performed by the previous owner in 03/1993 and only 500 miles ago. See the last pic for extensive maintenance record. "The BMW R 60/2 VIN 1812208 was manufactured on December 15th, 1966 and delivered on December 16th, 1966 to the BMW importer Butler & Smith in New York City. The bike was equipped with a bench seat." Bike was sold originally in 1967 hence it was titled as 1967 and that was a common practice back in the days. Matching frame, engine, tag and title numbers. It is a very honest bike, one of the nicest riding and looking pre-1970 BMW bikes I have had in my collection. It is all original bike w/o any mods. This bike has been stored in various conditions in its life and it shows. It is quite clean machine, not perfect but a great every day runner. The motor has had a recent top end disassembled, inspected, one helicoil professionally installed at the machine shop for the right side spark plug. New rings were installed, new top end gaskets and seals, torqued back to factory specs. Valves and timing was set, carbs re-adjusted. Clutch and brakes work well, gearbox goes through all 4 gears as it should. Lights, also all work as intended. I disassembled the horn, cleaned but did not get it to work, I will try again but no promises. Bike may need new rear tire as I have noticed some weather cracking, front tire is like new. Starts easily as the cold start video shows, runs and rides excellent! "The Earles Forks and opposing cylinder engine always get a lot of attention." This bike is a head turner no matter where you go as well as a show stopper! Bike has a ton of chrome as well as a custom pearl/metallic paint job. This bike after completion was featured in the Entertainment RIDE magazine in the March/April 2005 edition. I have all the paper work on this bike as well as the magazine it was featured in. Specs on this bike: 2004 soft tail chopperRevTech 110 cubic inch motor which has been dynoed out to be 120 horsepower and 115 foot pounds of torqueBacked by a 5 speed transmissionIt has Rc components 8 1/2 x 18" front with a 2.75 x 21 inch rear with a 240 inch tireSuspension consists of 6 degree trees with inverted 63 mm, 10 inch extension forks.Rear suspension consists of two air shock to give it that smooth ride LA chopper headersbrakes are RC components with rotors that match the wheelsThe frame is stretched 5 inches out and 6 up, which was built by hot shoe customs.The paint was done by Dietelmeier motorgraphic and the powder coating was done by Hotshoe customs.Rear brake light and turn signals are flush mounted and integrated into one unit mounted on the unique rear floating fender.Rear seat is a fully functional 2 person seat. I have ridden with a passenger numerous times on long distance ride and its perfect -NOTE, this bike is ridden, it has a few paint ships along the lower front spikes as well as a few other spots. All of these will be shown in the pictures belowThis bike has a clean Title in the State Of New York and is titled as a custom chopper with the New York State DMV.This bike does have all the proper safety requirements to pass New York State Inspection, Headlight, high and low bean, turn signals front and rear as well as a working horn.
