1915 Indian Other , !915 Indian Big Twin 1000cc with 3 Speed Transmission. A beautiful older restoration which includes the very rare accessory options of electric headlight, taillight, and horn. Bike is in running condition and has all the correct original parts which include Schleber carb, stout clutch, dual controls, a magneto-generator sparked headlamp and taillight, and a gear driven tank-mounted Corbin speedometer. The 1915 Big Twin Indian marked the last Indian motorcycle to carry the original Hedstrom F-Head engine and the cradle-spring rear frame and many consider this model as the last "real" Indian. This stellar example features kick start gearing and kicker and is considered to be one of the finer surviving Indians from 1915. This stellar example was a centerpiece at the Brookline, Massachusetts Museum of Transportations special exhibition "Putting America on Wheels" This bike is a great candidate for Vintage Bike rides and or a AMCA Show Bike in running condition. It is equipped with the original passenger seat/rack and passenger pegs. The bike would benefit from some serious detailing and needs a few replacement items such as a new front brake cable and some paint on the center kick stand.
