The title shows 8200 miles ,, I made a mistake when I registered it and it was simpler to leave it as to change it to the 6993 miles.. This was built with a new factory APEX kit and a new Brazilian VW motor.. I was told when I bought the bike he thought the motor was a 1600 cc but It could be a lot bigger. Really not sure. The trike has so much on it you just have to see it. The bike runs and looks great and gets a lot of thumbs up everywhere I go. My 1999 Honda Valkyrie Interstate with only 12790 Miles Is the ONE TO BUY. Beautiful condition Valkyrie Interstate. Only 2 owners. The color is called by Honda a Pearl Dark Green/Metallic Gray ComboUnfortunately, only a few of my pictures did justice to this amazing color combination. Most of them seem to make the bike look black which it clearly IS NOT. This 2 owner 1999 Honda Valkyrie Interstate has only 12790 original miles at the time of this posting. What a RARE FIND. The bike is in gorgeous original condition and it runs as good as it looks. It's wonderfully strong, amazingly smooth....If you want a Valkyrie Interstate, You have found the right one for you. There is a little bit of separation in the speaker panel that connects to the instrument panel. Nothing broken or cracked, just the gap between the two panels is a bit wide. Probably adjustable but since there is no vibration or looseness at all while riding, I'm not going to mess with it. I just wanted you to be aware of it. This is the only place where such separation exists. TIRES ARE IN GREAT CONDITION. DON'T HAVE THAT MANY MILES SINCE REPLACEMENT . The bike is totally rustfree having spent its entire life in the southwest desert of Albuquerque, New Mexico. The paint is in amazing shape. There is only one small rock chip on the right side saddlebag. There maybe some other small scratches but overall the condition of this bike is amazing.There is some melted boot sole on one of the exhaust pipes. This will be removed before you pick it up. It has some nice highway pegs for stretching out a bit on those longer trips. I believe they're kuryakyn or Cobra. Either way they're nice.And it actually has rear speakers. All of these bikes were provided with the rear speaker housings.Very few had the rear speakers installed. The stereo sounds great. Has an intercom system as well for talking with your passenger through your helmets.And if you have wired helmets, you can listen to the radio inside the helmet as well.And the original seats from 1999 are in perfect shape. That's because this bike was garaged all the time. And covered when parked on the road. Selling my Multistrada 1000 DS. Runs Great, daily driver, rebuilt title. Has 28k miles and still runs like new. These are impressive machines. I'm a mechanic and I rebuilt this downed bike a couple years ago to ride because Ducati's are fun, cool bikes with excellent engineering. I didn't make it a perfectly cosmetic bike because I ride, I don't show my bikes in events, don't need to impress the ladies that don't know what it is anyway. There is some small rash from the left side crash the previous owner had, but he had frame sliders, so, it's minimal. The left Motivation Frame Slider has been replaced with a new one. I also bought a couple used pieces that had slight rash, but it doesn't bother me, and the bike rides the same. You can spend the extra time and money to make it prettier, but for me it was more economical to leave it as is and just enjoy it. It has a new battery, Rizoma Red Italian Grips (they look and feel just like the cheap Chinese aluminum grips, just cost a bunch more), excellent Pirelli Tires, great Brembo Brakes, nice stock alloy Ducati wheels, stock seats, turn signal mirrors, etc. . . New front fork seals, too, so you won't have to worry about that for a long time. I like this Ducati because it's simple air and oil cooled and you're not hassled with all the water cooled bike maintenance issues, extra bulk and weight, etc... I also like the dry clutch. Yes it rattles when not engaged, but I kinda like that classic Ducati sound. The dry clutch lasts a lot longer than the wet ones. I'm only selling this bike because I'm getting into long distance touring and I have too many bikes as it is. I don't need money, so, please understand that I won't accept a lowball offer. Only new parts, brake rod, new rear tube History- Orig. owner Les Myers, 2nd owner bob Colwell, I Purchased the bike, from Colwell some 20 Yrs. ago, mileage unknown, both Myers an Colwell were Natl. Nbrs. I have a photo of Myers coming off the line on the WR. in Houston. Myers was listed in the Book, "Motorcycles in Competition" in their "Gallery of Greats" In 1935 Myers rode his 74 c.i Harley from Wichita Falls Texas to Marion Indiana, strip the bike, enter the 80 ci class of thirty five riders, from the USA & Canada, won his first Natl. set the fastest lap time for the TT mile 1.57 flat, loaded up an rode the bike home. I saw Myers on the 45 WR go over hill at Mineral Wells Texas, said to be the only 45ci to ever go over what was called "The toughest Hill in the south". In 1963 at the AHRA Natl., Green Valley Texas, I watched two men slowly pushing a Red (Bad sounding) A/Fuel Harley to the line, behind them walked a tall thin older man slumped over, I remember his leathers were taped at his boots, he crawled on the Harley an went in low 10's. Even in his late 60's he was at his best. I was told he owned the first HD dealership in Texas, an took Delivery. of the 1942 WR, one of only 6 made, in July/Aug of 1941, next run of WRs was mid 1940's. Myers was the "go to man" for HD's support riders in the early days for Tex, OK, NM.
