Engine 650

Posted Over 1 Month

This poor old 1968 Triumph Bonneville was wrecked many years ago and then rolled under a deck, wrapped in a tarp and forgot about. Engine number and frame number match. Engine is stuck from sitting and has a chip out of the left case where it joins the primary. I am including an extra case to cut a piece out for repair. Bike does roll and front brake does work. THERE IS NO TITLE and the miles are unknown. I bought this intending on parting it out but matching numbers 68 Bonnevilles are getting hard to find so I thought that I would give it a try as a whole bike. If it doesn't sell, I will eventually part it out. Look closely at the pictures, ask questions and request any extra pictures before bidding. Bike is located near Martinsville, Virginia and bidders are welcome to come see the bike in person. The buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and cost but I will help load. A $500 deposit must be made within 48 hours of purchase and balance must be paid in cash, postal money order, bank cashiers check or bank transfer within 5 days.

2014 Triumph America Two-tone, 2014 Triumph America This bike isn t just built to look a certain way, it s built to feel a certain way.The America is engineered around a unique engine so you get a truly authentic ride. One that connects you to Triumph s long and rich cruiser heritage. We re talking about its distinctive, air-cooled parallel-twin that gives you the riding experience you expect from this class but with a very individual British flavour.Taking classic cruiser appeal and blending it with Triumph reliability and everyday practicality. Standard Features May Include: Styling Pure cruiser with a British twist. With its eye-catching chromed and polished instruments, headlight bowl, shrouded front forks, twin rear shocks and engine covers. From the moment you see the America, and every second you ride, it feels every bit as authentic as it looks. Engine Built to be ridden, not just to look good. The America s 865cc parallel-twin puts out a healthy 61PS with strong torque at low revs, peaking at 72Nm at just 3300rpm. Ideal for urban cruising at low revs but with enough muscle for serious long distances at motorway speeds, even with a passenger or luggage on board. This vertical twin is a true original. Drawing on our heritage from fifties and sixties parallel twins and coupling that with modern technology and build standards, the engine in the America has a laid-back riding character that s unique to the cruiser world. An engine like this is about more than just the numbers. It s about the way it feels. It responds to the throttle obediently, allowing you to accelerate confidently. And we ve carefully modulated its vibration levels to allow you to connect with the ride without it becoming intrusive on long trips. Then there s the off-beat 270-degree firing interval and mellow soundtrack that gives substance to the America s cruiser styling for a bike that sounds, looks and, above all, feels amazing. Suspension With forks raked out at a shallow angle and feature polished shrouding and silver legs that match the chrome springs and covers of the laid-down, twin rear shocks. The America s suspension works hard to provide laid-back comfort and road feedback in true cruiser style. Handling Long, low and stable like a cruiser should be.Everything about the America s chassis is focussed on balance and we ve matched each component carefully to maintain that steady, intuitive feel.As a result, it s agile enough for an exciting ride when the road gets interesting and is more capable through the corners than most of its rivals. It s so well-balanced that it is ideal for inexperienced riders as well as a satisfying cruise for those with a lot of miles behind them. Brakes Never too sharp or inti

I have owned this bike for about 5 years and have put a lot of time and effort into it. First off it is titled as a 1970, I put it as a 71 as Im sure I will have a lot of people that will point out its a 71 because of the oil in frame. That being said title in hand is a 1970 and havent had a problem at the dmv or registering it as the vin numbers all match. Just dont have the time for it any more and could use a little extra cash for some projects.

This is the One!  Beautiful, capable, upgraded to really ride.  Over $4,000 in upgrades all done by my good friend Antonio and Rocket Motorcycles in San Diego, CA.  This bike is a crowd stopper anywhere it goes; it is smooth and comfortable for long rides, stylish for city rides and steals the show at any event against any bike.  It sounds like a British machine should.  The side by side twin engine hums like nothing you’ve heard before.  This modern interpretation of the Café Racer movement has the perfect look, perfect geometry for the discerning eye and the performance to match. Upgrades:SuspensionBritish Hagon Shocks that look and feel amazing, beautiful chrome, excellent performance.British Customs Front Strut Brace, it makes the bike handle much better than stock as the forks are braced together below the triple clamps.British Customs Progressive Fork Springs, this makes the ride plush at low speeds at the first part of the travel and stiffer on the rest, which helps a lot if you are riding more aggressively, diminishing front dive under breaking and the front bottoming out on tighter turns.British Customs Fork Gaiters.  Front forks are shrouded old school way to keep forks clear of dirt and debris.Norman Hyde Steering Damper.  If you ride on the freeway, especially at cruise speeds, you want your front to be steady as an arrow, this does the trick, tighten clockwise a few clicks and steering becomes tighter and more stable at higher speeds.  Ready for the street or the track. Engine Solid.  This bike is basically just broken in.  This is a fun bike to ride as it has a high torque at lower revs.Full Arrow 2 into 2 Exhaust without baffles, and ECU re-flash and tuning. Picks up about 5-10 HP and a better torque curve and they are lighter than stock pipes where it counts for a lower center of gravity.  Sound is amazing.K&N Air Filter.  Better air flow, better induction sound and a couple more HP’s.Heat Taped Headers.  This eliminates the worn look of the headers and improves engine efficiency as the heat is absorbed by the tape. Cosmetics Triumph Front Fairing.Chrome Tank LinerChrome Logo Tank CapKuryakin GripsPazzo Shorty Levers.British Customs Cateye Fender Eliminator Kit.Triumph Motorcycle Square Turn SignalsTriumph Skid Plate, Silver.Race Numbers.
