Up for sale is a very nice JAWA DT 500 Speedway Racer with the Model 894 motor. The motor serial number is 894-586 and the frame number is 12318. These bikes were produced from 1976 to 1980 but I put down 1976 as a date was required and it has the vintage hard tail frame. I took the bike on trade and it had been stored in a dry airplane hanger until I received it and a dry garage since then. I just recently cleaned the carb, oiled the top end, put fresh Blendzall Racing Castor oil in the in-frame tank, put in a fresh Champion spark plug, added fresh Methanol, and the bike lit right up and runs great. The bike had been properly stored with a clean oil tank, carburetor, and fuel tank. The dry clutch works as it should and the bike is very, very quick. The front Akront 23" rim has a Talon hub and a like newBarrum speedway tire. The rear rear is a 19" DID rim with a like new Barrum speedway tire. The rear tire still has nubs on it but the sidewall has some age cracks. It has a Mikuni carb and a new K&N air filter. The rear hub was blue factory anodized but fading. The bars are blue anodized aluminum. The Renthal grips and JAWA fork/bars cover is new. The rubber seal covers are like new. It has a custom leather seat. The frame is candy apple blue. The fenders and rear chain cover are plastic. The spray guard, open primary guard, and engine guards are all stainless steel or polished aluminum. It has a Cody Racing upper triple clamp and bar clamps along with a Cody Racing exhaust.

Here is for your consideration a beautifully restored 1972 Jawa 350 Californian. Jawa was built in former Czechoslovakia and in it's golden age, Jawa was dominating the motorcycle industry around the world. This is an example of Jawa's most successful model sold in the U.S.A. The famous Californian. This Jawa was found in the barn two years ago as a wreck with about 40% parts missing. She was disassembled and completely restored. By restoring, I mean frame up restoration with overhauled engine. Motorcycle received a new paintjob, which is in my opinion 7/10. All the parts that use to be chromed, were re-plated by triple plating method. Missing parts were sourced in the Czech Republic and originals were restored. Bike received new rims, spokes, tires and tubes. Seat plate was stripped and repainted, new upholstery was applied to the original seat foam base. New electrical installation, featuring an electronic and reliable VAPE ignition system. Motorcycle is equipped with battery, but motorcycle can run with out it ( since the VAPE magneto) Unit has 6V system. Fuel tank was sealed inside to prevent rust. Engine - completely disassembled, crank shaft rebuilt with new conrods installed. New pistons and rings coupled with re-bored cylinders. New seals and bearings were installed as well as a new clutch. Initially this motorcycle was equipped with a Jikov Carburetor, but for a better performance I installed a Jikov replica, with better performance in lower RPMs. This carburetor gives this bike the "edge", she rides like a dream. I rode her for about 80 miles to make sure that everything is working fine. She cruises effortlessly at 70 MPH with max speed I noted about 80-85 MPH. But did not ride at that speed for a long time ( just couple of minutes), since the engine is not yet fully broke in. New Hypoid 90 grade gear oil fill. This is a two stroke machine with a separate oil injection system. So you fill the gas tank with straight ( I recommend ethanol free) gas and there is an oil tank on the left side of the bike, which is filled with 2 stroke motor castor oil ( I recommend to keep using it). She starts right up on second kick, very reliable. Bike has a new speedometer, all new cables, rebuilt brakes and repacked wheel bearings. Front and rear shocks were rebuilt with new bushings and seals, with fresh fork oil fill. All rubber parts are new as well, including brand new tires. The taillight is a replica ( very good) of the original LUCAS unit, which was un-restorable, front headlight is the original BOSH, restored For pictures of the restoration and to see, what the bike looked like before the restoration, please visit my facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/Pavels-Restoration-427624467343978/photos/?tab=album&album_id=804390199667401 In conclusion, this motorcycle was restored the right way, I did not cut any corners, however it is an old motorcycle, which will probably require more maintenance and attention than brand new bikes with modern technology. If you are looking for a daily rider, this might not be the bike for you and you should buy yourself something Japanese. But, she is very unique motorcycle, that creates lots of attention everywhere I go. For 43 year old bike, she rides like a dream and for somebody, who is a Jawa enthusiast, or just looking for something unique and different, she might be the bike of choice. She could be also used for display, to represent the fabulous 70's motorcycling era. Price: I'm open to offers, but please keep in mind that to purchase this kind of motorcycle project, you will have to spend probably around $1500 and to get it restored, you are looking for another 6-7k. So please no lowballing. I spend a considerate amount of time and invested lot of $ to do it right. Please ask any questions before committing to buy, also ebayers with out any feedback - contact me before purchasing this motorcycle, I reserve to cancel your bid if you do not. Title: Since this motorcycle was a barn find, there is NO title!!! I will provide a Bill Of Sale. Ebay does not allow to place bike there with no title, so even it say "clear" - I DO NOT HAVE A TITLE FOR THIS BIKE!! Thank you for looking.

1958 Jawa 500 OHC. This is perhaps the most coveted model of Jawa motorcycle. Apart from Jawa Supersport and various competition models, the 500 is a rare sight in Europe, and especially here in the US.If you are not familiar with this bike please read the article linked below. After buying this Jawa several years ago I quickly discovered that apart from the frame, engine and wheels not much else was original. The gas tank, fenders and tool boxes were Jawa Perak items. The engine, the most important part of this bike was fortunately complete but it needed a bit of work. The top end was rebuilt with new pistons and valves, the magneto replaced and new oil lines installed. While the parts for this rare bike are um… rare, they can be had if you know where to look or if you know someone who knows where to look. The rest of the restoration was carried out by Florida-based Jawa expert. He sourced the original as well as reproduction parts needed to bring this 500 to its former glory. While the bike looks fantastic it will need some additional engine tweaking. It seems that the timing will have to be dialed in and an oil leak (possibly from oil lines) addressed. Not being a mechanic, I won’t even attempt to resolve these issues myself. I’m letting go of this bike to finance restoration of another Czechoslovakian-made beauty: Tatra T600. The bike comes with Illinois title. For international buyers, please have your shipping/importing details sorted out before bidding. Here is what Robert Smith of Motorcycle Classics.com had to say about Jawa 500 in his December 2014 article: “[T]he 500’s ingenuity of design, quality of finish, and attention to detail was almost breathtaking, and certainly on par with BMW. Examples include the air filter neatly encased in a cutout in the oil tank, the throttle cable running inside the handlebars, the elegant headlight nacelle (…), the massive rear suspension plunger castings designed to prevent any “looseness” in the rear wheel, the inclusion of hydraulic dampers inside the plunger housings, and the discreet use of gold pinstriping. [T]he overall feel is one of quality and sophistication, reflecting a Jawa tradition that even their communist overlords couldn’t suppress.” You can see the engine running here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGLy-S4KF3U&feature=youtu.be You can read the article here: http://www.motorcycleclassics.com/more-classic-motorcycles/classic-jawa-motorcycles/jawa-500-zm0z14ndzkel.aspx?PageId=2

1958 Velorex Oskar. This is a rare example of an early production Velorex Oskar as indicated by the low frame number 1596 (out of approximately 15,000 Velorexes ever built between early 1950 and late 1960s). Velorexes that come up for sale are typically later models that were produced in mid- to late 1960s. Unlike later models, early production Oskar has springs in the front suspension instead of shock absorbers. Very few Oskars have survived. As was often the practice in the old days, this Oskar received an upgraded engine sometimes after 1963. A two-cylinder, 350 cc engine with a dynastarter replaced the 250cc single-cylinder making this Velorex the best combination of rarity of an Oskar with drivability of a more powerful engine. The 350cc engine makes the Velorex capable of keeping up with modern traffic and the electric starter is infinitely better to the hand-lever attached to a kickstarter shaft. The Oskar had its frame stripped and repainted in original color. The fenders were restored and repainted, new tires and tubes fitted on repainted rims. New wiring installed. The engine received a thorough ($2,500-worth) overhaul by Florida-based Jawa restorer. Crank shaft was rebuilt and balanced, new bearings, seals, clutch, primary duplex chain were fitted. The cylinder heads we re-bored and new pistons and rings fitted. The gearbox was cleaned and inspected, no additional work was required. Dynastarter was cleaned, inspected and tested. Ignition points replaced, the engine tuned. Velorex starts and drives as it should. The only thing this Oskar needs is to have the outer panels installed and the windshield fitted (the glass and rubber seal are included). I recently imported high-quality set of “skins” that consists of outer panels, upholstery, window frames with new windows and the convertible top as well as a set of hardware needed to attach the panels to the frame. This kit is considered to be the most authentic reproduction of the original. I can supply detailed pictures of an original Velorex to help the next owner with the work.

This is a Taylar Motorbike build. It was finished December 8th, 2015. It is not a replica (copy) but a tribute (resembles) a 1914 Thor. This is as good as it gets with tribute cycles. NO PART of this was from a bicycle. It has 100% top of the line components.Powered by a very reliable Honda GC160 4 stroke motor (no mixing fuel) which has been internally upgraded.CVT Belt drive torque converter with upgraded bearings. (No shifting)Upgraded Mikuni carb Stainless Steel exhaust & manifold Custom balanced, milled and polished flywheelKnurled brass caps and machined knurled starter pulleyCustom head modification with Thor style lifter and push tube (polished)Thick wall steel tubing used on entire frame, stays and forks.Custom Thor fuel tank (internally vented) with tank toolboxThor style oiler (can use for storage) with door (keyed)Genuine handmade correct style MESINGER stamped leather seatCycle wheels with heavy duty FRONT and REAR drum hub brakes. (Not bicycle wheels)Period correct Diamond tread tiresThick custom made cables.Heavy duty motorcycle leversStainless Steel nuts/boltsSealed bearings throughoutHeavy-Duty drop stand & clipUtility rear rack / carrier3 piece cranks with sealed bearings and heavy plated block pedalsPowder coated deep Gray & Gloss Black. (10 times thicker and more durable than paint) This cycle has a lifetime registration and comes with a Ca license plate. It can be operated on the roads without a license. Unlike the 49cc 2 stroke bicycle engine, this will get you up to 50 MPH regardless of your weight (unless you're REALLY a fatty!) It has 3 times the torque and thumps like a motorcycle! If you are an interested party I would be happy to send you a very detailed description of all the components. Ebay only allows 12 pictures. If youd like a detailed shot of a particular component let me know. (I am selling this build ONLY. No parts or custom builds being accepted, sorry.) **Free TIP** If you are in the market for a street legal motor/pedal tribute cycle and you intend to ride it: BE SURE... 1. See pictures taken DURING the build before it was painted/powder coated (look at the quality) 2. Make SURE it wasn't made from a cut up Walmart bicycle then painted really cool (99% are!) 3. Don't get one with a Chinagirl 49/66/80cc 2 stroke motor, they are whimpy and sound like a toy. 4. Ask for detailed list of components used (frame, wheels, hubs, spokes, tires, pedals/cranks, steel, type of bearings, brakes, fittings, grade of nuts/bolts) 5. Stay away from sellers claiming they are the best. The best don't "sell themselves"; their customers do! Visit motorbicyling.com, tribute/replica websites & forums and they will let you know who that is. This is a 7 day auction, buy it now only. If cycle is not sold it will be on display at the Riverside Marriott show on Jan 9th. It can be purchased on site or delivery arrangements may be made with deposit. Come by and check it out before you buy! Local pick up-balance paid in person. Will ship at buyers expense once paid for. Ships from Ca 92504 $1000 to be paid (Paypal) immediately after auction complete. Balance to be paid within 14 days in person or by Cashiers Check if being shipped. 1972 PANNONIA P20 WIN: 2072061729ENGIN NO.: 72061729 THE JEWEL OF THE BLUE DANUBE It is so rare, it might just be the only one in the U.S.A. From the cradle of motorcycle manufacturing there came the famous two stroke design from DKW. It was so good and relatively easy to build, many European factories emulated this design and with their own twist they built their own motorcycle models. We already know this as a fact that even the Japanese two strokes were developed from this design. Needless to say that they perfected it, until regulations put an end to it. SHORT HISTORY OF THE MANUFACTURER Johann Strauss did not invent the Blue Danube, but he did romanticize it way beyond its tributaries. While millions of people in all European countries danced on his famous waltz, engineers were inspired by his celestial music. The West-Germans built the DKW-s, the East-Germans built the MZ-s. The Checkoslovakians built the JAWA-s and the CZ-s. The Hungarians built the Csepel-s and the PANNONIA-s. The Russians built the URAL-s (not a two-stroke, but a copy of the BMW) and the IZS-s. I, intentionally and perhaps ignorantly missed a few, but the above mentioned, I rode myself, or came to have known them by personal experiences. Once upon a time, there was a big factory in Budapest, Hungary. It was called Weiss Manfred, and they had a workforce of 30,000 people. Between WWI and WWII they built motorcycles, among many household items and other goods, even airplanes. The factory was located on Csepel Island, therefore it was renamed under the communist years as Csepel Metal Works (I started my apprenticeship there in 1957). The late 1940s, they produced 100 cc and 125 cc motorcycles (see pictures of my 1949 125 CSEPEL) , and in the 1950s they came out with the 250 cc, named CSEPEL. In the 1960s they focused on the 250 cc single cylinder two-stroke model named PANNONIA (a Roman province in Central-Europe, where Attila the Hun ruled and roamed the land). In 1975, the motorcycle division closed its doors, ceasing the manufacturing motorcycles all together, but the factory remained open for some time. SHORT (PERHAPS LONG) STORY OF THIS BIKE In 1963, I bought a 250 cc single cylinder Pannonia, and this bike remained in my possession until I left Hungary for the United States. By the end of 1968, the P20 (250 cc vertical twin two-stroke) hit the market, and the next early spring I had to have one. This bike was as good as the factory promised it. With its "Yamaha-look-alike" it quickly became the most desirable bike behind the "Iron-Curtain." After many years and kilometers in the saddle of the 14 LE single cylinder Pannonia, the 22 LE propelled this bike magically. I was in motorcycle heaven for a short time, until 1970, when I sold it. I immigrated to the United States that year, and often thought and dreamed about those two Pannonias. As the follow-up of a freakish dream, I have found a 1965 250 cc single cylinder WHITE motorcycle at a swap meet (at that time I did not know this that Jack White an American entrepreneur sold Pannonia motorcycles here in the U.S.A., under his own name: WHITE). My son and I, instantly recognized this bike from its distinctive features, even though, it was heavily modified and disguised. Since then, I bought three more singles. In 1979, in a feverish desire, I purchased this very 1972 PANNONIA P20 from a Hungarian restorer (unseen). Almost at the same time, I bought the 1949 125 cc CSEPEL, he was working on. These two bikes were shipped to me, and I quickly obtained titles and registered them here in California. Even though, I have been riding big, powerful and modern motorcycles, this little vertical twin put a grin on my face every time I rode it. And I rode it to all of the popular places where riders meet up, and some of my friends started to call me the "King of Whites and Pannonias." In 2000, this 1972 PANNONIA P20 won 2nd place at the Del-Mar Concourse d’Elegance Show in the Continental European Division. It was beyond my belief, and when my 1949 125 cc CSEPEL won 3RD place at the same show in a different division (time period), I almost exploded from excitement. RECENT REPAIRS 1. New battery 2. Seat was redone 3. New inner tubes and period correct Dunlop K-81 tires MODIFICATIONS 1. Replaced original air filters (ugly and insufficient) with K&N ? Or Emgo pods. 2. Replaced original points (not so-good and hard to come by) with Yamaha points. 3. Missing keyed lock on toolbox. Replaced it with turn-knob. Original factory or newly-made parts are abundantly available in Hungary, and I can help to obtain them. NOTE Complete restoration was done approximately at 19,000 miles. Please note that odometer is in kilometers NOT in miles. Approximate milage is 19,500 miles. Since the pictures taken, I’ve ridden the bike extensively. It runs very strong, just my original in 1969-1970. This bike should be placed in a museum or in a private collection, but could be ridden daily. This bike might have some minor imperfections, but it is almost perfect, considering the fit and finish of the original bike. I included some pictures of this and the other two bikes I have entered the show at Del Mar, California.
