Selling a few a week until all cleared out. All bikes run, but will need a good going over. This collection of bikes belonged to a gentleman who never rode them, but had them restored to riding condition years ago. They've been sitting in his garage since. We fired each bike and ran for 5min or less. Each bike listed will need a complete going over - including carbs - fork seals etc.. Anything that would need attention after sitting for last 2-3 years. Tanks were all cleaned and sealed with a treatment ( not sure what brand his mechanic used) I've shown a ton of pics to depict the condition of the bike. New rubber on each of these bikes! Listing shows " clear title", no option for "no title" on ebay software. These are Florida bikes - dirt bikes require no title hear, will come with a bill of sale. Frame ID is painted over, hard to make out, looks like 383115 ?? Not for sure. engine ID = U404610 = 1972 400cc. New Kick start pedal / arm should be installed on Monday. The original is partially stripped. Was told this was a 1972 - MC400. I will work with you on transport, I have a client who may be able to transport depending on destination. thebam1332 Store Very Rare 1974 MC250 Vintage MX MotoCross UNRESTORED ORIGINAL 1974 Maico MC250/4 MC MotoCross Last of the true 'vintage' Maicos The suspension revolution was in full combat attack mode and every manufacturer was scrambling with this 'new' technology and trying desperately to stay ahead of their competitors and out do one another. Maico would come out with no less than 5 FIVE models in 2 TWO years!! from 1974 to 1976 a NEW bike was introduced virtually every six months!! and if you weren't racing on the latest & the greatest bike available that particular week, you were out classed and obsolete. This very rare 74 model was the last iteration of the true short travel MC model line, as the tiny W. German Maico factory was busy preparing the '74.5 GP's for production and distribution. All numbers match each other---frame--both data plates---motor.This bike is all stick and origianl with the following exception: grips (Scott), throttle, Pacifico plastic replica front fender, Circle Industries gas cap, WheelSmith brake arm, and WheelSmith foot pegs.----that's it!  This bike is a total find still sporting it's original Metzler 6 days tires (good condition), Radaelli rims (front has some chrome peeling-see-photos, pipe & rear bracket , surface rust wear side stand, shrouded Girling shocks (still dampen), bolt-on crossbar handlebars, early Magura controls , seat & cover (usable but has tears, see photos, all fiberglass (except front), forks & boots, Bing carb, cables, wheels, sprockets, chain, bolts & fasteners, etc. etc.. Bike has paint scratches, & scuffs, surface rust, patina & red paint splatters on the tank. It just had an oil change, new oil filter, & fuel lines replaced. Runs Great! Email me, [email protected] for a video of it running. VERY HARD to find these bikes unmolested and original as production numbers were extremely low, and also due to many owners chopping up their frames and moving up the shock positions trying to make them competitive with the later bikes. Almost impossible to find a '74 250 Maico like this anymore. If you like unrestored originals, this is it!  Buyer is required 100.00 immediate deposit. Cash due upon pick up. Buyer to arrange pick up. Bike is in Auburn Hills, michigan. see all photos below enlarged for condition and details

1982 Maico "Alpha 1" This bike has the 5 speed MX gearbox (RT 354xxxx) with frame 354xxxx.I have not seen this bike running - the kick starter shaft is stripped. It does go into gear and can be rolled showing compression.Previous owner told me he push started the bike. For the most part , an original bike. What I would call a decent "core". No Title - Sold on a Bill of Sale.If you have less than 20 feedbacks - you must contact me before bidding - no exceptions. Please have all transportation arrangements made before bidding. 1982 MAICO 490 ,first year single shock motocross bike. I bought this and restored it about 10 years ago with the intention of racing the single shock class. Frame was powder coated, the aluminum Thor swing arm is from the era, the shock is a Fox Shock for the 1982 Maico. It was rebuilt by Mike at SRD Suspension and a spring was made for my weight ( 170 pounds). I added a Wheelsmith brake stay arm with trick adjustment. The plastic was replaced at that time, tank graphics were applied, the side panel graphics were added last week. The forks were bead blasted, new seals and oil. Billet Rage Racing ignition cover, case saver from Maico Only, footpegs are big ones from IMS Racing. At that time I put on a new seat cover, new filter from Vintage Iron is in correct airbox. Cables are the trick steel braided ones from Terry Cable. Aluminum bars with new Magura throttle and new grips. Stock pipe with DG silencer. The carburetor is a 38mm Mikuni. Bike starts and runs through the gears as it should, I have not had the need to open the engine up, it has all the power you'd expect from a 490. The flaws are as follows, ding on front Hallman rim that doesn't seem to effect the rideability. The front cable has some sunburn on plastic coating, appearance only. Engine seeps oil from the right side case, I'll try to replace the clutch cover gasket this week time permitting. The tires will need to be replaced before first race. Please feel free to ask any questions about this motorcycle or payment and shipping. Shipping is buyers responsibility but I will assist in any way I can. $500 immediate deposit by Paypal, balance by cashiers check or cash. Cashiers check must clear before bike leaves my garage. If you are an overseas buyer and have questions please ask, again I will try to assist. No warranty or guarantees , as is. There is no title on bikes of this era in Arizona, please be aware if this is a problem for you.

1981 Maico 250. Frame serial is 350xxxx. Engine serial is MT350xxxx. Very little known history. At some point - the top-end was being refreshed. Piston reads 90 (over standard). The top end was never buttoned up correctly (no head gasket) Plan to tear down and inspect. The frame has been re-enforced at the "Y" junction above rear shocks. (Nice job) This is a decent "core" bike - build into a race bike and/or restore. Bike is listed locally. See Pictures ... Ask Questions.

1983 Maico 250 Spider. I have owned this bike for about a year. I heard it run the day I purchased and it has sat since - time to let it go. You are looking at a 32 year old dirt bike - battle scars and bruises included. For the most part , an original bike. The pipe is a "cone" type and thus an aftermarket item. Seat cover is original , decals look original. The frame and engine serials are in line with what is in the Maico registry - so I would think that the engine / frame combo are factory original. See Pictures ... Ask Questions.

This was carefully stashed in storage for a few years. It is finally out and ready for dirt! VIDEO OF IT RUNNING: http://youtu.be/SjU0RmCOOag The previous owner welded a rear flag mount on the back on the rear fender brace. That is that silly lump you see there. There are no dents in the tank. The previous owner had quite a few stickers on the gas tank, the paint peeled when they were removed.I have been riding it around my neighborhood and it feels FANTASTIC! NEW PARTS JUST INSTALLED:Petcock $36Gas Cap $31Air Filter Cage $29Twin Air Filter $34Gas Lines - Fuel Filter - (2) Yellow Drain Lines $14 It needs:Compression release lever and cable (there is a spare spark plug in there now), side covers, fenders, (the fenders on there are off a old CR480 just for show)Stand not included Lets talk about priceDo some homework, check completed listings on fleabay for this year and model...check searchtempest for availability and current prices on cl....this is priced below/middle market for this bike. 1975 MAICO GS400– ALL ORIGINAL SURVIVOR! 134 ORIGINAL MILES, FRAME # 341016, ENGINE # K407112, TWO OWNERS FROM NEW, TITLE INCLUDED, RUNS AND RIDES 96 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Maicowerk A.G. was a West German motorcycle manufacturer. Founded in 1926 by Ulrich Maistch as Maistch & Co, the company originally manufactured 98 and 123 cc Ilo two stroke engines. After Worls War II, they began producing their own unit construction two-stroke engines, selling complete motorcycles. Maico made a brief foray into the automobile business with their own line of microcars in the late 1950s. Maico have also made go kart engines. The road motorcycles were named after winds... 'Blizzard', 'Typhoon' etc., but the company was better known for its purpose-built Motocross and Enduro machines, and for its 'Maicoletta' motor scooter, both of which sold in higher numbers than the road motorcycles. Maico Racing Motorcycles: Maico motocross (MC) and enduro (GS) racing models proved very successful in both European and American competition throughout the 1970s. While lacking the financial capital and big money race-team backing like that of the Japanese factories of Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki, Maico riders such as Adolf Weil, Ake Jonsson, and Willy Bauer proved to be a serious challenge to the Japanese factories and produced numerous top three finishes in the Motocross World Championships. The firm also experienced some success in Grand Prix road racing competitions with rider Borje Jansson winning three 125cc Grand Prix races between1972 and 1973. American publication Motocross Action called the 1981 Maico Mega 2 - 490cc the greatest open-class motocross bike of all time. The 1974.5 400cc and 440cc GP, 1978/79 250cc Magnum and 1981 490cc models along with any year 501cc motocross bike are also some of the most sought-after vintage MX and twin-shock motorcycles to this day. One of the visual modernizations of the Maico off-road motorcycles was the move from a "coffin" style tank in 1974 to a "teardrop" style tank in 1978/79 on bikes like the 250 Magnum. The bikes later moved to plastic tanks in 1980 with the Mega 490. One of the largest contributions to the world of motocross suspension technology came in the 1974 season when the Wheelsmith Motorcycles team in the USA and the Gunther Schier teams in Europe forward-mounted the rear shocks on the Maico factory-backed motorcycles, immediately increasing the travel and ability to trump the competition. This initiated a frantic effort on the part of factory teams and privateers alike; chopping up their frames in a desperate attempt to remain competitive. Maicowerk AG filed for bankruptcy in 1983, but continued to produce small numbers of motocross and enduro models (re-badged as M-Stars in the United States due to legal issues) up through 1986. Subsequent manufacturers have purchased the brand name and applied it to their own limited production motorcycles. Modern open-class dirt-bikes are still being produced under the Maico brandname. The ATK Intimidator dirt-bike (reportedly the most powerful production 2 stroke motorcycle available aside from Maico's own motorcycles) features a Maico motor. After the company went out of business in 1986, its assets were taken over by a Dutch company, but to this day retains a strong cult following. Many riders restore vintage Maicos for display or to take back to the track.

Maico 400 radial. This is an early radial model with the thin web between the fins. Runs and shifts good, picks the front end up with just the throttle. Clutch has been updated with small clutch basket using a long pin so that the big clutch cover can be used. Clutch works nice and easy, doesn't drag when running in gear with the lever in. Mikuni carb is jetted so it runs crisp. I didn't have the bottom end apart on this one, but the rod and main bearings felt very good and within tolerance. Kick lever knuckle has been repaired, but the splines are very nice. Pipe s an aftermarket, and a 78 CR 250 Honda muffler has been welded on. Most of this bike is the way I received it, and I planned to just ride it, so some of the cosmetics are unfinished. The gas tank was painted but needs to be sealed, as it leaks on the seams. New petcocks, new shift linkage, and a new piston ring was installed on the 77.56 Mahle piston. Tank and seat are original, forks look good and are not leaking. Please check all of the photos and ask questions. . $250 Paypal deposit within 48 hours, and the remainder to be paid in 7 days. Buyer is responsible for shipping, or local pick up. :
