I always wanted the grabber blue with white stripes. When I found the one D&M had for sale I knew I wanted the car because it was 2010 grabber blue with red stripe ( never seen the combo before ) I always said I would never buy a car sight unseen but everything just felt right. During that time I have had over 12 Corvettes and during the last 3 years I have been collecting High end classic cars. After working on a friends Corvette I got the bug to get another Corvette. I went to the internet site of D&M Motorsports . Their site has all High Def photos that are taken by a professional photographer and I found a pristine 1993 40th Anniversary Corvette with only 1,300 documented miles. I went up to D&M and Dave handled the sale. We settled on a price and I purchased the car that day. Because of the low miles on the car Dave arranged with Mike to deliver the car in an enclosed trailer to my home. Mike is the President & owner of D&M yet he took the time to deliver the car himself. In 67 years I have never taken the time to write a review on anyone, but D&M is truly special. The truly unusual part of this deal was Mike took my pristine 1940 Chevy coupe in on trade. Either you're so mad at the product or the seller you write a scathing report or you're so enthralled 2 days after you buy you gush with enthusiasm. No one seems to take the time to evaluate and come to a proper review to help the people looking for information. So I hope my words will be of value for a potential customer. I started looking for a Corvette in October of 2013 all over the Midwest and D & M Motorsports was just one of the dealers I pestered for 4 months, in those months I met with Angie and Dave checking out the cars I previously viewed and all their new arrivals. At no time was I pressured to purchase and every meeting was cordial and all my questions were answered no matter how long it took. In February 2014 they got in the car I wanted and I made an offer they agreed too and with the contingency I could have the car checked out. Not only did they agree to my terms they even stored the car for a month till the weather broke and at no charge. The whole experience was 1st class and I was never treated better by a dealer new or used. I believe you have to remember you are dealing with used cars and anything can happen, which is not necessarily the fault of the seller. I always wanted the grabber blue with white stripes. During that time I have had over 12 Corvettes and during the last 3 years I have been collecting High end classic cars. After working on a friends Corvette I got the bug to get another Corvette. I went to the internet site of D&M Motorsports . Their site has all High Def photos that are taken by a professional photographer and I found a pristine 1993 40th Anniversary Corvette with only 1,300 documented miles. I went up to D&M and Dave handled the sale. We settled on a price and I purchased the car that day. While we often joke about how poorly those were built back in the day, Panoz really understands how to make uniform panels out of strong and lightweight SPF aluminum. The racer-grade alloy has been shaped into a unique and aggressive design. This is a low mileage babied exotic, and so the original blue paint still has an amazing luster that would make new cars jealous. This level of care is reflected in all the other components from the rear spoiler to the power folding roof. While this is a performance machine, it also was built to compete with the luxury exotics. You get a premium interior with tan leather bucket seats and plenty of wood on the dash. It has great features like an AM/FM/CD stereo, power locks, driver airbag, cruise control, tilt wheel, keyless entry, and ice cold air conditioning. Even with these added luxuries, you'll know this is a driver's vehicle the moment you grab the Momo performance steering wheel and turn the key to watch the white-faced gauges do their dance. (212M) Brief Panoz History (taken from previous article) Ask the average person on the street if they've ever heard of a car company called Panoz and you probably won't get much of a response. In the automotive world, however, the name Panoz is well-known and is synonymous with cycle-fendered roadsters, elegant convertible GT cars, and a short but already amazing racing history. The start of Panoz Auto Development actually began in Ireland where Danny Panoz first worked for a car company called Thompson Motor Company. The company was eventually liquidated, and Danny decided to buy the rights to their chassis. Moving to California, Danny and a friend went to work on the chassis, modifying it so that it could fit a V8 engine. "He always wanted to put a V8 in it," said John Leverett, the director of engineering for Panoz who gave me a tour of their facilities. "The original chassis had a 4-cylinder and they re-did the whole chassis to fit the V8." Using this chassis and a Ford V8 engine, Panoz went on to develop the roadster that he would eventually sell to the public. In 1990 Panoz moved the company from California to a 2000 sq-ft facility in Hoschton, Georgia that now serves as a small museum for Panoz featuring several cars that make up the history of Panoz and also as a parts storage and construction facility for the Esperante GTS racer. By this time the company had grown to seven employees and had finished a production version of the Roadster. The first customer car was delivered just two years later in 1992. The Roadster went basically unchanged until 1996 when it received several major updates. Renamed the AIV (aluminum intensive vehicle) Roadster because of its new lightweight aluminum frame, the new roadster featured leather and other such luxury items, a contrast with the original Roadster with had "no pretences to practicality." Handling improved with a new independent rear suspension, and 13-inch brakes stopped the approximately 2200 lb car in incredibly short distances. The start of Panoz Auto Development actually began in Ireland where Danny Panoz first worked for a car company called Thompson Motor Company. The company was eventually liquidated, and Danny decided to buy the rights to their chassis. Moving to California, Danny and a friend went to work on the chassis, modifying it so that it could fit a V8 engine. "He always wanted to put a V8 in it," said John Leverett, the director of engineering for Panoz who gave me a tour of their facilities. "The original chassis had a 4-cylinder and they re-did the whole chassis to fit the V8." (212M) Brief Panoz History (taken from previous article) Ask the average person on the street if they've ever heard of a car company called Panoz and you probably won't get much of a response. In the automotive world, however, the name Panoz is well-known and is synonymous with cycle-fendered roadsters, elegant convertible GT cars, and a short but already amazing racing history. The start of Panoz Auto Development actually began in Ireland where Danny Panoz first worked for a car company called Thompson Motor Company. The company was eventually liquidated, and Danny decided to buy the rights to their chassis. Moving to California, Danny and a friend went to work on the chassis, modifying it so that it could fit a V8 engine. "He always wanted to put a V8 in it," said John Leverett, the director of engineering for Panoz who gave me a tour of their facilities. "The original chassis had a 4-cylinder and they re-did the whole chassis to fit the V8." Using this chassis and a Ford V8 engine, Panoz went on to develop the roadster that he would eventually sell to the public.
