I am very careful about my descriptions having gone on many wild goose chases to see bikes and cars that turned out to be in far less condition than advertised. I am sure many of you have been in the same boat so I will do my utmost to describe this so that there are NO disappointments or surprises. 1973 Rickman rolling nickel plated MX chassis with manufacturers plate still in place reading 11/72 and S/N 6968 Z. Someone painted frame silver but we spent 5 mins cleaning a partial frame tube and shines beautifully although there are some spots near engine area that show rust thru paint. It has some motor mounts welded in place but they can be removed and new ones made up to fit your engine choice. I was told plates were for a Hodaka and originally it was for a Zundapp motocross. Picture a Ducati single or whatever. Has Rickman rear hub and conical front hub and Betor forks. No title but can get a clear New Hampshire title within 3 weeks of sale for an extra $100.00 if needed. Please feel free to contact me thru eBay with any questions you may have. Please note that I use my own picture service so you get larger and higher quality photos and I took many to show every aspect of this bike so you get no unwanted surprises. Up for sale is my very clean and rare of a bike, 1972 Rickman Montesa 250, made in England by the Rickman brothers using the 250cc Montesa engine plant. Running and riding with fresh tune up. Runs like a new bike off the showroom, has premix in clean tank. Nice tank decals, frame is the "chromoly" metal that is polished very nice by hand, see pictures for full details. True Mileage is unknown as this is a 2 stroke dirtbike. VIN: 5654-M Bike has been in storage for 10 years, dry and clean storage and the bike shows for it. Tank is near spotless inside and never had ethanol in it from previous owner. I haven't had this bike for very long time, but the first time I saw it was in 1970 in the showroom of Steen's in Alhambra. At that time I couldn't get the money together to buy it so I ended up buying a Hodaka Steens SS. Anyway back to this bike, for those who don't know of this bike or model, this is a rare BSA Rickman Westlake. This bike was first designated to Steen's in Alhambra in 1969/1970. John Steen and Derek Rickman were good friends and business associates so Steen's was the exclusive importer of the Rickman BSA Westlake. The Motorcycle World Article shows Derek Rickman test riding a BSA Westlake in the 1969 for the 1969 Elsinore GP, another article says he rode the race on a BSA Westlake and was running third when he DNF do to electrical problems. After John Steen closed his business, the bike went to Lynn Wineland, who worked with John Steen for many years. Lynn owned this bike for many, many years then the bike went to a couple of museums and then I purchased it . For sale a 1977 Kawasaki Rickman (registered as Rickman) turbo cafe racer. Only 250 miles since an older grounds up total restoration. Second place winner in the "Cycle World" Motorcycle Show in the Specials category. The pictures will show how exceptional, probably one of a kind it is, but here is a list of some of the the highlites: The engine was built by Dale Walker from HP Holeshot Performance. It has the 1395 cc low compression Wiseco turbo kit. Welded crankshaft, undercut transmission gears, dyna S ignition, stainless valves, APE clutch kit and a long list of other heavy duty engine parts to complete the rebuild. GCB Italian upside down Superbike racing forks, with magnesium triple clamps from "Storz Performance. Progressive 17000 series adaptive rear shocks. Ohlins steering damper with custom machined mounts. HP- Holeshot Performance front brake discs with 4 piston calipers. Lockheed Racing front brake master cylinder. HRC (Hahn Raceraft) tuned and overhauled Rajay turbo to match the engine characteristics. HPC coating on the exhaust headers- will not turn color. Mr. Turbo water injection kit. SS Super G "Shorty" carburetor. Blue powder coated engine covers. Many other custom machined and polished details, like the handle bar mounted mirror/turn signal detail, the front brake caliper mounts etc. Extra instruments in the fairing. The fiberglass tank was double epoxy coated inside recently, no fuel leaks. The only reason i am selling it is that the riding position is so radical, that i can't sit on it even parked in my garage. Rickman special with a Montesa VA125 motor. I decided to use this frame rather than spend a fortune looking for an original Montesa VA125 frame. I used lots of NOS parts for this build, and the only thing needed for the swap was to relocate a couple motor mounts. It has the Zundapp pipe modified to fit the Montesa cylinder. The fenders and seat base are NOS, but the rear was red, and the blue paint did not match well. I have more photos coming soon. I also installed new levers, Michelin tires, NOS spokes, NOS rear sprocket, new main bearings and seals, the kicker and kick shaft were new when I went through the motor. It has the enduro ignition, and the OEM ignition will go with it. Nice Betor forks, Curnutt rear shocks are like new. New cables. The frame has been painted because I was quoted $1500 for nickel plating. It shifts fine, will sit and idle, handles like a Rickman should. This is a great bike for a beginner or collector, or just a pit bike. Please check the photos and ask questions. 2012 Other Makes Frame kit NEW BSA 250 441 METISSE FRAME KIT BY WASP

New replica Metisse frame kit from the British off road frame specialist Wasp Engineering to fit the BSA B44 441 power unit. Still in all the manufacturer's wrappings other than what was opened by Homeland security. Classic nickle plated Rickman frame with swing arm, footrests brake pedal and engine mounting plates for the BSA B25 and B44 engine, should not be too hard to modify the rear mounts to but a B50 engine in. Air box with dual filters, seat and full body work including front fender in ivory(gas tank is not ethanol resistant and will need to be sealed). Included is a new aftermarket straight high pipe which should fit. Although eBay made me check the box that says it has a title, the only paperwork that Wasp supplies is a dating certificate so the kit is sold on a Bill of Sale. BIGGER IS BETTER (back Ground) The MOV was doing so well that a larger version was needed & by lengthening the stroke, they created the 350cc Velocette MAC in 1934. It became the real bread winner for Velocette Motorcycles, their best-selling model. The much-needed capital was invested in an entirely new design, a big 500cc OHV single sport version to be called the MSS in 1935. This utilized an all-new frame, developed from the MkV KTT race machines & shared this frame with the KSS MkII, 1936-48. The MSS was another runaway hit for Velocette Motorcycles. World War II halted production which did not resume until much later. The 1935 MSS was a much more modern machine with the same frame as the Velocette MAC and was fitted with sidecar lugs and had optional panniers to appeal to the touring market. Buyers started tuning the MSS for speed, however, and the factory responded by producing the sports Velocette Venom model. Burt Monro from New Zealand, featured in the film "The World’s Fastest Indian" chose a 1936 MSS 500cc raced a heavily modified Velocette MSS. Racing preparations including making special pistons, changing the frame and increasing bored out engine capacity to 650cc. His top speed record on this motorcycle was 138 mph. with a 1/4 mile time of 12.31 seconds. This fine example is reported to be an excellent runner and fun to ride.
