1975 Rupp MX-80. Nice restorable bike with a good running Fuji 80cc engine. Bike is almost complete. Lots of great parts on this bike. If you just need the Fuji engine, the engine would be free if you parted out just a few of the other parts from this bike. Got bike from neighbor and there is no title. Bill of sale. Background on the bike: Very race I have been told. Only found 1 picture of the bike anywhere. The MX-80 appears to be a combination of the RMT and L-80/L-100. The bike came with lots of great and highly wanted parts today like the popular Fuji 80cc engine, 17 inch wheels, showa shocks, 4 speed manual trans, alloy front forks, and alloy hubs. Came with a low swinging race type pipe which is included and its bracket. Just not attached to bike. This Fuji 80cc engine is in real good shape as it starts well and shifts thru all the gears easily. The carb was just cleaned. This is a good engine. Tank is clean and not rusty inside and has small scratch/dent on left hand side. Fuel petcock is good and filter still intact. Seat is original with “RUPP” on the back and has small tear on right inside that I believe is repairable. Wheels, hubs and brakes all appear to be good and in working order and might clean up nice. Work fine. No cracks. Tires are like new with nubs on the side still but most likely not original as they are real nice. No cracks. Front forks are nice with minimal rust/pitting and seals and covers seem to be fine as there are no cracks or leaks. Things wrong: Needs clutch cable and cast nut that attaches pipe to ride. Nubs worn on the grips, missing rubber on kick start, needs idle screw, front fender has cracks but might be repairable (still all there). Rear fender was cracked at the end and I cut off the end. If painted would not be able to tell. The bike has the low swinging pipe which is in great condition but it is missing the large cast nut that attaches it to the engine.
