Up for auction from The Mustang Ranch in Golden, Colorado. This 1973 DeTomaso Pantera #THPNNJ05129 had a complete make over about 12 years and 5,000 miles ago. Starting with the motor rebuild by Daly Machine in Omaha Nebraska. 550 HP 388 Stroker 3 3/4 stroke 4.0 bore, Ross 9.75:1 pistons, Crower forged steel rods/ crank. Yates SVO cylinder heads ported/ flowed by Rod Sokolski (design engineer at Edelbrock) Ferrera stainless valves, Engle camshaft, roller rockers, double roller timing assembly, high volume oil pump, wind age tray, 10 quart Canton oil pan, Motorsport damper, aluminum flywheel, Mcleod performance clutch assembly, Edelbrock Victor series single plane intake manifold, MSD ignition/ rev limiter/ timing computer/ distributor/ coil, Stewart high flow Nascar water pump, Bob Blake pre paired 750 double pumper Holley carb, electric fuel pump, Motorsport single wire alternator, starter, Ansa GTS stainless headers/ exhaust and so much more. The transaxel was rebuilt by Woodhouse and has Pantera Performance hydraulic throw out bearing assembly and new drive axles. And the rear wheele housing carriers were upgraded to the tapered roller bearing assemblies. Additional items are 2 JAZ fuel cells, 17" Simmons wheels, 245/40/ZR17- 315/35/ZR17 Dunlop Sp Sport tires, JFZ 4 piston calipers, Coleman rotors, Pantera Performance Tilton Master cylinder/ brake booster, stainless braided brake and gas lines, Koni adjustable shocks, Pantera Performance sway bars/ bushings, Powder coated/ rebuilt upper and lower control arms, upper/ lower ball joints, rebuilt rack, rebuilt peddle assembly, Hall Pantera reinforce frame kit, European tail lights, hood vent kit, upgraded radiator/ fans/ tubes/ hoses/ clamps/ sensors, rebuilt door motors/ wiper/ headlight motors and so much more. There are just to many items to list but you get the idea, not much was left un touched! The interior had new carpet and re upholstered seats, stereo cassette, gauges, switches, Momo steering wheel, Simpson seat belts and more. All of the gauges work except for the tach. I was told that a wire at the MSD box was not hooked up. The head lights/ drivers- passengers windows go up and down as well as the wiper works. Turn signals, brake lights, horn, heater motor and electric fans all work. All of the ac equipment is under the dash but the new rotary pump was never installed. The motor starts right up no noises, smoke or leaks. The clutch and all forward/ reverse gears engage smoothly. I have had this Pantera up to speed and then some on the highway, the car runs out great! The Body is the original color redone in Blue, striped down to bare metal, epoxie primered and repainted/ wet sanded and polished. There is some small damage on the drivers rocker in the video as well as a couple of chips on the back of the car but for the most part the car is flawless! This car is clean with no rust or collision repair. Further inspection has shown there is no debris in the lower front/ rear control arm towers. I am selling this car for a client of mine and it is one of the most clean and sorted out Pantera's that has come through my shop. The car comes with the fiberglass in cert, new rear tires, ac pump, manuals, tool kit, new deck lid struts and some other miscellaneous stuff. You cannot build this car for what I am asking, not to mention the brain damage building one. I would suggest to have the car tuned and dynoed in your location for maximum performance. This 1973 L Pantera #THPNMT04987 had a repaint about 11 years ago. There is a small dent just behind the drivers door and on the back light panel. There is some small bubbling of paint on the roof the size of an eracer. But there is no rust popping through on the lower extremities of the body. Also some small chips/ scratches but nothing to talk about. The interior is all in tack but a little warn. Everything works wipers, head lights/ windows go up and down, All gauges work/ turn signals. The motor fires right up no noises, smoke or leaks. The transmission/ clutch engage smooth in all forward and reverse gears. The cooling system and fans work just fine. A year ago it had a tune up. Plugs, wires Mallory distributor, oil change, voltage regulator, starter solenoid, urethane sway bar bushings and new BFG Ta Radial tires 295-60-15 225-70-15. What the car does need is the air conditioning recharged, fan switch- fuse?, ac site glass replaced, rear brakes, emergency brake cable installed, wiper stud stripped (needs replacement) and yes of coarse a good cleaning and detail job. I have had this car out on the highway and she runs out fine. Good acceleration/ braking and steering as well. Up for auction from The Mustang Ranch in Golden, Colorado. This 1971 DeTomaso Pantera #THPNLS01834 underwent a restoration about 6 years ago. 28,000 miles, the original 351-C was rebuilt. Boar @ .030 flat top 10:1 pistons, performance camshaft, roller rockers, performance clutch assembly balanced and all new internal components. Big boar headers/ exhaust, aluminum manifold/ 750 Holley carb,polished valve covers, electronic ignition, water pump, fuel pump and all the other bolt on accessories. Many other parts and items have been rebuilt or replaced such as weather stripe kit, wiper motor, shift plate, front turn signal lenses, battery hold down kit, wheel centers, marker lights, fan/ window/ heater switches, headlight motor, brass window gears, rebuilt calipers/ brakes, ball joints, drive axles, polyurethane bushings, new fuel tank and so much more. As you can see the body and paint have been redone as well. there are a couple of small scratches and chips but nothing to talk about. There is NO rust or body damage popping through any where. All chrome and glass are in good condition. The car runs and drives great with the exception of these items. The car needs are the air conditioning recharged, drivers and passengers door adjusted, left rear wheel bearing replaced and the clutch adjusted. Thousands of dollars have been spent on this Pantera and will never be recovered. This 73 L Pantera under went a freshen up about 15 years ago. Repainted blue (original color white) and a lite motor, clutch/ suspension/ brake rebuild. Unfortunately I do not have an engine build sheet. She starts right up no smoke, noises or leaks. The clutch, forward and reverse gears engage smooth. When the original engine was rebuilt all of the bolt on accessories were replaced as well. Water pump, fuel pump/ filter, alternator, starter, motor mounts, belts hoses. Up grades are as follows. Edelbrock intake manifold with a Edelbrock carb. Re cored Pantera updated radiator (runs cool). Gts fender flairs, Michelin Pilot Sport tires mounted on Torino Wheels wich are like brand new! Rectangular head lights. Rear mount battery. Re moveable luggage rack. Ford electronic ignition system. There are a couple of chips and scratches/ dips that are hardly noticeable. There are no cracks in the flairs and the paint is in exceptional condition, It was a cut/ buff/ polish job. The under carriage is solid and shows no signs of collision or rust repair and has her original floor pans and frame rails. The engine bay spring/ shock towers are fine and show no rust or decay. Everything works, headlights/ windows go up and down, wipers, brake/ turn lights, current safety and registration all gauges and upholstery in great condition except the drivers seat belt does not retract and the door limiter hinge pin needs to be installed. The air conditioning is all hooked up and works but does not blow cold enough, it will need a recharge. The chrome, glass and trim are in great shape to, except the black trim/ front bumper should be masked off and repainted and a scratch on the passengers side windshield needs to be buffed out. I have had her up to speed and more on the highway. You can get in a lot of trouble in this car! More than anything it needs a good cleaning and detail job. Unfortunately I do not have an engine build sheet. She starts right up no smoke noises or leaks. The performance clutch, forward and reverse gears engage smooth. When the engine was rebuilt all of the bolt on accessories were replaced as well. Water pump, electric fuel pump/ filter, alternator, starter, motor mounts, belts hoses. There are lots of up grades on this car like the aluminum duel fan radiator, cooling tubes and over flow tanks. Big boar headers with Ansa exhaust. Edelbrock intake manifold with a 750 Holley carb. Mallory electronic ignition system. Wilwood calipers/ brakes, master and brake booster up grade, tapered bearing rear hub assembles, Koni coil over shocks, Gotti wheels Pirelli P-7 and Dunlop tires. Group 5 body kit installed and looks great, no cracks or separation. She is Black so she shows everything and the drivers fender is a little wavy up towards the windshield. There are a couple of chips and scratches but no rust popping through. The under carriage is solid no signs of collision or rust repair and has her origonal floor pans and frame rails. The engine bay spring/ shock towers are fine and show no rust or decay. Up for auction from The Mustang Ranch in Golden, Colorado. This 1972 Pantera has been driven occasionally in the last several years. The numbers matching 351-C was rebuilt about 7 years ago and has about 3,000 on the rebuild. All of the bolt on engine accessories were replaced as well as big boar headers/ mufflers, Edelbrock manifold/ 750 Holley carb at that time. The Motor starts right up great oil pressure, no noises, smoke or leaks. The clutch and Z-F 5 speed engage and shift smoothly through all of the gears. More recently the carburetor was rebuilt, new fuel pump, front brake caliper rebuild, engine bay paint freshen up and tune up was done. The tires are in still fairly new condition and I have run it up to speed and it runs great! There is a fiberglass trunk insert, front spoiler and roll bar that come with the car. At this time the roll bar is not bolted in. More than anything this Pantera needs a good cleaning and detail and what ever you want to do to make it your own. There is a little bit of rust on the passengers side starting to come through down by the "A" in the word Pantera and some in the lower right front corner of the front valance. There are some small chips and scraches in the paint but noting to talk about. The floor pans, frame rails and engine bay sheet metal are in great shape. There are no signs of collision on this car. 1971 Detomaso Pantera, second owner and 41,000 original miles. Adult driven and maintained. This car has less than 5000 miles on the rebuild of the motor and clutch. The motor was freshened up about 15 years ago buy the previous owner who was a meticulous stock car mechanic. It was also up graded with an Edelbrock intake manifold, 750 double pumper carb, big boar exhaust system and performance clutch. As far as I can tell it is original paint and interior. There is however rust popping through just behind the drivers / passengers side doors. Other than that just a little surface rust under the front nose. All frame rails, floor pans, rockers, engine bay control arm supports look great! There are some occasional chips/ scratches and one small dent (right rear quarter panel) but other than that this Pantera is a great driver. Head lights work, go up and down, power windows have been rebuilt, wipers, turn signals, brake lights all work. The ac is hooked up but needs a recharge. Pirelli P-7 tires (good shape) and 10 inch rear Camp's on the back. This is a car that more than anything needs a good cleaning and detail job. Here is what has been done to her. Body modifications- Group 4 fender flairs, group 5 air dam, hood vent kit, Vinolie side mirrors, 1/4 glass air scopes, deck lid spoiler, new Sicursiv windshield and bace coat clear coat paint job that was wet sanded buffed and polished (almost flawless). Suspension/ brake modifications- Campagnolo wheels, Pirelli P-7 tires, all 4 adjustable coil over shocks, new front upper and lower control arms with alignment ex centric, new rear upper control arms with alignment ex centric, new rear lower control arm bushings, new front and rear sway bar bushings, rebuilt rear hub assemblies with tapered roller bearings, and rebuilt front and rear brakes. Here are some items that need attention or need to be replaced. The radio does not work (fuse, power source, ground?) Ac needs to be charged, left rear tail lens is cracked, chip in right rear quarter panel where the deck lid meats the quarter, scratches in drivers and passengers glass, chip/ crack in paint right front lower air dam, small chip on passengers door edge, drivers window works but needs help going up and down, Hi beam headlights work but no low beam ( bad headlight, fuse, switch?) rear deck lid struts shot, passengers door closes hard (adjustment?) and mismatched seat belts. This is one of the most AWESOME EGO machines I have ever driven. She starts right up no noises, smoke or leaks.
