We built 2 early 60's Ducati Dirt Bikes at our shop Fuller Moto in Atlanta, GA over the last 3 years off and on. One of which "Super Duc" is for sale. I'm keeping the twin sister for my personal bike. I've ridden my version often, on and off road. Its turned out to be a fun, and reliable ride both on and off road. Its particularly adept at getting around the woods due to its FOX Shox rear suspension. Its been jumped 4 ft. in the air with no problems...drops down like a cushion! Amazing bike, you won't be sorry! Here's the story I wrote about the Duc's for Bike Exif ...go check it out: (Google Bike Exif Fuller Dirty Duc...Ebay won't let me add the hyperlink for some reason) The concept for the Dirty Duc came to me when I began looking for a dirt bike to ride on trails and get in and around Atlanta. Of course I could have bought a cheap, new or vintage bike, but at the time there really weren’t many custom dirt bikes out there. Besides, not building it myself just seemed like cheating, so instead I got to work on the idea. I found a lot of Choppers and Bobbers with dirt tires that were being built, but since I live in downtown Atlanta, I needed a more practical option that could do well both on pavement and dirt. I knew what I wanted, I just needed to find it. I got my lucky break a few years back while scouring the swap isles at the Barber Vintage Festival. There it was - a Ducati Scrambler. I couldn’t believe it! From the front it looked like a cheap Yamaha. It was worn out. The pipes were basically the same as we created out of Cone Engineering Stainless but not even close to salvageable. The bike had these fenders on it already, but controls were bent up and tires were gone. It had an aluminum tank but totally beat up. This was the bike I had dreamt of in my head! It just happened to be totally destroyed. My immediate goal was to take this cute little Scrambler and stuff a hot Desmo motor inside it. It sounded like a good plan to me, so I called the number listed on the sticker and waited for the owner to meet me at the bike. He said it ran, which was total BS since this was no fuel lines or wires attached that I could see anywhere. I didn’t care though. This bike was going to be mine. To add to my luck, I also happened to have $1200 cash in my pocket from selling t-shirts that day, so I struck the deal. If you are going to ride trails, I believe that it’s more fun to go in pairs. So I decided to build not just one, but two Dirty Ducs. Good thing I know Rich Lambrechts at DesmoPro! Rich is one of the premier Bevel Drive Ducati builders with lots of experience and spare parts. Rich is a true master of his craft. Together over the Christmas Holiday, we decided to tackle both 250cc single cylinder builds (and my round case 750 twin). Luckily his wife Vicki Smith loves Ducatis too so she was okay with us spending six days of intensive work. Old Ducatis are like watches - when set up right they tick at a perfect time. Firstly, they have roller bearing cranks that need to be shimmed perfectly between the split cases. Then you install the timing chest and transmission gears that also get shimmed to tolerances usually near zero. Next the piston slides into the cylinder and a dry run is done on the head and bevel gears to make sure they mesh perfectly. Each time, this process is done with shims Rich has collected over the years, even gasket squish is taken into consideration. My role of course was general excitement and help with polishing, ARP fastener replacement duties, coffee infusion, food procurement, and alarm clock. After six days, all of the motors performed flawlessly! I happily headed home to Atlanta. I arrived four days later than I promised my wife, and I missed New Years. Whoops! Luckily she forgave me. But no matter how much heat I got, it was totally worth it. I was going to have my dream dirt bike. Too bad it was going to have to wait behind a lot of customer projects. A year goes by and finally we get to building the early 60’s Scramblers that I had in my vision. First, we lengthened the swing arm a couple of inches. This allowed us to fit the custom valved Fox Shox and get maximum travel; there’s about 8” of rear travel. The twin shocks work perfect. I looked at modern bikes and we custom made chain guides in case you hit something while trail riding. There is also a little chain runner on the frame under the swing arm pivot that keeps slack to a minimum. The whole vision was modern stance and suspension travel with real vintage Italian parts that would have set an extremely high standard back in the day. Front forks are magnesium with Ceriani Triple trees, Tomaselli hand controls,Borrani Rims, and Superpractic throttle. Thank you Rich! The Dirty Ducs still need a snorkel and removable rear mud guard for real muddy riding days. We did a shop day at DurhamTown Park to have some fun. The bike jumped perfect, ran great, but got soaked with mud and water. My entire back was covered and the intake was getting water in all the time. Soon, we’ll finish these up with powder coat, paint, and stripes when time allows. One of the Ducs is for sale and the other is going to remain my personal rider. Unlike beefy muscle cars or slick sports cars, which are designed with varying degrees of built in homogeny that appeals to a wide variety of buyers, street rods are built around the two main cornerstones of every car enthusiast's psyche: GOING FAST and LOOKING GOOD. Not surprisingly, cars like this sinister 1941 Willys coupe are some of our most popular offerings; and in the last six months, we've sold FOUR high dollar Willys to four very satisfied owners! So, if you're the kind of buyer who is ready to go big and drop jaws, this sinister red coupe is just the car you've been looking for. But don't hesitate to pull the trigger, because if our sold inventory is any indication, history does repeat itself! BODYWORK/TRIM For over 25 years, Outlaw Performance in Avonmore, Pennsylvania has been a leading supplier of custom fiberglass bodies, and this spectacular '41 Willys coupe is a testament to just how well they've honed their craft. Purchased as one of their full body and chassis packages, it benefits from a hand-laminated, one piece construction technique which combines an embedded Poplar floorpan with a sturdy, unitized steel structure. Once that structure was in place, and the surrounding resin was completely dry, the body was carefully shipped to a small shop by the name of Rod Crafters in Welcome, North Carolina to receive a complete top to bottom shakedown. The build began with a highly detailed prep process that massaged all the cars fiberglass into a slick canvas which perfectly complements its exceptional build quality. Then a thick coat of PPG Fire Engine Red urethane was professionally applied under a sinister set of silver ghost flames. And finally, every panel was sealed in a glossy clearcoat shell that has been wet sanded and buffed to a fantastic shine. Today, with super smooth surfaces, exceptionally narrow gaps and solid sealing moving parts, this evil looking Willys coupe is a badass combination of hair raising performance and sizzling good looks! It's hard to find any well-done '41 Willys coupe that doesn't turn heads and inspire stares. But this car, with its excellent stance, hot rod paint job and simple, but professionally executed details, blows the conservative look of most 'once in a lifetime builds' right out of the water! Up front, a fresh chrome grille is centered between original style chrome trimmed halogen headlights. At the top of the car, a contoured hood, which fits around the big engine's shotgun hood scoop like a well-tailored glove, leads the eye to a full array of smoked glass that is sealed in fresh black weatherstripping. At the sides of the car, polished side-exit exhaust pipes look almost as good as they sound. And out back, a flush mounted LED tail light and a manually retractable license plate add a healthy dose of modern function to some of the best automotive form ever created. There's certainly no mistaking a Willys. And this coupe, with its great combination of superb craftsmanship and hot rod attitude, is the very definition of a street rod dream machine. ENGINE Though it manages to present a relatively simple and attractive appearance on the outside, everything about this super cool Willys is big; big time, big budget, big labor, and big appeal! Nowhere is that theme more evident than under the fiberglass hood where you'll find a completely detailed 502 cubic inch Jack Sprague sourced V8 that makes roughly 800 horsepower. At the top of that big engine, a pair of chrome Holley 4-barrel carburetors mix air from a polished shotgun intake with a steady stream of 100 octane racing fuel which travels through pristine stainless fuel lines that are equipped with a chrome Holley fuel pressure gauge. At the base of those carburetors, a chrome Weiand 8-71 blower sits between polished aluminum heads that are fitted with high quality chrome valve covers, and an MSD billet distributor that's fitted with Taylor premium plug wires. Cooling is provided by a heavy duty radiator which is sandwiched between a chrome cowl cover, chrome water tubes, dual nine inch pusher fans and a large diameter puller fan. Exhaust is handled by a pair of ceramic coated long tube headers which look great next to the big silver block. And charging is provided by a chrome alternator that, along with a chrome AC compressor and a polished water pump, spins between a nice set of chrome pulleys and sturdy chrome brackets. Aesthetically, this Willys tight engine bay is a virtually flawless piece of street rod art that literally contains no unfinished or un-plated pieces from its polished hood and chrome Tilton Engineering master cylinder to its chrome oil pan and braided hoses. And it displays a first-rate level of workmanship which requires multiple looks in order to really appreciate the car's high level of detail. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Behind that killer big block engine, a new Tilton Engineering hydraulic clutch engages a new Richmond 5-speed transmission which, like the motor itself, was sourced from Jack Sprague. Power from that proven transmission flows to a Ford nine inch rear end which spins tall 3.72 gears inside of a high performance Richard Childress Racing center section. That first class drivetrain is held off the ground by a boxed Outlaw chassis which, along with the suspension, has been bathed in a pleasant shade of gray paint that provides a perfect contrast to the car's Fire Engine Red floors. And speaking of suspension, the front of the car utilizes a familiar Mustang II set up that's equipped with traditional manual steering and modern coil over shocks to provide a pleasant ride with a vintage feel. And the back of the car combines a traditional four link system with two more modern coil over shocks to provide drag strip worthy launches. Serious stops to counter the car's serious power are provided by a four wheel disc brake system which is equipped with a brake proportioning valve, drilled and slotted front rotors and braided brake lines. Exhaust duties are handled by neatly packaged stainless side pipes which growl through high quality Dynatech high flow race mufflers. And keeping all this muscle rolling down the road is a slick set of 15 inch polished aluminum Billet Specialties wheels which wear 26x7.50 Hoosier Pro Street radials up front and 33x21.50 Hoosier Pro Street radials in the rear. With a beefy drivetrain that's been reliably built to be both tough and fun to drive, this '41 Willys is the real deal. And with its clean floors and super impressive hardware, it will fare well at any show you chose to attend! INTERIOR Naturally, no expense was spared on bringing this cars cozy cabin up to par with the rest of the build. The custom tan leather interior looks fantastic; and its fully power adjustable Corvette seats are comfortable, stylish and safe thanks to a sturdy pair of Simpson race harnesses. At the front of the car, a Fire Engine Red dash centers an MP3 compatible, and satellite capable, Pioneer CD player between slick, black-faced Classic Instruments gauges and hidden billet knobs that operate the cars accessories. Below that dash a Fire Engine Red console, which flows from the front of the cockpit to the front of the seats, props a billet control panel for the cars Vintage Air climate system and chrome switches for the cars power windows in front of a brake bias controller and a standard chrome shifter that is complete with a wicked skull shift knob. Below that console like-new tan carpet, which is protected by thick, color keyed floor mats, rides under a chrome emergency brake handle and chrome Tilton Engineering foot pedals. At the sides of that console, custom leather door panels hang stylish chrome door handles above sculpting which loosely mirrors the cars sinuous profile. And above that console, a custom tan headliner stretches from a leather wrapped windshield frame and a billet rearview mirror to custom rear panels which hang over a small, leather lined storage area. In front of the driver, a polished tilt steering column spins a leather wrapped, polished aluminum steering wheel. At the sides of the driver, a six point, body matched and leather wrapped roll cage ensures maximum safety should the car ever feel the need to become acrobatic. And behind the driver, a professionally finished trunk hangs a polished decklid over a leather wrapped fuel tank and a small carpeted cargo area. Included with the sale of this awesome Willys street rod is a small binder of build receipts. Few cars can truly back up their looks with astounding performance, but this Willys definitely has what it takes. Now is your chance to benefit from someone else's hard work and put a killer street rod in your garage for a fraction of its construction cost. No need to wait two years for it to be finished, this Willys is a powerful and fun bruiser that's ready to rock and roll the second it rolls out of our showroom. Unlike muscle cars and sports cars, which are somewhat homogenous, custom cars are created around the cornerstones of a true enthusiast's psyche: GO FAST and LOOK GOOD. And when you build a classic around those two principles, you either go big or go home. With a big engine, big tires, big comfort and big looks, this killer Willys LIVES that motto. And if you're the kind of buyer who's ready to slay strips and drop jaws, it's the gleaming thrill ride you've been waiting for! BODYWORK/TRIM For over 25 years Outlaw Performance of Avonmore, Pennsylvania has been a leading supplier of custom fiberglass bodies, and this spectacular coupe is a testament to just how well they've honed their craft. Purchased as one of their full body and chassis packages, the car benefits from a hand-laminated, 1-piece construction technique that combines an embedded Poplar floorpan with a sturdy, unitized steel structure. Take a look at our high-resolution photos and you'll see that every panel is as flat as Kansas, with a shine that's only found on 6-figure hot rods. That shine comes courtesy of a custom coat of bright red paint. And that impressive paint is sealed under a glossy layer of clear. It's hard to find any well-done classic that doesn't turn heads and inspire stares. But this car, with its excellent stance, sublime paint and well-planned detailing, is guaranteed to be a standout! When you build a stunning, ground-hugging street rod, it doesn't take much to make the car pop. That's why professional customs like this fully sorted coupe feature just enough high quality bolt-ons to create a classy and timeless appearance. At the front of the car, an electronically actuated hood centers a polished shotgun intake above a polished grille and two original-style headlights. Behind that hood, smoked glass rides inside shaved doors and small, billet wipers. Behind that glass, a shaved trunk pops over flush-fit, LED taillights. And overall, the car is a simple, smooth classic that carries the true hallmarks of enduring design. ENGINE One thing you won't have to worry about in this Willys is power. Thanks to a supercharged, 383 cubic inch small block this sleek coupe is more than just some pretty parking lot poseur! At the top of the impressive mill, a pair of 750cfm Quick Fuel Technology 4-barrels mixes air from a polished intake with a steady stream of dinosaurs that's supplied by stainless lines and braided AN hoses. At the base of those carburetors, a polished Dyers 6-71 supercharger rides between polished breathers and polished, "CHEVROLET" branded valve covers. At the back of that blower, an aftermarket distributor shoots spark through proven MSD plug wires, which snake around 10 to 1 pistons, a Comp hydraulic roller cam and Summit Motorsports heads. Cooling is provided by a small aluminum radiator, which is strung in front of large SPAL puller fans. Exhaust travels through coated long-tube headers, which look great next to the block's bright red paint. Charge comes courtesy of a small alternator that, along with an aluminum water pump, spins on an array of billet hardware. And overall, the car displays a first-rate level of workmanship that conveys a high quality, tailored demeanor. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Behind that fire-breathing engine, a Muncie-style 4-speed, built to withstand 800 horsepower, twists torque through a vented 9-inch Currie to big, 4.32 gears. That first class drivetrain is held off the ground by a sturdy Outlaw Performance chassis, which is bathed in the same red hue as the car's smooth body. At the front of that chassis, modern tubular control arms utilize beefy coil-overs and quick rack-and-pinion steering to mix a pleasant ride with vintage feel. At the back of the chassis, a proven 4-link set-up utilizes two more coil-overs to provide drag strip-worthy launches. Serious stops counter the car's serious speed via 4-wheel disc brakes. Exhaust duties are handled by wrapped and squared side-pipes. And keeping all this muscle rolling down the road is a slick set of Weld Racing Draglites, which spin 26x6.00R15 Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/Rs in front of 31x18.00R15 Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/Rs. With its body-matched floors and rugged stainless hardware, this Willys is the real deal. And with ancillaries like an Engine Works starter, a Milodon oil pan, Aeromotive fuel components and a 20-gallon fuel tank, it'll fare well on any pavement you chose to scorch! INTERIOR Pop the car's lightweight doors and you'll reveal a custom-tailored cabin that makes good use of black leather. Modern bucket seats are clean and comfortable. Red-lit Auto Meter Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite telemetry illuminates the body-matched dash. A custom, full-length console bridges the gap between carefully upholstered speakers, a traditional Hurst shifter and a remote controlled Kenwood Excelon CD player. Billet door pulls and small accessory switches, no doubt to control power windows and power door locks, detail completely custom side panels. Premium carpet frames billet foot pedals opposite a leather headliner, which frames a polished rearview mirror. The primary controls, a polished, half-wrapped wheel and a polished, tilting column, make it very easy to get very comfortable. And a fully upholstered trunk rounds out a very nice build. Here's your chance to benefit from someone else's hard work. This super cool Willys is a powerful and fun bruiser that combines top-notch craftsmanship with lights out performance. [email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1941 Willys Coupe Frame Off Built Coupe 502 V8/502 HP 700R4 4 Speed Automatic Strange FAB9 PS A/C Year: 1941 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Silver Mileage: 1289 Transmission type: 4 Speed Automatic Engine: 502 V8 Interior color: Red Vehicle Info Like fashion, the collector car market is cyclical. And, like fashion staples, there are some cars that never go out of style. For instance, you just can't go wrong with a comfortable pair of jeans. Likewise, you'll always be admired when you pull up in a ground-pounding Willys. Back in 1941, at a small automaker that was about to go through its second bankruptcy, no one would have guessed that, 71 years later, we'd think a striking silver Americar is one of the coolest street rods we've ever seen. But alas, great design endures. And when great design is mixed with modern technology, it's a sure-fire bet for success! Featuring an impressive roster of components, a supple leather interior and a 502 cubic inch big block V8, this head-turning custom is poised to draw big attention and take home very big trophies. It's also completely sorted, scary fast and amazingly comfortable. Forget all that nonsensical talk about boring coupes and trendy roadsters owning the next cruise season, this first class Willys is your go-to piece for stopping the show! For over 25 years Outlaw Performance of Avonmore, Pennsylvania has been a leading supplier of custom fiberglass bodies, and this spectacular coupe is a testament to just how well they've honed their craft. Purchased as one of their full body and chassis packages, the car benefits from a hand-laminated, one piece construction technique that combines an embedded Poplar floorpan with a sturdy, unitized steel structure. Take a look at our high resolution photos and you'll see that every panel is as flat as Kansas, with a shine that's only found on six-figure hot rods. That shine comes courtesy of a radiant coat of House of Kolor Mercedes Silver candy. And that impressive paint is accented by a dynamic array of Wade Hughes' reverse flames. It's hard to find any well-done street rod that doesn't turn heads and inspire stares. But this car, with its excellent stance, sublime paint and well-planned detailing, makes most custom builds seem amateur and second-rate. When you build a stunning, ground-hugging Willys, it doesn't take much to make the car pop. That's why professional customs like this fully sorted Outlaw feature just enough high quality bolt-ons to create a classy and timeless appearance. At the front of the car, a contoured hood rides above a polished grille and two original-style headlights. Behind that hood, lightly smoked glass and remote power windows sit between stylish, polished mirrors. At the sides of that glass, remote doors hang shaved handles behind tough aluminum hinges. Behind those doors, a remote trunk, custom tail lights and retractable license plate add a healthy dose of function to some of the best automotive form ever created. And overall, this coupe is simple, smooth and classic, carrying the true hallmarks of enduring design. One thing you won't have to worry about in this Willys is power. Thanks to a 502 cubic inch V8 that's been balanced and blueprinted to 502 horsepower, this sleek street rod is more than just a pretty parking lot poseur! At the top of the world class mill, a chrome carburetor mixes air from a polished cleaner with a steady stream of high octane dinosaurs that travels through polished lines and a polished canister filter. At the base of that carburetor, a chromed intake rides between familiar aluminum heads that anchor polished valve covers under a combination of polished and chromed breathers. At the back of those heads, an MSD Pro-Billet distributor sequences fire through loomed Taylor plug wires. Cooling is provided by a coated water pump, which is aligned behind an electric puller fan, a triple-pass radiator, a chrome corrugated hose and an electric pusher fan. And exhaust is handled by a pair of ceramic coated block huggers, which look great next to the motor's bright red skin. Naturally, this Willys clean engine bay is a sea of first rate hardware, from its chrome mini starter and braided coolant lines all the way to its polished accessory drive and Willys branded cowl. And overall, the car displays a first-rate level of workmanship that conveys a quality, tailored demeanor. Behind that professionally built engine, a modern 700R4 4-speed twists torque through a 2,800 RPM stall converter to a Strange FAB9 and big, 3.73 gears. That first class drivetrain is held off the ground by a custom, square-tube chassis, which is bathed in a smooth layer of Mercedes Silver paint. At the front of that chassis, a polished Heidts suspension, which is equipped with modern rack and pinion steering and individually controlled air shocks, mixes pleasant rides with vintage feel. At the back of the chassis, a polished 4-link suspension utilizes two more individually controlled air shocks to provide drag strip worthy launches. Serious stops counter the car's serious speed via a power-assisted Wilwood set up that wraps polished calipers around drilled and slotted rotors. Exhaust duties are handled by 3-inch, Jet-Hot coated pipes that growl through polished Borla mufflers. And keeping all this muscle rolling down the road is a slick set of polished Budnik Gassers which spin 25x7.50R15 Hoosier Pro Streets in front of 31x16.50R17 Hoosier Pro Streets. With a beefy drivetrain that's been reliably built to be both tough and fun to drive, this '41 Willys is the real deal. And with its clean floors and super impressive hardware, it'll fare well at any show you chose to attend! Pop the car's lightweight doors and you'll reveal a custom-tailored cabin that was installed by Shannon Walters of Interiors by Shannon. Featuring a stylish combination of glossy paint and supple leather hides, it's the kind of space you just won't want to leave. Traditional bucket seats are coddled by color-keyed belts. Auto Meter supplied the sporty looking gauges, which are arrayed across a red and silver dash. A custom console hangs a Vintage Air climate system in front of a Lokar shifter, power window switches and controls for the aforementioned air ride. Billet door handles detail completely custom side panels. The primary controls, a polished and wrapped wheel, billet pedals and a painted tilt steering column, make it very easy to get very comfortable. A shaved and upholstered trunk saves a little space for car show essentials. And items like hidden speakers, a billet mirror and a remote controlled JVC head unit round out a very nice build. The sale of this classy custom includes receipts, show pictures, a copy of the car's feature in the 2012 Goodguys yearbook, and two pictures posed with former owner Paul Teutul Sr. The Willys is an icon, no doubt about that. And this fully sorted Americar puts a highly unique spin on a very familiar face. The car's workmanship is outstanding, and I can't imagine what it would cost to build something like this from the ground up. If you're looking for a fully-sorted bruiser that's blindingly fast and aesthetically exhilarating, come in and claim your next hot rod! 1974 Kelmark GT 1 Mark III 1 of 10 Factory Built - Only Known One Left! ......please be patient while the many photos load..... Well documented and built American supercar representing an important era in the seventies American hot rod industry. The KELMARK GT 1 MK III is a purpose built tube framed 2500lb car, one piece fiberglass body and an offset mid mounted 400+ hp 327ci and IRS trans axle. According to the Kelmark registry this is the only remaining 1974 Kelmark GT 1 Mark III. This was the tenth built by Kelmark Engineering, Inc. This Kelmark GT 1 MARK III was discovered after being stored for more than 20 years by the manufactures representative and underwent a complete professional restoration/update. There is less than 20K original miles on the car in total less than 100 miles on recent $70,000 restoration. This particular Kelmark GT 1 MK III was one of the last one produced by Kelmark Engineering before they were sold to Molded Plastic Industries. The body was specially manufactured with twice the thickness of any other they ever produced. This car has a specially built frame that incorporated a roll bar and integral dual fuel tanks. A pinnacle super car in the seventies and would be a worthwhile addition to any collection. The styling was inspired by the Ferrari 206 Dino GT, combining the lines of the Dino with the Astro II XP-880 Mid Engine 1968 Corvette concept car. The Kelmark garnered much positive attention. Car & Driver Magazine, May 1978 said "Fastest documented speed ever attained by a street machine". In a 1977 Car Craft Magazine: "Undoubtedly the closest thing to a street driven Can Am car on the road today." The Kelmark GT compared to the Ferrari Dino, weighted less, had twice the HP, cost twice as much at over $20k and is considerably more unique as all were custom built. Includes some excellent features such as DOT rated Roll-up Driver and passenger glass side windows with DOT rated windshield and rear window; "Gurney Built" Carbon/Kevlar Seats developed by All American Racers from the 1993 Toyota GTP Car driven by JUAN MANUEL FANGIO II. They are adjustable and removable built to fit a driver over 6ft tall with helmet under 220lbs. Has the coveted SPCNS California smog exempt title and "RARE RCR" custom license plates available to California buyers. See the build sheet below and give me a call if you wish. This 2014 350 XC-F has been a dealership demo for the past few months and ridden by one of our retired Air Force buddies for about four races in the +40 B class of the recently completed Texas State Enduro Championship circuit. He ran a Rekluse clutch which has been removed and replaced with the factory original clutch and clutch cover. This bike is in great condition, has a flashy look with the custom graphics and really has very little wear. The rear fender has a scratch and that is the most noticeable item. [email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1941 Willys Coupe Blown Willys Outlaw Coupe 502 Dual Quad 5 Speed Manual Year: 1941 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Red Mileage: 1055 Transmission type: 5 Speed Manual Engine: 502 V8 Interior color: Tan Vehicle info It's always fun to see top notch street rods come through our showroom here at RK Motors Charlotte. For over 25 years, Outlaw Performance in Avonmore, Pennsylvania has been a leading supplier of custom fiberglass bodies, and this spectacular '41 Willys coupe is a testament to just how well they've honed their craft. Though it manages to present a relatively simple and attractive appearance on the outside, everything about this super cool Willys is big; big time, big budget, big labor, and big appeal! Behind that killer big block engine, a new Tilton Engineering hydraulic clutch engages a new Richmond 5-speed transmission which, like the motor itself, was sourced from Jack Sprague. Naturally, no expense was spared on bringing this cars cozy cabin up to par with the rest of the build. [email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1941 Willys Coupe Frame Off Built Willys Coupe Supercharged Dual Quad 502 Year: 1941 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Blue Mileage: 248 Transmission type: 3 Speed Automatic Engine: 502 V8 Interior color: Black Vehicle info Shy of a '32 Ford, few cars can claim the hot-rodding history of the 1941-1942 Willys. It's a car so popular that, even today, the competition to create the World's Wildest Willys continues. Visually, this 1941 coupe is a contender for that title. Its radiant color, ground-pounding stance, and utterly massive wheels give it the proportions of a Hot Wheels car while the powertrain, lead by a blown 502ci V8, makes sure performance is every bit as impressive. Factor in the amenity-filled leather interior and it becomes clear that this coupe is the total package. Completed in 2012 and driven only 190 miles since, this is a trophy case waiting to happen - all it needs is someone to show it. If this sounds like a job you'd like to fill, take a minute to get the details on this sharp 1941 Willys. For over 25 years, Outlaw Performance in Avonmore, Pennsylvania has been a leading supplier of custom fiberglass bodies and this spectacular coupe is a testament to just how well they've honed their craft. Purchased as one of their full body and chassis packages, the car benefits from a hand-laminated, one piece construction technique which combines an embedded Poplar floor pan with a sturdy, unitized steel structure. The outermost layer has been shot with a radiant coat of Candy Blue Metallic from the House of Kolors line. In a world of red, yellow, and orange Willys, blue is a strong choice and one that, when placed in direct sunlight, will make a lasting impression on anyone lucky enough to see the car. The impressive paintwork is accented by hand-painted black, gray, and white pinstripes that form a grid pattern just behind the doors. When the subject is a bright-blue ground-hugging Willys, it doesn't take much ornamentation to make the car pop; so what you'll find are just enough high-quality pieces to finish the car without weighing down the classic design. The front view consists of a bright stainless grille that sits between a pair of round headlights in bright chrome bezels. The greenhouse offers new tinted glass and weather-stripping while sleek painted mirrors cap off the A-pillars. Thanks to shaved door handles, a distinct lack of brightwork or badges, the side profile presents as an ultra-clean look that works perfectly with the paintwork. The rear view begins with the classic split rear widow mounted above a smoothed decklid with no visible hardware. A pair of small round taillights in chrome bezels provide all the lighting needed while, below, a hideaway license plate frame keeps things legal. It just wouldn't be a modern Willys build without a big block bulging through the hood. This coupe delivers on that front with a blown 502ci V8 fully dressed for show. The foundation is a GM Performance crate engine dressed in orange and topped with a small mountain of go-fast goodies. Cast iron heads sit to the sides of a polished Weiand 6-71 supercharger topped with dual Edelbrock four-barrel carburetors and a chrome shotgun intake. Real estate is limited at the front of the engine, but the accessory drive still manages to turn an aluminum water pump and chrome alternator via polished pulleys. The big block keeps its cool thanks to a four-core aluminum radiator that's aided by dual electric cooling fans. Turn the key and a Summit Hi-Fire HEI ignition transmits spark through bright Accel wires. Spent gases exit through ceramic coated shorty headers that flow into a stainless dual exhaust system rounded out by Borla mufflers. Other notable items include the mini-starter, aluminum fuel cell, and electric fuel pump. Sure, it's a great looking bay but don't mistake it for a show piece. This is the real deal. Take a look under this Willys to find a chassis fully prepared to utilize big block power. Things get started with an Outlaw 2x4 box tube chassis which has been outfitted with a Heidts Mustang II front clip. Suspension consists of tubular A-arms, a Competition Engineering adjustable 4-link, and adjustable coilovers all around. In the center of that modern hardware, a tried and true TH400 3-speed automatic transmission handles shifting duties. A finned chrome transmission pan and converter cover have been added for looks while an electric cooling fan keeps temperatures in spec. Power meets the ground through a cast aluminum Currie 9-inch center section stocked with posi and 4.10 gears. A manual rack and pinion keeps steering direct while the power-assisted brakes utilize slotted and drilled rotors, four-piston Wilwood calipers, and steel braided lines all around. A huge part of the car's visual appeal comes from the unique wheel and tire package which consists of 18 and 20-inch Mickey Thompson HR-1 wheels wrapped in 26x8.00R18LT tires up front and massive 33x22.00R20LT rears. If the numbers aren't clear, those back wheels are 16 inches wide. Wow. At first glace, the interior presents itself as a fairly straightforward affair but that first impression is deceiving. Work starts at the ground level where polished door sill plates anchor fresh black carpet. Seating is provided by a pair of Procar bucket seats wrapped in black Ultraleather while the door panels are finished to match with tasteful stainless steel inserts in the center. A custom center console makes room for the pistol-gripped Procomp Street Bandit shifter as well as controls for the fuel pump and electric fans. There's no lack of entertainment here either. A Pioneer AM/FM/CD/DVD head unit with a 7-inch touch screen, Bluetooth connectivity, and integrated navigation has also been fitted into the console. Hop into the driver seat to admire the gauge layout filled with crisp black, blue, and aluminum Stewart Warner gauges that monitor all the usual engine vitals. Control over the front wheels comes courtesy of a leather-wrapped, three-spoke billet steering wheel that tops a polished tilt column while chrome-trimmed pedals make sure all the details are in place. The trunk is finished in matching black carpet that does a good job of concealing the fuel tank and wheel tubs below. As mentioned, the car was completed in 2012 so everything you see is fresh. If there are questions about any of the components used, the stack of build receipts and component manuals included in the sale offers all of the answers at a glance. With its Candy Blue Metallic paint, ultra-low ride height, massive wheels, and polished shotgun intake on display, this car is a visual one-two punch sure to gain fans at any event it enters. Best of all, it backs those looks up with a serious powertrain ready to rumble at the turn of a key. If you've been entertaining the idea of building a Willys, save yourself a calendar year and take home this killer coupe today!
