For sale to serious buyers or collectors, a custom built, street legal, drag bike that was built for S&S’ 50th anniversary. This bike is the namesake of our shop and was inspired back in 2007. I had wanted to build the ultimate street fighter and plans were in the works in 2007 to design the frame with Skeeter Todd of Rolling Thunder and OCC. Its name came during the design phase as Skeeter said he would use heavier and thicker walled tubing since I was known to ride a “Lil Evil”. The frame is a “One-Off” Rolling Thunder Rigid with a 3.5” backbone stretch and another 2.5” tail section stretch to keep it proportionate. It has a hand built, High Compression 117” Evo that is Diamond Cut and makes big power utilizing Large Valves, Bored Single G carb with a Thunderjet. S&S Race Clutch and Billet Primary and an S&S Helical Cut 6 Speed Transmission with Pingel Electric Shifter. I incorporated a Buell XB12R Front end, Gauges, Fairing, wheels and brakes. Paint was done by Doug Wozney of Dougz Custom Paint & Fabrication in LaCrosse, WI. One of the 50 Featured Bikes Built for the S&S 50th Anniversary Celebration in La Crosse WI in 2008. Each of the 50 Builders were given an S&S power plant to build around and showcase the history of S&S Cycle, Inc. Needless to say, I was honored to be included amongst the heavy hitters, Guys I consider to be my mentors and given to opportunity to show my talents. This bike was shot in Sturgis immediately following the S&S 50th and I was asked to enter it in the AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building that same year. Again, honored to be invited to show my work in the highest possible level and with some of the world’s greatest talent. 2009, Sturgis: AHDRA Shootout: Number 1 Qualifier and fastest E.T. of the week in the Street Pro Class. We have campaigned it locally but with the shop, we have never had the time or money to take a run at an AHDRA National Championship with it based on time away. My best 1/4 mile pass on this bike is a 9.98 which allowed me to be one of the few to achieve the 9 Second, 10 Second and 11 Second Cub Membership with S&S Cycle, Inc. This was all done on a street tire with no wheelie bar and the bike is completely street legal and licensed. I have ridden it in Daytona, Sturgis and locally to include a 130 mile day on the Ronald McDonald Charity Ride. SPECS: This is a Custom built sportbike 1/1 The whole concept behind this build was to bring simplicity to an extremely complicated bike. For starters, the braking and suspension system: Braking: The tokiko 6 piston calipers (a true nightmare if not rebuilt properly) have been taken apart, the chambers honed, pistons polished on the lathe and seals replaced, result = one finger stoppies.New wavy rotors installed in place of the old OEM ones and new pads The front forks have been rebuild with better springs and sealsIn the Rear, the over engineered rotary damper and spring (the infamous rotary damper i should say) was thrown in the trash followed by a brief celebration in the shop.I'm still wondering what Suzuki's engineers were thinking when they came up with that thing. In its place, we installed a modern fully adjustable rear shock that does the job at ¼ of the weight of the OEM setup. Frame: The OEM subframe was discarded in favor of a custom built one. GSXR Gas tank and Custom tail section: Adapting a gas tank meant to gravity feed carburetors to work with a fuel injection motorcycle wasn't exactly a piece of cake, after a few days in the work i managed to make everything work like it came from the factory. The tail section was handmade with fiberglass, gel coated and painted The whole new Gas tank / tail section setup was engineered in a way that can be taken apart without tools for a super fast maintenance. The wiring was simplified where possible, and relocated within the frame lines (between gas tank and motor) exception made for the ecu, positioned as far away as possible from heating sources. The Numbers:Originally known as an incredibly heavy sportbike228Kg /503lbs wet,Producing 135HP (120 hp of which at the wheel)with a power to weight ratio of 0.53hp/kg after the “treatment” the ALPHAMILLE finally feels like the type of bike that you can really squeeze all the potential out of. After scoring a WET weight of only 420lbs (190kg) over 80 lbs lighter than stock and a Dry weight of 390lbs (176kg) this bike now places itself amongst the lightest production sportbikes available on the market even compared to newer models. There are margins of improvements available regarding the weight.It wouldn't be too hard to get into the 400 lbs Wet by installing lighter wheels, 520 chain, removing the lower radiator. Based on the actual power to the wheel 120 hp and wet weight a stock TL1000R hada power / weight ratio = 0.52 Hp/Kg Thanks to a custom fuel mapping the motor power output increased to 125 WHP that along with the enormous weight loss we were able to achieve aNEW power / weight ratio = 0.65 Hp/Kg An outstanding 23% improvementThat's equivalent of adding 30hp at the wheel on a stock TLR The bike's loud, rumbles as you'd expect from a V-twin without cans. Below is the write-up from when it was featured recently under the Pro-Build section of Bonnefication: Riding a motorcycle is a hell of a lot of fun, it can also be pretty dangerous. We are all aware of the generally sloppy, half awake, lemming, baby brained and damn right stupid drivers that habit the roads. Well the chaps at Putsch Racing have come up with a motorcycle and a Triumph at, which may… sorry will make other road users respect you as a motorcyclist and pretty much avoid you at all costs. Based in Dublin, Ohio, Putsch Racing have built the ultimate Steampunk motorcycle. With this baby you can patrol the roads and motorways near you jut like Manfred von Richthofen aka the Red Baron. Fitted with Browning .30 caliber machine guns and sights from a WWI Sopwith Pup, the rider of this Triumph will be the King or perhaps that should be the ‘Baron’ of the road. Other road users will be looking into the sun with squinted eyes, much like pilots of old, praying that the enemy is not bearing down on them with Brownings blazing. Though one slight turn of the forks the rider may just shoot out his own front wheel…messy and perhaps a little embarrassing. The machine guns are operational, though they only fire blanks. The concussion and muzzle flash is just as it would be as if they were firing live rounds, but the guns are really utilising an on-board system of compressed oxygen and propane controlled by computer through electronic solenoids and ignited in a combustion chamber. Like the planes of the past the rider/pilot of the Aristo-cad, will need to check his speed, on this occasion using a classically styled chronometric tachometer by the german company Motogadget. He may also need to keep an eye on time and what would be more fitting than a Tiffany, Porcelain Faced Hunter Cased pocket watch which hides under a protective cover with viewing window, which has then been fitted to the Triumph top yoke. As any Ace knows their may be the odd occasion when the Brownings are no longer a practical deterrent. To help the rider cope with these situation, such as stopping for a pee or petrol, the bike has been fitted with a pair of brass handled Fairbairn-Sykes styled Commando knives, which are held in place by brass riveted black leather sheaths and mounted to the tank with straps. Other details on the The Aristo-cad are numerous and range from the English number plate to the machine turned mechanical oil pressure gauge and the hand-aged leather of the seat and tool bag. These have been aged with a combination of jet turbine oil and trade secrete blends. This Triumph engine retains it’s street drivability, but has been tuned with its high pipes and brass screen protected airflow though the polished aluminum intake trumpets. We don’t see many utterly bonkers builds on Bonnefication, especially one which has been fitted with such a mix of British and German weaponry from both World Wars. This Triumph looks like it could belong to a fictional steampunk time traveling biker who is taking revenge for the loss of his fellow riders….We Love It!
