Engine package (For Turnkey Package) payment is additional. First payment is due at initial order to start the build process. We do not finance. Second payment is due 3-4 weeks after initial deposit once the body has been pulled from the mold and the chassis is complete and powder coated. Third and final payment can change depending if you added on upgrades or made changes throughout the build process. Third and final payment is due before delivery. As far as form of payment: we accept wire transfers, cashier’s checks, bank checks, business checks, direct deposit, personal checks, and cash. Deposit: Deposit is due before we start your build, upon initial order. We will not start any builds without funds in hand. Please refer to “Payment Details” above. The deposit is 1/3rd the overall “Roller Package” price. Build Time: Current build time is 3-4 months from initial order date. Vehicle Registration: Please contact us for your State’s registration process. Vehicle Transportation & Taking Delivery: We will arrange enclosed trailer transportation for you. This is an additional cost. We do not charge you for the service, you pay the transport company directly. You are more than welcome to use your own preferred transportation company. We ship all vehicles in enclosed transport to help ensure they arrive safe and clean. You can also arrange to pick up the vehicle from our facility. Quality & DetailsEngine: Every engine package we offer is built to the highest quality. Our aircooled engines are dyno proven, dyno tested, built in a clean room by Dan Lawson who has over 30 years of VW/Porsche aircooled racing/building experience. Everything we use on these engines are BRAND NEW! No used parts. New engine cases, etc. Instead of the cheaper China copy parts, we machine accessories and parts here in the USA. Our Type 1 engines are built by FAT Performance. Other builders such as Emory Motorsports uses Greg Anderson at FAT Performance for their Type 4 race Outlaw built engines. Greg Anderson has over 30 years of experience building Type 4 engines. Best in the industry. Our watercooled engine packages produce more power without a turbo than ones with them. Everything is new and assembled by technicians with over 25 years of experience, only the best. Transaxle: We include dual CNC’d aluminum heavy duty side covers. All our cases are hand selected and powder coated. We use one piece rubber axle boots. The attention to detail is amazing. All new stainless steel hardware. All new internals. Please refer to the “Transaxle” features above under “Standard Features”. Transaxle cases are constructed of magnesium which can be tough to powder coat and clean up without making massive pit-marks or cracks… our powder coater has over 15 years of experience in powder coating. We simply do not spray paint the trans case like other builders in the industry. Chassis: DOM steel, MIG welded by our experienced welder who has over 20 years of welding chassis under his belt. Each chassis is then powder coated, not painted. Powder coating is far more durable which prevents scratching and easy rock chips later down the road. All chassis are constructed in our jigs to ensure perfect fitment, true and straight driving/suspension mounts. We do not cut any corners whatsoever. Our floors are solid aluminum unlike our other competition who uses fiberglass floors which are unsafe. Please refer to the features above in the “Standard Features” section for more information on our chassis. Everything we use is BRAND NEW! Fiberglass Construction: All fiberglass is hand-laid in the USA out of California. We use the finest resin and gel-coat. We reinforce all areas which need reinforced where other companies cheap out on and do not. We stand behind our fiberglass and layup process just like everything else on the vehicle. Even provide a warranty were no other company in the industry does. Everything we use is BRAND NEW!Fit & Finish: Only the finest fit and finish. Our Spyders have won Concours auto shows and made various auto magazines including Kit Car Builder Magazine. All door gaps are on par, spaced evenly throughout as well as our rear bonnet and trunk/hood gaps. We use OEM grade rubber seals around the door jams so the doors have a solid fitment and feel when opening and closing them. We get complimented on all our door/hood/trunk gaps. “Feels like a real car”…. Even better, feels like a modern car from this era and not the 1950s. Paint & Bodywork: All Spyders are a two-stage paint job. Base coat and clear coat. We use PPG/D-BASF/Glasurit paints depending on color selection. We use a high quality polyester primer and sealer before the color is laid down. All our body technicians have over 25 years of bodywork experience. Interior Accessories: We do not use cheap plastic VW interior accessories. Our door bezels, headlight knobs, turn signal knob, seat slider knobs, wiper knobs, handbrake, pedals, pedal faces are all machined from the highest grade T-6061 aircraft grade aluminum and FDA grade 304 stainless steel. If we do not machine it in house in the USA we use “restoration quality” parts sourced from Germany, Italy, and Brasil. Everything we use is BRAND NEW!Hardware: We use only the finest quality hardware on the body and chassis. All hardware is USA grade Stainless Steel. No cheap zinc plated or non-stainless hardware. We use button cap screws throughout. All hardware is torqued to spec. No cheap “hardware store” grade hardware. All hardware is Grade 8.8 through 10.9.
