The stark difference in the way the paint appears in the light and shade emphasizes the beautiful curvature of the bike’s sculpted bodywork. •While this kind of paint is similar in appearance to what has been used by top custom builders, this is the first time it has been used on a mass-production vehicle in either the automotive or motorcycle industries. Strict Kawasaki quality control measures help to ensure a long-lasting finish. •The highly reflective surface is created by inducing a silver mirror-like reaction (a chemical reaction between a solution of silver ions and a reducing agent) that forms a layer of silver. This silver (Ag) layer is what creates the paint’s glass-like metal appearance. Compared to candy paints, which use aluminum flakes to generate a sparkling effect, the Ag layer appears as a uniform metallic surface. •In the shade the Ag layer is translucent, allowing the base coat color to show through. This gives the paint a deep, three-dimensional quality. •While the multiple layers of paint on typical production vehicles are applied by robot painters, each layer of the paint on the Ninja H2 – from primer to clearcoat – is carefully finished by hand by Kawasaki craftsmen to ensure a flawless, lustrous surface. It also has a polished frame, polished front and rear sets, polished Yoshimira exhaust, new chain and sprockets and new tires. It does need a little TLC to get running again but once done, it would be well worth it. I have a full Parts and Service Department if you would like us to do the work for you, or if you want to do it yourself I will give you a discount on any parts and accessories you need, so you would basically get them at employee cost. From what we have found it will need the following parts replaced; crank shaft, starter solenoid, battery, and starter gear. Depending upon cost of the parts, and if it needs anything else, it may be cheaper just to swap the motor. This bike at this price more than makes up for the cost of repairs with alllll of its custom and functional parts. It has a clean, green, clear title. If nothing else the bike is worth $2k in parts and accessories! If I had the time I would fix it and flip it, or strip it and part it out. I would much rather see it fixed and ripping up the streets again than parted out, because after all, it was bikes like this 1991 Suzuki GSX-R 750 that helped paved the way for the Super Sport bikes we have today. A little more information on the 1991 Suzuki GSX-R 750: Power was up to a real world 92 horsepower, from the previous model, and the bike was capable of doing more than 230km/h in a straight line. The new, shorter stroke 749cc inline-four got a new bottom end (adapted from Suzuki’s own GSX-R1100), revved quicker and higher than the old model’s engine and was less peaky. While the older GSX-R didn’t wake up at all before 7,000 revs, the new one started making its grunt from 5,000rpm onwards – a big improvement for low speed, city riding. In a surprise move though, the M model went back to a longer stroke engine (perhaps to improve rideability and further reduce peakiness…?), which also made a genuine 100bhp for the first time.The bike’s chassis was a strengthened, beefed-up version of the first GSX-R’s perimeter alloy frame, and steering geometry was made more radical in order to quicken the steering. The M version was the first production motorcycle to get upside-down (USD) front forks, which are now almost ubiquitous on all sports machinery. The ‘Slingshot’ GSX-R also got wider wheels, stickier rubber and higher-spec, multi-adjustable suspension – all of which helped in making it a better tool for the racetrack, where a lot of these bikes ended up being used. With its near unburstable engine and its proclivity for wheelies, stoppies and other acts of assorted two-wheeled hooliganism, this was a ‘proper’ Gixxer and a worthy successor to the first bike. It also has a polished frame, polished front and rear sets, polished Yoshimira exhaust, new chain and sprockets and new tires. It does need a little TLC to get running again but once done, it would be well worth it. I have a service department if you would like us to do the work for you, or if you want to do it I will get you a discount on any parts and accessories you need. From what we have found it will need the following parts replaced; crank shaft, starter solenoid, battery, and starter gear. Depending upon cost of the parts, and if it needs anything else, it may be cheaper just to swap the motor. A little more information on the 1991 Suzuki GSX-R 750: Power was up to a real world 92 horsepower, from the previous model, and the bike was capable of doing more than 230km/h in a straight line. The new, shorter stroke 749cc inline-four got a new bottom end (adapted from Suzuki’s own GSX-R1100), revved quicker and higher than the old model’s engine and was less peaky. While the older GSX-R didn’t wake up at all before 7,000 revs, the new one started making its grunt from 5,000rpm onwards – a big improvement for low speed, city riding. In a surprise move though, the M model went back to a longer stroke engine (perhaps to improve rideability and further reduce peakiness…?), which also made a genuine 100bhp for the first time.The bike’s chassis was a strengthened, beefed-up version of the first GSX-R’s perimeter alloy frame, and steering geometry was made more radical in order to quicken the steering. The M version was the first production motorcycle to get upside-down (USD) front forks, which are now almost ubiquitous on all sports machinery. The ‘Slingshot’ GSX-R also got wider wheels, stickier rubber and higher-spec, multi-adjustable suspension – all of which helped in making it a better tool for the racetrack, where a lot of these bikes ended up being used. With its near unburstable engine and its proclivity for wheelies, stoppies and other acts of assorted two-wheeled hooliganism, this was a ‘proper’ Gixxer and a worthy successor to the first bike. The V-twin motor provides excellent power off the line and carries it all the way to the rev limit, unlike an in-line four cylinder found in most sport bikes that require you to ride in the higher rpm's in order to create power to the rear. The SV1000S rider is positioned a little more upright, as the foot pegs are not as far back as a traditional sport bike, and the handlebars aren't as low, giving the rider more comfortable ergonomics that creates the ability to ride further, and longer, without having to stop and rest the back and/or arms. Suzuki did not cut corners when it came to styling the SV1000S model either, as it has the upper fairing and belly pan for increased wind and weather protection that also add nice styling cues, and gives it that "super-sport" look. You haven't lived until you've accelerated hard out of a corner on a Suzuki SV1000S with the dual Yoshimira exhaust humming beneath you, and it has the handling to match its impressive power plant, which is fully adjustable in both front and rear. Although it has 17,911 miles on it, it runs like a top and has been serviced by Suzuki trained and qualified technicians. The tires have are in good shape and have plenty of life left on them, along with the chain and sprockets. It does have some very light cosmetic damage that I tried to capture in the pictures. It looks like it was dropped while traveling under 10 miles per hour. Non of the panels are cracked or broken, and the damage is mainly on the right side of the bike; the upper right side of the front fearing, right side mirror, right side belly pan, right side muffler, and windshield. However the tank, rear right side plastics, and the whole left side of the bike seem to have escaped without damage. All of the levers and bar ends seem to have been replaced as they are in proper shape without bends or scratches under them. I tried to make sure this was documented in the above pictures but some of it was so light, it was hard to capture. With a little TLC it can look brand new again, or it can be ridden as it sits now, because its only light cosmetic scratches that provide proof the bike was not at a high rate of speed when it fell. I will be glad to provide more pictures for those who want them, or help look up pricing for replacing the scratched pieces. However I have priced the bike accordingly considering its condition, mileage, and extras. The versatility the SV1000S offers, is stupendous and I truly believe the new owner will have a blast on the bike, once they discover the capabilities it has to offer , if they are not familiar with them already.
