Selling my 06 gsxr 1000.Like new condition with only 4855 miles original miles.. Bike is flawless in every single way..Runs better than new..Nothing at all mechanical wrong with this bike and that's every single nut and bolt..This is a bad ass bike period and not for any beginner to learn on..Only thing it will need is a new front tire,it's has the original front tire from 2006.. Rear tire is decent shape..Little history.. In April of 2016 I was rear ended in my pick up truck going to work..Totaled it..I was out of work for over 2 months with no income...Was running low on funds during this time and had to sell my motorcycles to make ends meet.. It really sucked because all my life since 5 years old I had motorcycles..I'm 51 now so you can imagine their in my blood..Sold my RC51 and Triumph Daytona 955i.. Well during that period I was looking on eBay for another bike to get when I started work again..And came across this 2006 gsxr1000 I'm selling now..I did not have the funds available at the time.. So I took a long shot and told the gentleman who was selling it if it didn't sell to please call me..Well it didn't sell and he called me and we worked out a deal that I would pay it off rather quick... He was the original owner that bought it new...He also is an older guy in his 60's..He's pretty famous for building race cars won't mention his name,but a super super hell of nice guy..Give you a hint lives in Texas...Also during my down time and knowing the bike was going to be mine,I started buying things here and there so once I got it I could make it how I wanted it to be..Bike was all stock before I bought it except the M4 slip on he had done by M4 themselves he knows them personally..Ok here's the things I've done to it since I purchased it..There was a new Sato slip on with Ti mid pipe I couldn't pass on that I purchased just recently here on eBay..You don't find Satos that much and if you know Sato their quality and R&D is one of the best..New rear Driven sprocket 47 tooth(stock is 42)..and 3D chain in black. The bike with only 4855 miles on it I didn't buy the front sprocket..The rear sprocket looks so much better than the ugly silver stocker anyways,but I did keep it..Personally on all my bikes I always upgrade the complete charging system..Keep in mind The bike didn't need this upgrade I just do it for peace of mind..So I purchased the Super MOSFET kit from Roadstercycle..Includes the rectifier,heavy gauge wire and LED charging monitor direct to battery hook up..Healthy 14.3 across the battery while at idle..The charging monitor located on the steering stem lights green while riding to let you know it's all good..ASV clutch and brake levers only the best,adjustment range on these are far superior to any other,you get what you pay for..On Facebook there's a gsxr1000 members only for sale ads..So I purchased a like new rear Pensk Shock with only 1500 miles on it and it shows it..I put that on already that's a night and day feel..Sprung with a 180 to 200 lb. person.. Also from their I purchased Dynojet quick shifter,PCV,ignition modual,secondary fuel modual..The Penske cost $600 new their around $1000..All the Dynojet Items I listed new another $1000..Being used and after a week of back and forth with the guy I got all for $300 that's a huge score...Not hooked up yet since I just got it via UPS ..But indeed all works..Oh and another seat I couldn't pass on,lol..Its brand new why not..That's about it.Oh and a new light weight Shorai battery weighs about 1 pound...$150.. Also bought a license plate holder for a cleaner look..Shown in pics..Also when you see pics of the Penske shock reservoir I fabbed a holder for it so it would not rub against the sub frame..Oh and bought a new Galfer rear rotor I couldn't pass up also..Also changed the spark plugs..Bike is ready lol...All the stickers I put on will come off,lol...I like stickers.....The bike is like new in every aspect,really nothing else to say..It definetly wont disappoint ..Ok why I'm selling it, it literally scares me,especially with the new 47 tooth rear sprocket...I'm talking 2nd gear will flip your ass over in a heart beat...I'm pretty sure 3rd will come up also..And I'm a pretty good rider,maybe 10 years ago I would of liked it..I was with out my bikes for awhile and never had 06 gsxr1000 and thought it couldn't be the animal everyone talks about..So I bought it and it's a freekn animal...To much for me 100% true story..I forgot to mention I had all the fairings off to look under the hood and all is good guaranteed,no hidden damage...All plastic fairings,tabs all good, no cracks of any..That is the very first thing I did when it got shipped here from Texas...Also before I purchased the bike per our agreement was to have the recalls done.That includes the frame brace and front brake master cylinder..All documented and I have those docs..Buying sight unseen is scary I know,but I assure you all is good,,,I have great feedback and like to keep it that way,,..Bid with confidence ..Any more questions pics etc just ask...This will be a buy it now and well worth what I'm asking..If you know these bikes and what they are capable of then it speaks for itself...I'm not hurting for money,nor need to sell right away. I will say after looking at some pics lighting is not the best... This engine delivers enhanced throttle response across the entire RPM range and offers high potential for racetrack performance. The engine is built with high-quality titanium valves, forged pistons and shot-peened conrods. The combustion chamber accommodates large intake and exhaust valves. Intake valve size is 31 mm and exhaust valve size is 25 mm. The engine’s oversquare bore and stroke of 74.5 mm x 57.3 mm gives it specifically increased performance at high RPM. The compact engine allowed Suzuki engineers to incorporate a shorter wheelbase design with a longer swingarm for improved racetrack performance. Suzuki Composite Electrochemical Material (SCEM)-plated cylinders integrated into the upper crankcase helps reduce friction, improve heat transfer, increase durability and provides better ring seal. The SDTV (Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve) system uses two butterfly valves in each throttle body barrel, the primary valve controlled by the rider via the twist grip and the secondary valve controlled by the ECM. Each throttle body feeds 2-cylinders and each throttle body barrel carries two ultra-fine-atomization, 12 hole injectors that produce a fine fuel mist for more complete combustion. This ultimately reduces fuel consumption and exhaust emissions. In addition, the GSX-R1000 is outfitted with Iridium spark plugs, which produce a strong spark for efficient combustion. A unique Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS) system allow the rider to select one of three fuel injection and ignition system maps, adjusting power delivery to suit personal preference. Using a button on the left handlebar control module, the rider can instantaneously switch between the three available maps, which are designated A, B and C as displayed on the instrument panel. A large, efficient radiator with a trapezoidal shape developed on factory team racebikes and a trapezoidal engine oil cooler both help reduce drag. The oil cooler’s trapezoidal shape (instead of the more conventional rectangular shape), allows the lower fairing to be narrower, which helps improve aerodynamics and reduce drag. Suzuki Advanced Exhaust System (SAES) uses an under-engine chamber with low-slung, large-volume race-inspired titanium mufflers. Transmission Features The back torque-limiting clutch incorporates the Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) for light clutch pull and optimum clutch performance. This cable-operated back-torque-limiting clutch makes for efficient clutch operation with superb feel. Chassis Features The GSX-R1000 is equipped with a compact twin-spar cradle frame made of five cast sections. The frame is paired with a one-piece die-cast rear subframe and an arched swingarm made of three castings. Lightweight Showa Big Piston front Forks (BPF) 43 mm fork design eliminates the internal cartridge assembly inserted into each fork leg and instead uses a single 39.6 mm upper piston riding against the inside wall of the inner fork tube. This endurance-race-proven design offers more effective valving, with more controlled compression to deliver better feedback to the rider. The Showa rear shock works through an aluminum alloy linkage mounted on the swingarm and an extruded aluminum alloy link rod connected to the frame. The rear shock offers adjustable rebound damping, spring preload, and both high-speed and low-speed compression damping. Electronically controlled steering damper uses the ECM to monitor motorcycle speed and adjust damping force as needed. The front brakes feature fully floating 310 mm discs and rigid, lightweight race-proven monoblock forged radial-mount calipers. The rear disc brake works with a single piston caliper mounted above the swingarm. The edgy and clean GSX-R1000 styling incorporates fairing and bodywork details aimed at reducing turbulence and drag. Attention to rider comfort includes a carefully shaped seat and adjustable footpegs (the footpegs remain three-way adjustable - 14 mm in a horizontal and vertical range). A tailsection cover is also included for solo rides or track days. The capacity of sculpted fuel tank is 17.5 liters (4.6 US gal.). Only the Californian spec. model has a 16.5 liters (4.4 US gal.) fuel tank. The GSX-R1000 has distinctive multi-reflector headlight with vertically stacked high and low-beam halogen bulbs centered between position lights on each side. The front and rear turn signals feature clear lenses over amber bulbs. Instruments include a silver-ringed analog tachometer with LCD speedometer. LCD readouts include odometer, dual trip meters, reserve trip meter, clock, coolant temperature / oil pressure warning indicator, gear position indicator, lap timer / stopwatch, S-DMS setting indicator and bar-graph indicating the instrument lighting level, or brightness.
