For sale is my 2006 Suzuki DL1000 (V-Strom). It has 30,000 miles and has been religiously maintained by me, an ADVRider (seetomgo). As you can see from the photos, it is in excellent condition and has only minor scuffs and scratches from regular use, bags and moving around my climate-controlled garage where it has always been kept. I am selling it because I have too many bikes, too many kids and not enough time. I am an avid adult rider and this bike has never been thrashed or abused nor ridden by anyone other than myself. The tires are new with only a few hundred commuting miles on them - well over 90% tread left. The bike has just had its 30,000 mile service including valve check (they were all within spec), filter and fluid changes. Both sprockets and the chain were replaced about 5,000 miles ago as well. Extras: It has the Madstad windshield bracket, which is a necessary mod on these bikes and Barkbuster Storm hand guards with aluminum backbones, in addition to the following Touratech parts which I bought new and installed (I have receipts for everything): headlight guard, radiator guard, oil cooler guard, engine guards (crash bars), folding shift lever and the higher front fender - basically everything that Touratech makes for the DL1000. I also have all of the original parts that will come with the bike along with extra oil filters and sundry items. The bike also comes with the original factory tool kit and manual. It has Hot Grips heated grips that ceased working about 10,000 miles ago and were thus later modified to accommodate the Barkbusters. I will include all of the wiring and switches in case you want to repair them. I have a clear Louisiana title in-hand. I would hop on the bike and ride it to Prudhoe Bay tomorrow with no further preparations and I would be happy to pick up the winning bidder at MSY if you would like to fly in and ride home. I can also deliver the bike within a reasonable distance free of charge, but please check with me first.
