Clear title in my name, titled off the '72 frame number. Total engine and chassis overhaul. Every segment of the motorcycle has been completely disassembled---engine, gearbox, primary and clutch, swingarm, forks. The engine rebuild was a meticulous overhaul. The cams were polished and lifters refaced. The oil pump was overhauled. The pistons and rings were replaced. The valve guides were replaced with Precision Engineering bronze guides. The valves are Black Diamond, which is the best quality in the industry. Valve springs are heavy duty Kibblewhites. A copper head gasket was installed to eliminate leaking.Upgraded carburetors to new genuine Amal Concentric 'Premier'. Newest and best on the market. Look just like the originals, but have better internals. The exhaust headers are new T120TT pipes. The gearbox was overhauled with all-new bushings and bearings. The gears were in good shape, with no chipped or damaged teeth. The clutch has been improved by installing Barnett heavy-duty clutch springs and clutch plates. The primary chain was replaced. The stock points and condensers ignition system has been replaced with modern electronic ignition. The charging system has been updated with a solid-state regulator/rectifier. Total chassis overhaul. The steering head bearings have been updated to tapered bearings. The frame has been painted. The fork tubes were replaced, fork internals overhauled. All wheel bearings have been replaced. The rims and spokes are original Dunlop units, and honestly look like new. Tires are new Dunlop K81 TT100 (rear 4.25X18 and front 4.10X19). I am willing to install any new tires of your choosing. Both wheels have been speed-balanced. The entire engine has been bead-blasted and painted. The original Smiths instruments are in good working condition. The seat and tailpiece is new. The gas tank and fenders have been painted. The lettering is painted, not decals. The overhauled engine has been properly broken in.The head has been re-torqued, the valves re-adjusted, and the oil changed. The levers are genuine Dougherty, as were found on the late 60's BSA Spitfire. NOTE: Models with a price of "Request a Quote" are always included in a $0 search, regardless of actual value. 2014 Triumph Bonneville T100 SE Last of the Model Year 2014 Bonnevilles to get the beauty treatment is a very Special Edition, which boasts a paint scheme inspired by one of the last Meriden models off the line in 1982, the T140w TSS.The distinctive Jet Black and Lunar Silver paintwork creates a unique looking Bonneville, with black livery on the tank and side panels (with twin, hand-painted gold coach lines), while the front and rear mudguards are painted silver with jet black centre stripes and gold coach lines. As with the T100, the special edition sports the new detailing on the cylinder head cooling fins, solid black oil cooler lines and a more throaty sounding silencer. To complete the retro look the Special Edition also sports a chrome grab rail, black mirrors and a brushed finish to the clutch, sprocket, alternator and cam covers. Standard Features May Include: Bodywork Two tone paint work complete with hand painted coach lines adorn the T100. Engine From day one Bonnevilles have been built to be ridden, not just to look good. Today, this 865cc parallel twin puts out a healthy 68PS with 68Nm of torque at its peak, with plenty available at low revs so you get most use out of it.The fuelling is controlled by a sophisticated management computer programmed for clean emissions and a smooth, predictable throttle response. So there s enough performance to be fun for experienced riders but not so much that will intimidate riders with fewer miles behind them. Frame All of our extensive chassis experience and technology has gone into the Bonneville T100 s simple tubular steel construction. Providing easy, neutral steering and exceptional balance even at low speeds. Suspension Looking good whilst working hard isn t easy. But the 1960s style twin shocks fitted at the back come with a chrome finish and modern damping internals. As do the traditional-looking forks. And that makes the ride of your Bonneville T100 smooth and controlled, even on bumpy roads and cornering at speed. Brakes We ve given the T100 a single disc brake at the front for a strong, progressive feel and a second disc for the rear for plenty of stopping force whilst maintaining the overall balance of the chassis so every moment of your ride is confident and controlled. Handling We ve built a traditional style tubular steel cradle desi

Stock # X065971978 Triumph T140E classic. The 650 cc capacity production T120 Bonneville was replaced in the early 1970s by the T140 Bonneville, the same basic machine but with a 750 cc engine. Refined from the later 'oil in frame' version of the T120, the first few T140s, designated T140V, featured a larger-capacity engine of 724 cc, a five-speed gearbox and indicators, but still retaining drum brakes and kick-start. Shortly after, the engine was further bored out to 744 cc and front disc brakes were fitted (using single discs until 1982). While originally intended for 'export only' the 750 Bonneville twin, caused so much interest among visitors to the 1973 motorcycle shows, that Triumph decided to put the bike on the home market at the price of 679 uk pounds. In 1975, along with engine modifications, the gearchange lever was moved from right to left to comply with new regulations mandated for the American market and a rear disc brake fitted. Several T140 models followed featuring various modifications and refinements including electric starting from 1980 until production ceased with the closure of the Meriden works in 1983.Although this should have been the end of the Bonneville, as it turned out it was not. Triumph Motorcycles was acquired by businessman John Bloor, who licensed a company called Racing Spares in Devon, run by Les Harris to manufacture the T140 Bonneville. These continuation bikes are known as the 'Devon Bonnevilles', which did not reach the market until 1985, and were not sold in the U.S. Production ended in 1988For more info please call Steele's Cycle at 303-781-5339 or visit our showroom for a test ride!
