The trike was built by Hardcore Choppers of Sterling, Virginia. You can find older photos from when it was first completed on their website. This trike represents some of the highest quality work a shop can produce, and it’s evident in all of the details. Power comes from a 127 cubic inch S&S Super fully polished V-twin. It’s got a Baker transmission that has a fully functional reverse gear – no leg pushing required. The rear end was custom built, and has fully independent suspension just like what’s on the car in your driveway. Everything was done to ensure this trike is a smooth ride and great performer, and it handles like it’s on rails. The rear suspension has coilover shocks, fully independent alignment and adjustment, and a fully custom billet rear end that’s sure to provide reliable service and performance. Going fast has to be balanced with not just handling, but also stopping fast, and this bike has you covered in that department, too. A massive Wilwood racing brake sits between the rear wheels to get you stopped as fast as you need. Custom 18 inch rear wheels and a fantastic looking 21 inch front wheel that were built specifically for this bike shine brightly and draw your eye in, but the rest of the details keep you interested. The custom paint job accents the custom cream colored leather seat, and the Dakota Digital gauge cluster makes it easy to keep an eye on the functions while looking great, too. An American Suspension inverted front end controls the front wheel, and of course, it’s all chrome. There’s also a removable windshield (not pictured) that comes with the trike, as well as a removable locking tour pack bag, which is of course, painted to match the rest of this unique bike. You are buying a rare, traditional American chopper by Flyrite Choppers, Rouserworks and Haifley Bros. 100% Made in USA parts ( except UK Avon tires and Spanish Akront wheel ). The build goal is a classic, traditional American chopper using only the best quality American made parts, with a modern, easy to start ( electric only ), easy to maintain, powerful Buell high performance engine. Bike is long, low, light, quick and beautiful. Stance is perfect. Stripped of all non-essentials, the look is clean. Handles true and steady at speed. Sweet on high speed sweepers. Long wheelbase makes for a wide turning radius. Minimal brakes and no turn signals make this an open road bike, not a city bike or bar hopper unless a front brake is added. Fit. I'm 6'2" and ride with the handlebars turned down ( board track style ). Inches can be gained by adjusting the handlebars up parallel to tank. It's a long bike so under 5'8" may require different bars. Titled ( Arizona ) as a 2000 Buell ( not special construction ). I may change to Colorado before sale. Built in 2007 at Rouserworks, Corpus Christie, TX, using a 2000 Buell Thunderbolt 1200 cc engine, in a 2007 Flyrite Smokin Gun rigid frame ( with Serial No. and Manufacturer's Statement of Origin included in sale ). In 2013-2014 bike underwent a $6,500 frame off refurbishing at Haifley Bros., Phoenix, AZ. Bike was completely disassembled, frame powder coated, sheet metal painted, new seat, one-off handlebars and 2 into 1 exhaust, $1200 wheels and tires. Specifics follow in description and photos. ENGINE: 2000 Buell Thunderbolt 1200 cc. Electric start only. Oil cooler. Compression is strong. No mechanical issues ( sweats a little as Harley's do but no drips ).
