Up for sale is a Trike project. The donor car is a 1969 VW Karmann Ghia. It is titled as a 1984 Yamaha as that is the motorcycle front end. The Karmann Ghia was cut down the center and 2’ of the center of the car was removed. I bought this project from a guy in Texas 2 years ago with the intention of finishing it. I have not found the time and am therefore selling it. I have a clear Texas title in hand, signed by the original owner. If you are looking for a head turning, conversation piece and have the ability to take someone’s concept to completion this is for you. You get everything you see in the pictures. The Trike, trailer, all used parts, and all of the new parts. Trailer The trailer has new tires, new lights, and new wheel bearings. You also get fenders for the trailer and a set of heavy duty removable ramps that lock into grooves in the back of the trailer. The trailer accepts a 2” ball. I pulled this trailer with the trike on it from Dallas Texas to Northeast Ohio 2 years ago. It tracks nice and straight. Below is a list of what you get. This is a vintage 1970s VW trike project motor runs good new battery new master cylinder new clutch pressure plate throw out bearing. No title. I do not have a title for this VW trike you are buying it as is with no title. I bought this for a project that I will probably never get to. Starts and runs good brakes work does drive. No wiring harness, so none of the gauges were lights work. I don't know the exact year of the trike. Here's your chance to own a very unique and rare vintage 1970's kit car project, the Tri Magnum trike. Built on a 1976 Honda CB750A Hondamatic, this thing is part space ship, part James Bond, and just plain cool. Definitely an attention getter. Fiberglass body, VW front end, and bullet proof Honda CB750A power. Obviously it is a project and needs to be thoroughly gone through. Fiberglass body has bumps and bruises and will need work. The CB750 engine was verified to run within the last year, but has not been started lately, it will likely need carburetor work, fuel lines ran, etc. Wiring needs to be redone, it's a bit of a mess. I'm sure the brakes will need work too. There is no interior or glass, and the rear hatch has not been attached to the body. Steering wheel tilts up for ease of entry and exit from the vehicle. Overall a great, one of a kind project. This vehicle is local pick up only in Springfield, Illinois. Had this bike listed earlier this year... but the weather was so cold and miserable that I let the ad die. I will add more pictures this saturday morning. For some reason I can't find all the pictures of the bike right now so I'll take new ones. This bike was built in 1999 for the #12 NASCAR race team. Titan had a relationship with NASCAR around this time and built (to my understanding) less than 12 different bikes for NASCAR. To my knowledge this is the only one set up like it is. If you do a web search of: nascar titan motorcycle - you'll see a couple of pictures of it there also. Engine is a polished S&S 112 cubic inch. I had compression releases installed. 5 Speed. LED turn and tail lights. Orignal leather Titan saddle bags. A lot of chrome! I have an additionl set of pipes and two sets of foot rests. Windshied. Also have the owners and service manual for it. There's not a lot I can write about the bike as it's been pretty much left as built. When you look up the vin history on the bike - you'll see that it was not registered for a number of years. It just sat around to look pretty. Time for a new annual license, so it will be getting a fresh inspection shortly. Oil and filter recently changed. Why I'm selling: Been wanting a trike and have have found a VW trike project.
