Fully engineered to be a joy to drive, it's also finished to show standards and filled with some pretty serious hardware built by some of the biggest names in the business. This cool coupe is the real deal! Finished in bright 1969 Camaro Garnet Red, the smooth, clean lines of the Willys are easy to love. No graphics, no outrageous hood scoops, no pro-street treatment, just a super tidy body that doesn't need a lot of custom stuff to look fantastic. The paint is show quality and it's been laid down over some of the best-prepped bodywork we've ever seen. Super tight and even gaps, smooth, distortion-free panels, and a deep shine are what initially gets your attention, not all the add-ons. There's a traditional Willys "electric shaver" grille, and gorgeous teardrop headlights, but our favorite detail is the crease that starts almost at the tip of the hood and reaches back to the crown of the rear fenders, adding tension to the whole car, as if the bodywork were stretched as tightly as possible over the mechanicals within. Twin rear windows are an Americar trademark, and with shaved bumpers, 1950 Pontiac taillights, and stock chrome handles, the car looks exactly right. The interior was crafted with driving in mind, which also means it's user-friendly and easy to get in and out. The bucket seats look to be from an early Mustang, and they're a great clean alternative to the overstuffed leather chairs you see in so many modern rods. As you'd expect from a car at this level, everything is brand new or restored, and fits together superbly. Custom door panels match the seats and the carpets are expertly trimmed so there are no wrinkles or bare spots. A 3-spoke steering wheel has a suitably vintage look, a look accentuated by the tall Lokar shifter and clean Omega Kustom gauges. It shows just 58 miles since the build was completed, so everything should be new, new, new! It also offers features like A/C, power windows, and a tilt steering column, so you'll find that it's easy to drive anywhere, anytime. It's even got a nicely upholstered trunk that's deep enough to handle a week's worth of luggage for two, which you don't often find in the big wheel pro-street Willys coupes. Any questions about this car's build quality disappear when you see what's under the skin. The builder had access to a Charlotte area NASCAR fabrication shop, and it shows. The 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 was built to be streetable, and has an old-school look thanks to an Allen Johnson Speed Shop air cleaner and trick old-school 2-piece valve covers, designed to allow valve adjustments on a running engine. It was tuned by Spenny Clendenen, the same guy who made sure Dale Earnhardt's engines were ready to rock every Sunday, and with 400 horsepower on tap, it's bloody quick. A built TH350 3-speed automatic feeds power to a custom-built Ford 9-inch with 3.18 gears on a Detroit Locker differential. A tubular A-arm front suspension with rack-and-pinion steering, and coil-over shocks, give it the ride and handling of a modern car, while the 4-link out back means there's no squirrely feeling. Those coil-over shocks all around also allow fine-tuning of the ride height, although we think the stance is absolutely perfect as-is. Big 4-wheel disc brakes are effective and live behind some retro-looking wheels, gasser-style skinnies up front and wide old-school 5-window hoops in back, all wrapped in BFG rubber. You've seen all the other Willys coupes out there and they all claim to be different. Well, this one really is different and in this case, different also means better. All Steel and documented Race History. 1964 NHRA Best Engineered raced by Elverne Pfeiffer from Kenosha, WI. Street Rodder Magazine Top 5 Car of 2013. Bob Daniels Award of ExcellenceGoodguys Builder's Choice Awards2014 NSRA (Louisville) Pros PickShades of the Past Top 25And more… Car took 3 years to build. A complete build video over this time frame is available. For more photos, documentation, etc. please contact the owner. You can also see more photos and build info. on Lo Man Rods website: lo-manrods.com. Videos also on the website and you can hear the car. The car looks and plays the part and is frequently driven down the road. It is not just a trailer queen. We have participated in Hot Rod of the Year tour, Rodder's Journal tour in Baltimore, MD, and other driving events. It goes straight down the road and it easy to drive. We have all the right parts, sway bars, suspension to make it handle nice.Special features include:ALL STEEL (EVERY PART IS STEEL - NOTHING FAKE!), original trim (grill, side trim, door handles, deck lid trim, window cranks, etc.), two sets of headers (zoomie headers shown as well as complete header that ties into the exhaust under the car that remains in place), entire body painted inside and out (hours upon hours spent painting, sanding and buffing inside the complete body - it is beautiful), Even the floors in the trunk are painted slick to match which looks amazing against the brushed aluminum trim. The front-end slides off body/cage in one piece. Full roll cage, all chrome front suspension (entire rear-end chrome, chrome ladder bars, etc.), All-chrome window trim throughout the car, one-off head rests for comfort and racing, door pins so doors can be pulled off, all-aluminum interior panels by Lo Man Rods in Tipp City, OH, leather seats by Lyons Interiors in Brookville, OH, one off parts all over the car including: (complete hand made tach, machined column drop, machined shift handle, machined head rests, machined and polished hood supports (under hood), inner fender braces polished, battery boxes and straps, ladder bars made by Lo Man Rods, machined center caps for the wheels by Lo Man Rods. Lo Man Rods made both sets of headers and all the one-off parts throughout the car. Nothing was left untouched and was made to resemble what it looked like in 1964 with a few more extras to give it an award winning "Best Engineered" attitude again. The zoomie headers were custom made to match the polished stacks for the Hillborn Injection (Lo Man Rods). Every bolt on the entire car is stainless and machine turned! The entire body is gapped to perfection along with the fenders to the body. All the metal work completed by the pros at Lo Man Rods. Custom firewall and sides by the firewall so that the hood fits flush and not just rubbing against the body like a typical steel hood fits.See Videos here: https://youtu.be/hBjpCFXnRHYhttps://youtu.be/-qkoe0ordb4You will not find another 41 Willys out there that is all steel, detailed and with documented race history as this car! Full appraisal on the car and you could not duplicate the car with this good of a body for this price. Full appraisal available to show cost over the reserve price.I do NOT need to sell the car and I am not interested in junk for trades. I will not list it on other sites, so please do not call me saying you can help sell the car. If truly interested, you can call me to discuss the car and more details of the car. The car will not be released until all money is cleared with the bank. I can assist with shipping for an additional cost or deliver the car in person to review each item on the car. This is an expensive build so if you do not have that type of money, please do not waste your time or have to ask your wife if you can get a loan or spend the money. This is truly an investment for the future since you cannot find an all-steel body like this with documentation.

We do not guarantee condition, originality or authenticity of parts, equipment, colors, equipment packages or documentation or any other item that is part of the vehicle or comes with the vehicle. All vehicles older than 10 years old are sold with exempt mileage on titles. The odometer reading listed in any of our advertisements is only a declaration of what the odometer is reading at the time of listing and that the odometer reading cannot be deemed as accurate mileage. If mileage is represented as true mileage on title it will be transferred to the buyer as such. Otherwise, even if described as actual mileage by previous owner, milege will read as exempt on title. Information past on by previous owner is not a guaranty of "actual mileage" in any way or form. We are not responsible for misprinted information. This car listed for sale on other websites and on display in our public warehouse. We reserve the right to sell the vehicle before the end of our auction and as long as we can provide proof of such sale, we are not obligated to sell the car to the winning bidder.Fee and Tax Information: There are no taxes collected on vehicles that are shipped out of state with a copy of the bill of laiding before the car is picked up. If you require a Florida temporary tag so that you may drive the car home, we will be happy to supply this for you. We collect the sales tax at the rate equal to your home state sales tax. With the copy of the bill of sale and the title most states give credit for sales tax collected in Florida. Please check with your state DMV to see if your state reciprocates sales tax with Florida Dept of revenue. We will be generating all paperwork required for ownership transfer. We send the vehicle title after payment recieved and Florida DMV paperwork is signed. Florida DMV allows 30 days to deliver title. We send the title via express mail. We also help arrange or provide assistance with shipping. Vehicles are available for pick up during normal working hours. We charge a fee of $295 fee on every sale and no other dealer fees. This includes every sale or auction, even one that you have already won but did not see these terms in advance.See our other listingsDisclaimer: This auction is a legally binding contract to buy this vehicle. All vehicles are sold as-is unless otherwise specified. I have done my best to accurately describe this vehicle. It is up to the buyer to come see and further inspect the car before the end of the auction.-->http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/lp4AAOSwyQtVpc-G/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/lp4AAOSwyQtVpc-G/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/yLcAAOSwMmBVpc-H/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/yLcAAOSwMmBVpc-H/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/nXMAAOSwLVZVpc-I/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/nXMAAOSwLVZVpc-I/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDgwWDMyNA==/z/dcUAAOSwDNdVpc-J/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDgwWDMyNA==/z/dcUAAOSwDNdVpc-J/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/A10AAOSwd0BVpc-K/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/A10AAOSwd0BVpc-K/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/PGYAAOSwHnFVpc-M/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/PGYAAOSwHnFVpc-M/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/ndQAAOSwLVZVpc-N/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/ndQAAOSwLVZVpc-N/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/QTIAAOSwT6pVpc-O/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/QTIAAOSwT6pVpc-O/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/YO4AAOSw9N1Vpc-P/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/YO4AAOSw9N1Vpc-P/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/yWUAAOSwMmBVpc-Q/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/yWUAAOSwMmBVpc-Q/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/pwAAAOSwu4BVpc-R/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/pwAAAOSwu4BVpc-R/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/yZEAAOSwMmBVpc-T/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/yZEAAOSwMmBVpc-T/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/nlQAAOSwLVZVpc-U/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/nlQAAOSwLVZVpc-U/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/p00AAOSwu4BVpc-V/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/p00AAOSwu4BVpc-V/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/l8YAAOSwyQtVpc-W/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/l8YAAOSwyQtVpc-W/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/yfYAAOSwMmBVpc-X/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/yfYAAOSwMmBVpc-X/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/YyoAAOSw3ydVpc-Y/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/YyoAAOSw3ydVpc-Y/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/QecAAOSwT6pVpc-Z/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/QecAAOSwT6pVpc-Z/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/yjoAAOSwMmBVpc-a/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/yjoAAOSwMmBVpc-a/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/mEYAAOSwyQtVpc-c/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/mEYAAOSwyQtVpc-c/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/YdoAAOSw9N1Vpc-d/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/YdoAAOSw9N1Vpc-d/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/PigAAOSw~gRVpc-e/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/PigAAOSw~gRVpc-e/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/xC4AAOSwgQ9Vpc-f/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/xC4AAOSwgQ9Vpc-f/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/xEwAAOSwgQ9Vpc-h/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/xEwAAOSwgQ9Vpc-h/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/TY4AAOSwPcVVpc-i/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/TY4AAOSwPcVVpc-i/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/xHgAAOSwgQ9Vpc-j/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/xHgAAOSwgQ9Vpc-j/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/YlEAAOSw9N1Vpc-k/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/YlEAAOSw9N1Vpc-k/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/QrkAAOSwT6pVpc-l/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/QrkAAOSwT6pVpc-l/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/yyIAAOSwMmBVpc-m/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/yyIAAOSwMmBVpc-m/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/qLcAAOSwu4BVpc-n/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/qLcAAOSwu4BVpc-n/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/YpcAAOSw9N1Vpc-o/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/YpcAAOSw9N1Vpc-o/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/BXcAAOSwd0BVpc-p/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/BXcAAOSwd0BVpc-p/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/mYAAAOSwyQtVpc-q/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/mYAAAOSwyQtVpc-q/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/mZcAAOSwyQtVpc-r/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/mZcAAOSwyQtVpc-r/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/eK8AAOSwDNdVpc-t/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/eK8AAOSwDNdVpc-t/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/E60AAOSwjVVVpc-u/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/E60AAOSwjVVVpc-u/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/ePQAAOSwDNdVpc-v/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/ePQAAOSwDNdVpc-v/$_16.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/ZRcAAOSw3ydVpc-w/$_5.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDM4WDY0MA==/z/ZRcAAOSw3ydVpc-w/$_16.JPGhttp://i.eb Originally envisioned as inexpensive transportation for the masses at the outset of World War II, the Americar has become a favorite of hot rodders everywhere. After the war, the Americars were discarded when repair costs would have exceeded their value. Found in scrap yards or cast off by their former owners, Willy's with dead engines or other catastrophic failures became a fodder for the burgeoning drag race scene. Hot Rodders quickly fell in love with the short wheel base,-barley bigger than a VW Beetle-and light construction. So began the tradition of modifying these curvy coupes to create something totally unique and undeniably powerful. Completed in 2014, Mark's Monster Garage of Sarasota, FL, has continued that tradition with this example. A fiberglass Outlaw Performance body keeps the weight low, allowing the 502/876 HP engine with its 6-71 blower to really shine in the quarter mile. No detail was ignored, the 700R automatic transmission, Wildwood disc front brakes and billet pulley system show that attention was paid in all the right places. Inside, alligator leather upholstery adds an exotic touch and makes a true street/strip hot rod. Billett pedals, Ididit tilt steering column and Dakota digital dash gauges round out the classic rod look. The car is finished in a dazzling Orange Flame Pearl with subtle ghost flames on the nose. The body is fully shaved inside and out, down to the push button doors, windows and trunk-but the Borla exhaust lets the power under the hood shake things up. No longer humble budget transport. this Willy's coupe is reborn and ready to rock! FEATURED DEALER American Classic Car Sales 1683 Cattlemen Rd Sarasota, FL 34232 (941) 928-2339 FEATURED VEHICLE 1941 Willys StreetRod VEHICLE DETAILS Year: 1941 Make: Willys Model: StreetRod Trim: Engine: V8 Transmission: Automatic Fuel Type: Gasoline Exterior: Red Interior: Orange Mileage: 34 Vin: SB000035 Stock#: 4770C Body Style: Other Condition: Used VEHICLE INFO It's a long way from budget-conscious to high-style hot rod, but it's a familiar road for the Willy's Americar. Originally envisioned as inexpensive transportation for the masses at the outset of World War II, the Americar has become a favorite of hot rodders everywhere. The car is finished in a dazzling Orange Flame Pearl with subtle "ghost flames" on the nose. The body is fully shaved inside and out, down to the push button doors, windows and trunk-but the Borla exhaust lets the power under the hood shake things up. No longer humble budget transport. this Willy's coupe is reborn and ready to rock! [email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1941 Willys Coupe Frame Off Built Coupe 502 V8/502 HP 700R4 4 Speed Automatic Strange FAB9 PS A/C Year: 1941 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Silver Mileage: 1289 Transmission type: 4 Speed Automatic Engine: 502 V8 Interior color: Red Vehicle Info Like fashion, the collector car market is cyclical. And, like fashion staples, there are some cars that never go out of style. For instance, you just can't go wrong with a comfortable pair of jeans. Likewise, you'll always be admired when you pull up in a ground-pounding Willys. Back in 1941, at a small automaker that was about to go through its second bankruptcy, no one would have guessed that, 71 years later, we'd think a striking silver Americar is one of the coolest street rods we've ever seen. But alas, great design endures. And when great design is mixed with modern technology, it's a sure-fire bet for success! Featuring an impressive roster of components, a supple leather interior and a 502 cubic inch big block V8, this head-turning custom is poised to draw big attention and take home very big trophies. It's also completely sorted, scary fast and amazingly comfortable. Forget all that nonsensical talk about boring coupes and trendy roadsters owning the next cruise season, this first class Willys is your go-to piece for stopping the show! For over 25 years Outlaw Performance of Avonmore, Pennsylvania has been a leading supplier of custom fiberglass bodies, and this spectacular coupe is a testament to just how well they've honed their craft. Purchased as one of their full body and chassis packages, the car benefits from a hand-laminated, one piece construction technique that combines an embedded Poplar floorpan with a sturdy, unitized steel structure. Take a look at our high resolution photos and you'll see that every panel is as flat as Kansas, with a shine that's only found on six-figure hot rods. That shine comes courtesy of a radiant coat of House of Kolor Mercedes Silver candy. And that impressive paint is accented by a dynamic array of Wade Hughes' reverse flames. It's hard to find any well-done street rod that doesn't turn heads and inspire stares. But this car, with its excellent stance, sublime paint and well-planned detailing, makes most custom builds seem amateur and second-rate. When you build a stunning, ground-hugging Willys, it doesn't take much to make the car pop. That's why professional customs like this fully sorted Outlaw feature just enough high quality bolt-ons to create a classy and timeless appearance. At the front of the car, a contoured hood rides above a polished grille and two original-style headlights. Behind that hood, lightly smoked glass and remote power windows sit between stylish, polished mirrors. At the sides of that glass, remote doors hang shaved handles behind tough aluminum hinges. Behind those doors, a remote trunk, custom tail lights and retractable license plate add a healthy dose of function to some of the best automotive form ever created. And overall, this coupe is simple, smooth and classic, carrying the true hallmarks of enduring design. One thing you won't have to worry about in this Willys is power. Thanks to a 502 cubic inch V8 that's been balanced and blueprinted to 502 horsepower, this sleek street rod is more than just a pretty parking lot poseur! At the top of the world class mill, a chrome carburetor mixes air from a polished cleaner with a steady stream of high octane dinosaurs that travels through polished lines and a polished canister filter. At the base of that carburetor, a chromed intake rides between familiar aluminum heads that anchor polished valve covers under a combination of polished and chromed breathers. At the back of those heads, an MSD Pro-Billet distributor sequences fire through loomed Taylor plug wires. Cooling is provided by a coated water pump, which is aligned behind an electric puller fan, a triple-pass radiator, a chrome corrugated hose and an electric pusher fan. And exhaust is handled by a pair of ceramic coated block huggers, which look great next to the motor's bright red skin. Naturally, this Willys clean engine bay is a sea of first rate hardware, from its chrome mini starter and braided coolant lines all the way to its polished accessory drive and Willys branded cowl. And overall, the car displays a first-rate level of workmanship that conveys a quality, tailored demeanor. Behind that professionally built engine, a modern 700R4 4-speed twists torque through a 2,800 RPM stall converter to a Strange FAB9 and big, 3.73 gears. That first class drivetrain is held off the ground by a custom, square-tube chassis, which is bathed in a smooth layer of Mercedes Silver paint. At the front of that chassis, a polished Heidts suspension, which is equipped with modern rack and pinion steering and individually controlled air shocks, mixes pleasant rides with vintage feel. At the back of the chassis, a polished 4-link suspension utilizes two more individually controlled air shocks to provide drag strip worthy launches. Serious stops counter the car's serious speed via a power-assisted Wilwood set up that wraps polished calipers around drilled and slotted rotors. Exhaust duties are handled by 3-inch, Jet-Hot coated pipes that growl through polished Borla mufflers. And keeping all this muscle rolling down the road is a slick set of polished Budnik Gassers which spin 25x7.50R15 Hoosier Pro Streets in front of 31x16.50R17 Hoosier Pro Streets. With a beefy drivetrain that's been reliably built to be both tough and fun to drive, this '41 Willys is the real deal. And with its clean floors and super impressive hardware, it'll fare well at any show you chose to attend! Pop the car's lightweight doors and you'll reveal a custom-tailored cabin that was installed by Shannon Walters of Interiors by Shannon. Featuring a stylish combination of glossy paint and supple leather hides, it's the kind of space you just won't want to leave. Traditional bucket seats are coddled by color-keyed belts. Auto Meter supplied the sporty looking gauges, which are arrayed across a red and silver dash. A custom console hangs a Vintage Air climate system in front of a Lokar shifter, power window switches and controls for the aforementioned air ride. Billet door handles detail completely custom side panels. The primary controls, a polished and wrapped wheel, billet pedals and a painted tilt steering column, make it very easy to get very comfortable. A shaved and upholstered trunk saves a little space for car show essentials. And items like hidden speakers, a billet mirror and a remote controlled JVC head unit round out a very nice build. The sale of this classy custom includes receipts, show pictures, a copy of the car's feature in the 2012 Goodguys yearbook, and two pictures posed with former owner Paul Teutul Sr. The Willys is an icon, no doubt about that. And this fully sorted Americar puts a highly unique spin on a very familiar face. The car's workmanship is outstanding, and I can't imagine what it would cost to build something like this from the ground up. If you're looking for a fully-sorted bruiser that's blindingly fast and aesthetically exhilarating, come in and claim your next hot rod! [email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1941 Willys Coupe Frame Off Built Dennis Taylor Coupe 413 V8 576 HP Year: 1941 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Black Mileage: 612 Transmission type: 3 Speed Automatic Engine: 413 V8 Interior color: Red Vehicle info Like fashion, the collector car market is cyclical. And, like fashion staples, there are some cars that never go out of style. For instance, you just can't go wrong with a comfortable pair of jeans. Likewise, you'll always be admired when you pull up in a ground-pounding Willys. Back in 1941, at a small automaker that was about to go through its second bankruptcy, no one would have guessed that, 73 years later, we'd think a black and silver Americar is one of the coolest street rods in our showroom. But alas, great design endures. And when great design is mixed with modern technology, it's a sure-fire bet for success! Featuring an impressive roster of components, a supple leather interior and 413 cubic inches of big block V8, this head-turning custom is poised to draw big attention and take home big trophies. It's also completely sorted, scary fast and amazingly comfortable. Forget all that nonsensical talk about boring coupes and trendy roadsters owning the next cruise season, this impressive Willys is your go-to piece for stopping the show! Okay, so it's not really an Americar and, naturally, that paint isn't a traditional single-stage that's going to dull and wash off in four years. Instead, this Willys is a high quality fiberglass tribute that's been prepped, dipped in modern two-stage and finished to a much higher standard than anything that rolled off a pre-war assembly line. The car's lightweight body was supplied by Dennis Taylor Reproductions. And while its shape is ultra-traditional, some new tweaks were added to provide a unique personality. Take a look at our high resolution photos and you'll see that every panel is as flat as Kansas, with a shine that's only found on five-figure hot rods. Custom pinstriping runs along the body's horizontal lines to separate the upper and lower halves of a metallic, two-tone paint scheme. And even though there's no mistaking a Willys, this coupe has an identity all its own thanks to careful workmanship and excellent attention to detail. When you build a stunning, ground-hugging street rod, it doesn't take much to make the car pop. That's why professional customs like this fully sorted coupe feature just enough high quality bolt-ons to create a classy and timeless appearance. At the front of the car, an intricate hood bulges above a polished grille and two original-style headlights. Behind that hood, lightly tinted glass and modern power windows sit between stylish sport mirrors. At the sides of that glass, remote suicide doors hang shaved handles in front of tough aluminum hinges. Behind those doors, a traditional trunk, old school tail lights and an "AMERICAR" branded bumper add a healthy dose of function to some of the best automotive form ever created. And overall, this car is a simple, smooth classic that carries the true hallmarks of enduring design. One thing you won't have to worry about in this Willys is power. Thanks to a big block 402, which has been punched out 11 cubic inches, this 576 horsepower monster is more than just some pretty parking lot poseur! That mill, professionally built by Big Al's Toy Box in Gaylordsville, Connecticut, eats through a pair of coated Edelbrocks, which link under a polished shotgun intake. At the base of those carburetors, a polished and Chevrolet-branded supercharger rides between polished valve covers, Pro Comp aluminum heads and hot MSD 6AL ignition. That ignition jolts an aftermarket distributor that's outfitted with an MSD Blaster coil, Accel High Temp Super Stock cables and heavy duty wire looms. That distributor spins thanks to a high quality Comp roller cam, which rides between a balanced GM crank and proven PRW roller rocker arms. Cooling is provided by a custom PCR radiator, which fronts two electric puller fans and a chrome overflow tank. Exhaust is handled by short headers, which flow to either traditional tail pipes or electronic cut-outs. And charging is provided by a polished alternator that, along with a coated PRW water pump, spins via polished pulleys and polished brackets. Aesthetically, this Willys' clean engine bay is a very impressive showpiece that's basically a sea of first rate hardware; from its chrome breathers and Mr. Gasket Thermocap all the way to its Melling oil pump and braided fluid hoses. And overall, the car displays solid workmanship that conveys a quality, tailored demeanor. Behind that fire-breathing engine, a modified Turbo-Hydramatic 350 3-speed twists torque through a 4,000 RPM stall converter to a Ford 9-inch rear end and big, 3.70 gears. That first class drivetrain is held off the ground by a custom, square-tube chassis, which is bathed in a smooth layer of Satin Black paint. At the front of that chassis, a rugged Heidts suspension, which is equipped with Unisteer rack and pinion steering and adjustable QA1 coil-overs, mixes a pleasant ride with vintage feel. At the back of the chassis, a proven 4-link suspension utilizes two more adjustable QA1s to provide drag strip-worthy launches. Serious stops counter the car's serious speed via power-assisted brakes that wrap GM-style calipers around drilled and slotted rotors. Exhaust duties are handled by custom, stainless-tipped pipes that, with the flip of a switch, growl through Flowmaster Hushpower mufflers. And keeping all this muscle rolling down the road is a slick set of Billet Specialties 15s, which spin 205/65 Uniroyal Tiger Paws in front of 31x16.50 Mickey Thompson Sportsmans. With a beefy drivetrain that's been reliably built to be both tough and fun to drive, this '41 Willys is the real deal. And with its clean floors and super impressive hardware, it'll fare well on any pavement you chose to scorch. Pop the car's lightweight doors and you'll reveal a custom-tailored cabin that makes good use of bright red leather. Modern GM buckets are coddled by color-keyed lap belts. Dolphin supplied the classy looking gauges, which are arrayed across a custom-pinstriped dash. A beefy Sunpro Super Tach III aligns itself perfectly between a small fire extinguisher, chrome rearview mirror and B&M ratchet shifter. Billet door handles and small power window switches detail completely custom side panels. The primary controls, a chrome Grant wheel, billet pedals and a tilting Ididit steering column, make it very easy to get very comfortable. And a fully upholstered trunk rounds out a very nice build. The sale of this impressive street rod includes engine specs and a dyno sheet. The Willys is an icon, no doubt about that. And this tailored Americar puts a unique spin on a very familiar face. The car's workmanship is impressive, and I can't imagine what it would cost to build something like this from the ground up. If you're looking for a fully-sorted bruiser that's blindingly fast and aesthetically exhilarating, come in and claim your next hot rod! But when it comes to a car like this 1941 Willys pro-street, a six-figure project that's wrapped in custom, jaw-dropping paint, the words "outrageous" and "ultimate" seem as closely related as "high" and "octane". Featuring a fully detailed Ram Jet 502, a custom Ultraleather interior and one of the most comprehensive builds we've ever seen, this gothic themed street rod has to be one of the coolest cars we've ever offered. So here goes: If you're looking for the ultimate opportunity to own an outrageous street rod, it doesn't get much better than this sinister Willys coupe! Rumbling into our shop in all its custom glory, this awesome Americar is one of those classics that takes multiple looks to truly appreciate. Sure, it sounds mean; but in the world of modern street rodding, building a cool Willys almost predicates 500 cubic inches. And you bet it's nice, but in the age of 21st century build techniques, seeing a super nice street rod is pretty much expected. What's not predictable or expected is being knocked out with an artistic barrage of skulls, flames and blades that rockets the car's intimidation factor right through the stratosphere! That evil yet fitting paint is actually a very dynamic blend of black, silver, beige, and custom graphics sifted from the twisted confines of Dusold Designs in Lewisville, Texas. The car's straight and smooth body was molded, laminated and accessorized at Dennis Taylor Reproductions in Booneville, Arkansas. And today, with well over six-figures spent on its world class build, this one-of-a-kind Willys will make you bust out your favorite leathers, hook up your best 'chain drive wallet' and howl at the midnight moon! When you're sporting paint like this, you don't need shiny trinkets and polished doodads to make a big impression. And on this Willys, there's no gratuitous chrome or high maintenance stainless to stand in the way of super clean bodywork. At the front of the car, a contoured hood, which greets casual motorists with a horned and saber-toothed skull, rides between original-style headlights and a conservative chrome grille. At the top of the car, lightly tinted glass, which includes modern power windows, fits snug inside fresh black weather stripping. At the sides of the car, shaved doors and small black mirrors hang over polished, side-exit exhaust pipes that look almost as good as they sound. And at the back of the car, chrome-trimmed tail lights illuminate a second skull that's intricately framed in both bones and blades. That's it.... A car this incredible doesn't have to prove itself with random baubles and bolt-ons. Speaking of outrageous; if you're having any doubts about this Willys ability to back up its loud persona, I'd encourage you to hoist its hood. Pop the latch, fling the fiberglass and you'll find 502 cubic inches of GM Performance Parts Ram Jet V8 that produces a massive 502 horsepower and an explosive 565 lb./ft. of torque. What's better: more than 500 lb./ft. of that torque is available as low as 2,500 RPM! Can you say stump puller? At the top of the big mill, amazing throttle response and modern drivability are provided by a polished ram jet intake that's jolted by a Lokar throttle cable and fronted by a reusable filter element. Beneath that intake, a cross-drilled and externally balanced steel nitride crank combines with forged pistons and forged, shot-peened and magnafluxed connecting rods to create stout 9.6 to 1 compression. And between those internals, a GMPP hydraulic roller cam works great with GM's computer-controlled speed density system. The engine's large, oval port aluminum heads hang custom-painted valve covers over attractive long-tube headers. At the back of those headers, a traditional points distributor sends spark through high performance Taylor plug wires that are loomed into billet runners. In front of those runners, a full set of billet pulleys spin fully polished accessories around a full set of billet brackets. And in front of those brackets, a 0 To Cool radiator, which is equipped with a big electric puller fan and small chrome overflow tube, barely breaks a sweat. Aesthetically, the body-matched engine bay is holding up exceptionally well. And detail items like polished lines, braided hoses, billet caps and Cool-Flex water tubes add a heavy dose of form and function. Behind that killer big block, a Lokar kick down engages a Turbo-Hydramatic 400 3-speed that, like its accompanying torque converter, was sourced directly from Hughes Performance. That proven transmission sends power to a polished driveshaft which spins a polished and painted Ford nine inch that's stuffed with road-ready gears. That first class drivetrain is held off the ground by a custom, one-off chassis which is suspended via adjustable Aldan coil overs. That custom chassis stops thanks to a Wilwood Pro Kit that utilizes four black, power-assisted calipers to squeeze big, drilled and slotted rotors. The aforementioned headers breathe into fully polished side pipes that growl through thin, glasspack-style mufflers. And keeping all this muscle rolling down the road is a slick set of painted Billet Specialties wheels which wear 25x7.50R15 Hoosier Pro Streets up front and 31x18.50R15 Hoosier Pro Streets out back. From its power rack and pinion steering to its professionally installed tubs, this sinister street rod is one of the most detailed Willys we've ever offered. The car's fully finished undercarriage is dotted with high quality components like Aeromotive fuel hardware, a finned transmission cooler and Wolo horns. And you'd better believe its beefy powertrain is more than ready to deal with the massive power being churned to its meaty rear tires! Naturally, no expense was spared on bringing this car's cozy cabin up to par with the rest of its build. The custom Ultraleather seats, which have been completed with authentic Ostrich inserts, look and feel fantastic. In front of those seats, a body-matched and skull-detailed dash hangs a full assortment of Auto Meter Pro Comp Ultra Lite gauges above controls for a Vintage Air climate system. Below that dash, a custom-built and custom-detailed console props an MP3 compatible Alpine CD/DVD player in front of a snazzy B&M Street Bandit shifter. At the base of that console, chrome-trimmed pedals arc over like-new carpet that's protected by carpeted and color-keyed floor mats. At the sides of that carpet, custom door panels hang billet handles inside fully detailed jams. Above those panels, a custom headliner hides prerequisite Ron Francis wiring behind a center-mount DVD monitor. In front of the driver, a polished tilt steering column spins a painted and leather wrapped wheel around a skull-branded horn button. And behind the passengers, high quality Alpine audio components front a leather-lined trunk that's complete with a polished stainless fuel tank. The sale of this bone-crushing street rod includes a small stack of component manuals. With massive power, attitude for miles and great fit and finish all wrapped up in a classic Willys shape, this Americar is one top notch street rod! Not weighed down by "me too" or trendy components, it's a car that will stand the test of time and turn heads for years to come. If you're the kind of bold enthusiast who likes to walk on the edge, this slick coupe presents an outrageous opportunity!
