This 1959 Willy's Jeep was restored by my father-in-law 37 years ago. Garage kept. 1980 Buick 225 Odd Fire engine has very little time on it. Three speed with auxiliary stick for four wheel Drive. Best I can tell the frame and transmission are original. Body is Cherry red fiberglass. Runs very well and is faster than you would want to go in an old army jeep. Tons of fun and eye catching for the right collector. Lots of extras, we have parts, rag top, door windows, hubs, carburetor, body parts, etc... These all go with the sale. Engine millage very low. Installed new in 1980 and barely run. May be under 1,000 miles. My father-in-law was injured shortly after the install of new engine and was unable to drive. Unknown body and drive train millage.

Regretfully selling my beloved 1959 Willys Jeep CJ5. This Jeep has been 100% disassembled and restored to original condition. All steel body with absolutely no rust whatsoever. Frame was sandblasted and painted with POR-15, and every detail has been taken care of. Here is all the information... THE GOODFully restored 100%All steel body. Painted in President Red (the original color) using base coat/clear coat and hand polished to a mirror shineOriginal engine and drive train -- F-head 4 cyl engine with 3 speed manual transmission, 4 wheel drive with high/low rangeBeautifully upholstered seats matching the original style, color, and stitchingKept as original as possible down to the vacuum wiper motor (passenger wiper is manual)5 brand new radial tiresCompletely rewired using reproduction original style wiring harnessEverything mechanical has been gone through and rebuilt or replacedDraws a crowd at car shows and parking lotsSeat belts were added, although not required by law.Kept it as original as I could. The only modernization or customization I did was the use of stainless hardware for appearance, radial tires, and Petronix electronic ignition conversion.WORTH NOTINGIt's an old Jeep so needless to say there are a few leaks. Mostly the front differential (which I honestly believe mostly comes from the breather cap) and transfer case. As for the transfer case, I think the pinion needs to be removed and some sealant put on the splines.The vacuum wiper motor barely works. It has a leak and parts are not available for them. I have a couple of spare motors but never got around to rebuilding them. Since I never drive it in the rain, I was not motivated to spend time on it.It is the original drive train so don't plan on driving down the freeway at 70 MPH. Top speed is about 50. Remember, this has the original manual steering and non-power brakes so wouldn't want to go any faster anyway. That said, she will cruise down a four lane at 50 MPH quite nicely. No shakes, shimmies, or pulling.The paint is very nice, well above average. I'd give it an A- because there are a few blemishes but hardly noticeable. There is one scratch next to the tailgate that is visible in the photos. There is a paint blemish on the driver's side under the JEEP logo -- tried to get a picture but it wouldn't show up, which tells you how hard it is to spot.The Jeep starts and runs like a top. However, it is slightly cold blooded and takes a while to get warmed up. Once warmed up, though, it runs like a sewing machine.Gauge cluster was replaced with an original OEM model with zero miles on the odometer. Has about 300 miles on it now. Fuel gauge works fine but the temperature gauge does not seem to work so an aftermarket one was added below the dash along with an oil pressure gauge (originally just had an idiot light for oil pressure, which works but I don't trust it.)Occasionally has a vibration coming from, I think, the clutch. Happens when the clutch is disengaged and the engine is idle. Does not happen all the time and is very random. Goes away when the clutch pedal is released and then pushed in again. Again, very random. I have receipts, paperwork, and lots of photos of the restoration process. Please ask me if you have any questions. Jeep is located north of Philadelphia and you are welcome to come check it out before you buy. If buyer wants it shipped, I will gladly work with the shipper but buyer will have to make all the arrangements. I spent two years restoring this Jeep. I truly hate to sell it. Why am I selling? Now that it is done, I want another project but do not have room in the garage. I guess I can't have my cake and eat it too :( I restored this myself and did everything except the upholstery, sandblasting, and transmission rebuild. A machine shop did all the engine block work including boring the cylinders and turning the crank. Head was gone through by the machine shop and had new valve guides installed, new camshaft, new valves, etc. Engine is better than new. This was not restored by a professional shop. However, this was not my first build and I take pride in my work. You will not be disappointed. ALSO INCLUDED IN THE SALEBrand new soft top, still in the box and never installed.Misc parts and accessories. I have the original heater controls. Heater box was reinstalled but without the heater core. Controls were never reinstalled or restored.Please do not insult me with low ball offers. I do not need to sell. I have a Very nice complete 1959 Willys Jeep CJ5 with, 1966 V6 225 Buick Special Engine in Excellent Running Condition with Key and Title. This Jeep needs some exhaust work and it is ready to roll. I put new tune-up on it and it runs like a top, this V6 sounds cool. The exhaust work needed is putting the passenger manifold on, I have new gaskets and the bolts are there, and hooking up the 2 exhausts. The passenger side needs about a 12" piece from the manifold to the pipes as shown. Has a lift kit and 32" tires, the tires need replaced, I have the 4th matching wagon wheel with out tire that goes with it. Has been re-done at one time and what a nice V6 conversion. Will need a battery, slightly larger fuel gauge to fit the dash hole, and I don't think the speedometer is working. Has a nice 8000 pound Ramsey winch on the front as shown, and the PTO shaft is there as shown, looks like it could use a replacement center carrier bearing or support for the shaft, maybe not? Has working PTO and lever. This should be a wonderful easy restoration project, good solid body and frame, no rust from this wonderful Colorado climate. Speedometer shows 21,802 miles. I can easily and safely pack the exhaust parts in the back of the Jeep if you want to schedule transport. I purchased 25 of these jeeps awhile ago from a collector and realize I cannot complete them all. Hello, I have this 1959 CJ5 Willys Jeep i want to sell, it runs strong and all running gear works the way it should, The clutch cable that goes from the Pedal to the Throughout Bearing arm cable snapped while I was driving it, and never fixed the cable, so a new cable will need to be put on the jeep, one of the pictures shows where the cable broke. For one thing, attention to detail is always paramount, and with time not usually being a factor, nothing gets “rushed” to completion. This amazing JEEPSTER was built over the course of a few years, and was completed in 2005. After a couple 1,200 mile plus cruises, and more than a few awards and trophies, it was refreshed and upgraded again in 2014, and driven a few more thousand miles. It has got to be one of the BEST running, MOST reliable, and ISSUE-FREE vehicles we have ever come across, and it drives like a dream on the Interstate as well as in town. The first thing that catches your attention is the stance. Most of the JEEPSTERS you see are stock versions, and they sit so high it seems awkward. This JEEPSTER has the perfect combination of lowering, rake, and wheels to give it just the right stance from any angle. Heidt’s supplied the control arms to go with the drop spindles, MUSTANG II steering rack, and FATMAN’S 9” disc brakes up front. In the back, a GM 10-Bolt got new bearings and seals with a 3.73 gear set before being mounted with a set of air-adjustable GABRIEL Hi-Jackers in the back. The air shocks allow you to adjust it down as low as you want for shows and cruising, and quickly air it up to support 4 adults on a trip to town. Either way, the ride and handling is PERFECT, and it does everything the way it should with no bottoming out, wallowing, excess body roll, or any other issues. Seriously, it rides like a new car! Chrome CRAGAR “Star” rims are like new, and wrapped in COOPER COBRA 60 series tires size P205/60R15 with PLENTY of tread left for cruising or a Power Tour! They are a 4 ¾” bolt pattern. The finish on the JEEPSTER is DuPont 5026LH 1970 Corvette “Daytona Yellow”, and it is the PERFECT color to set this machine apart from the pack! Even 10 years since completed, it still shows glossy, slick, and wet looking from every angle, and just the normal amount of light marks and blemishes you would expect on any vehicle priced under $50,000. Yes, I am talking about a hairline paint crack, light scuffs, tiny stone chips from road debris, and other little things 99% of the cars for sale have. There is NO sign of any dents, stone chips larger than a few eighths of an inch, or anything like that. Just your basic light use marks that any car driven a few thousand miles on the freeway and in town might get. Prior to paint, the body was stripped to bare metal, blasted, and some extensive customization was done to it. It was channeled 5” over the frame to help with the stance, and get it down low without sacrificing ride quality. The front gravel shield was professionally molded and seamed into the body. All of the fender seams and welting were bypassed by welding the fenders into the body from behind, and doing away with the seam line on the exterior. Fenders were also smoothed, rolled, extended, and shaped in lead and metal. Custom LED lights were cut into the body, with the 3rd brake light replacing the original spare tire mount location. The original fuel filler was removed and replaced with metal, and a new JEEP WRANGLER chrome fuel flap was installed to access the modern poly fuel cell the Jeepster has now. Most of the trim and badging was removed, as were the side steps, spare tire rack, and other items. All of this work is remarkable, and truly a testament to what I said earlier about an OWNER/BUILDER taking the time to do things right, without rushing and cutting any corners. The level of attention given to the metal, lead, filler, and glass work on the car is amazing. The bright work that does remain looks very good, and the bumpers still have the “Willys Overland” stamping in them in case the youngsters at the car show don’t know what it is! Glass in the windshield and side vents is in exceptional condition, and the modern electric wipers work together with a RAIN-X treatment to keep things clear when you are on the road. All the glass is re-tinted from the manufacturer as well. The entire convertible top, and the front and rear side panels for it, are like BRAND NEW, and have no rips, tears, seam pulls, or any other issues. The windows in them are clean and damage free, and the entire top was all new in 2010 when the prior owner decided to redo the interior and top. The top goes up and down with ease, has a zip down rear window for easy ventilation, and plenty of room to store all of the side panels which install in seconds. Everything seals up really well, and one of my FIRST experiences driving this Jeepster had me battling about two hours of some of the most torrential downpours Florida gets while travelling on the Interstate. You know what? It kept things dry and water free, except for the first 5 miles until I realized I hadn’t put the front screens into the window channel like I was supposed to! After that, smooth sailing! From full down to full up with screens takes one person about 5 minutes. Two people can do it in about 3. When the top was replaced, the prior owner decided to redo the previously stock style interior with a little more “hot rod” style flair, so Buick Regal bucket seats were sourced for the front, cut down and shaped, and then upholstered to match the Jeep CJ-5 rear seat, which was also cut and shaped to look perfect in its new home. With the 5” channel over the frame, great care was taken to make sure the seat brackets were cut down and customized to allow you to sit inside without being up too high. They got it JUST RIGHT, because I am 5’11”, and it feels like I am sitting in a regular stock Jeepster. I have had several, so I can make that comparison. New door panels and side trim pieces were also crafted for it, and everything got treated to a retro-flavored white pleat design with blue accents on the door and side panels and blue piping on the seats to match the blue, automotive grade carpeting that was installed over a layer of sound and heat proofing material. The convertible top boot was custom made for the vehicle, and when in place, it really looks fantastic on the car, and hides the entire top and mechanics of it. Dash is a cleanly reworked original unit, fit with original badging, AM-FM Stereo with cassette in a single DIN chassis, and full set of FARIA Chronos I series gauges to monitor Oil Pressure, Volts, and Water Temp, with a large, center mounted Speedometer with working Odometer. Equus supplies the fuel gauge for the most accurate reading from the modern sending unit that came with the custom poly tank. VINTAGE AIR temperature control knob is unobtrusive on the dash, and provides robust heat for those cool evening cruises! A LOKAR chrome E-Brake lever is functional and looks great with its black boot sitting next to the real GENNIE Shifter. The shifter has a vintage HURST base plate that looks amazing, and it is topped with a custom made smoked clear shift knob with WILLYS STREET ROD inside it! A GM tilt column is topped with a LeCarra white leather wrapped wheel with aluminum bars, and it all works and looks great! Rear view and side view mirrors all work together to get rid of blind spots, regardless of it the top is up or down, and they look great too! Last, but not least, a vintage workman lunch pail has been affixed to the passenger side kick panel area for use as a glove box! It is painted to match, and looks and works great! Pop open the hood, and you are greeted by a clean and simple engine bay where function takes precedent, but form wasn’t forgot either! The engine was a 305ci block sourced from a 1977 Chevy Impala prior to being stripped, cleaned, and rebuilt with all new internals back in 2005. It was refreshed and tuned up in 2013 prior to a long trip, and currently has a GM HEI distributor, Holly 4-Barrel 600cfm carb, Accel plug wires and AC Delco plugs with gap set at .045, SBC polished aluminum tall finned valve covers, hi-flow Corvette water pump with new thermostat, Edelbrock intake with breather, GM HD alternator, and all new belts and hoses as of 2013 too. There is just enough chrome and bright stuff underneath to look good, like chrome breathers, hardware, and a Corvette 7” power brake booster and master cylinder with equalizer, but not so much that you need to spend more time cleaning it than driving it! It breathes out thanks to a custom made Aluminized exhaust system installed in 2014 to give it a bit more growl, and includes MAGNA-FLOW mufflers and chrome exhaust tips. Engine power goes to a 1978 GM 350 Turbo Transmission which was refurbished in 2010, and it is a mild build with no crazy shift kits or anything like that. I covered the suspension, rear end, and steering at the top of the listing, so I will touch on the driving experience after mentioning that the whole chassis is pretty clean, but since it was made to drive, it is not something you will park over mirrors at Cobo Hall anytime soon. Most of it is painted in chassis black, and everything looks good, but there is no sign of chrome or billet to be found underneath it. The JEEPSTER starts with a turn of the GM key in the column. Pump the gas one time, hit the key, and VRRROOOOOM! You are ready to go! Idle is clean and smooth thanks to the mild build on the motor, and when it’s cold out, the idle rolls back as it should. It sounds like a Hot Rod should, with a nice rumble at idle, and good little bark on the throttle. Go listen to a 2007 or newer Corvette, and you’ll have a pretty good idea of how it sounds. Snick the GENNIE shifter into gear, and it is ready to roll wherever you want to go. Power is smooth and solid, and even though it is a 305ci motor, it is PLENTY of power to move this lightweight machine down the road in a hurry! Yes, if you are in the mood for shenanigans, a firm right foot with set the back tires spinning, so don’t worry! Shifts are smooth and clean, with no jerking or harshness. Highway friendly gearing makes 70mph a breeze on the highway, and you can command things with one hand on the wheel. It tracks straight and true, and the brakes work together to scrub off speed without any odd modulation or excessive fade. Feedback from gas and brake pedals is really good, as is steering wheel responsiveness. It is easy to turn, and handles low speeds just as easily as highway speeds. All of the lights work on the car, including headlights, high beams, parking lights, the new LED 3rd brake lamp, and the new 4” round 10 LED tail lights. A vacuum operated Hide-A-Plate works great, and has an override switch to tuck it up or down while driving for situations demanding a stealthy presence. The wiring throughout the car is EZ WIRE, and includes a GM fuse box. It is all carefully laid out and installed, and each wire is label stamped for ease of servicing. The battery is a DURALAST 12v unit installed in mid-2014, and it performs without issue. The car has no known faults at this time, and has been safety checked and driven to make sure it was ready for sale. I personally have put over 115 miles on the car, in a mix of freeway and in-town driving, and find it to be my “go-to” car if I want to take something home from the store. It does NOT overheat, thanks to a factory look radiator from Walck’s that has all the modern bits needed to keep a cool head, a perfect fan set up, and good thermostat. It doesn’t jump over 196 degrees even in the Florida heat. It has not been leaking, weeping, or leaving its mark on the floor during my time with it, and when I had it up on the lift, I did not see any sign of prior leaking or issues either. It comes with all the printed specifics and part numbers/I.D. numbers supplied by the prior owner and builder. It comes with a copy of an appraisal performed on the car. It comes with two keys for the ignition, as it does not have door keys. This is a great machine for someone who doesn’t want to work on a car. If you want something you can drive, and then hook to a battery tender until you drive it again, it is probably the right one for you. If you need a Street Rod that will win a trophy or two, but then let you DRIVE IT to the next State over to win some more trophies, this is the one for you. I have reluctantly decided to sell my toy to finance my hotrod build. 1951 Willys M38, This is a old Socal build. I bought this with the intentions of painting it and making it purty. However I fell in love with its 60's metallic gold color and imperfect nature. California assigned VIN, unknown mileage, with a early 80's 4 bolt main 350 chevy with late 60's camel hump heads. cast iron intake with a holley 4BBl. new HEI ignition, corvette radiator and corvette Harrison tank. rebuilt T-18 trans with Dana 18 Transfercase and Warn Overdrive. New clutch, flywheel, Ramshorn manifolds, with brand new Dual exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers. (SOUNDS GREAT). Stock axles with 5:38 gears. NOS warn locking hubs, new bearings, new tie rod ends. Very nice Power steering conversion. New Lecarra steering wheel on a old tilt column. Has oversized M38 gas tank, Stock seats (could use new covers). Hella H4 conversion head lights, LED tail lights, Mismatch VDO and SW gauges. Just installed a NEW Rancho 2.5" lift with 1/2" warrior shackles and New Rancho Shocks. Very nice wiring with sealed junction boxes and HD battery cables. Has 4 decent 33x12.50x15 Yokohama MT tires and a BFG spare. ALSO has 5 Eagle 589 wheels with Champion beadlocks (these are REAL beadlocks). Roll Cage with a Custom made bikini top. (no full top, but they are still avail via bestop) This is one awesome Willys. Licensed and insured, I drive it very often. It has a trainload of power. Will EASILY smoke the 33" tires, Will definitely get your attention if you put your foot in it. Cruises very nice, NOT a highway vehicle, the 5:38s to much for highway speeds, but will cruise back road and run 55 fine. This is NOT a vehicle for a teenage driver. Hunt, Fish, cruise, do smokey burnouts..... she has it all! The body is mostly rust free, I know there is a screed coat of filler over body. Albeit not rusty, just the way they did custom paint back in the day. There is a hole in the tool box (under pass seat), where the top hat is underneath. I am sure there is some more here and there under that gold paint, BUT that paint has been there for a while. It has a CJ2A hood, however I do have the M38 hood that was modified for a poke through air cleaner (its garbage basically) original tailgate and tub. VERY nice custom made rear bumper with swing out tire carrier, and a front tow bar. The firewall was modified to fit the GM distributor. Upper edge was pinch welded and done in the 60's. I do restore Jeeps for a living and this one is one of my favorites. I REALLY wanted to keep it, but I need to finance my 48 Jeepster build. Ahh the reality that I can not keep them all..... The instrument panel has all new wiring, and surround and all the gauges, directionals and lights work correctly. The steering wheel is in great shape too! The Drivetrain components are the original units it was born with and all have been rebuilt. The VJ-3 4-63 four-cylinder, 134ci engine runs perfectly with no smoking, noise or issues. The manual transmission and transfer case all work perfectly too! It’s a 3-speed transmission with low range selector for off road needs. The clutch does not slip and the tranny shifts smoothly in all gears. All the axles have been rebuilt from end to end and aftermarket lockout hubs installed. The Undercarriage is in super-clean condition! Just a very nice show piece from top to bottom! The floor pans and frame are original and in GREAT condition! It also has a new exhaust system. New 7.00 x16” Military tires plus a set of 5 original 15” steel civilian wheels. Trailer is a civilian model which is basically the same as a military model except for the frame which is not as beefed up for extreme off road use. I'd drive this Jeep just about anywhere my heart desires.-Rebuilt 134 4 Cyl factory motor (receipt from 2003, has est 3000 miles on that motor) It sat for years and owner felt it was better to rebuild/recon-Factory 3 speed trans, new clutch at engine rebuild, works perfectly-I just installed new shifter boots for all shifters-I cover the gauges within the video-Comes with the matching black California plates-This Willys has been a driver from 2003 till today, basically to shows and a parade-Steering is perfect, no wandering or noticeable wear-Brakes are perfect, steers straight and brakes just as straight-Brand military tires from Firestone, they have less than 5 miles on them-Comes with a bad spare and I have the 5th matching wheel but it has a standard radial tire on it not shown, this will come in the bed-Lights work, no blinkers, needs front marker lights, brake lights work-Split window folds down correctly and it pops out correctly-Hood latches correctly-Trans and t-case show signs of older leaks and seepage yet I see zero drips on my shop floor after a week of sitting in the same spot, after a few weeks I'll get a drip or two-The entire drivetrain of this Jeep is much quieter than most of these I've owned-Seats are very comfortable, frame may or may not be factory from that era, but I know for sure the design is later model-Fresh paint from 2003, minor nicks, scratches, from normal use-Body is in great condition, I'm sure there's been repairs in the past, Blue Belle is painted on-In video I say 100% cancer free but after further review I see a very very small spots under floors in the body supports, see pics-Solid orig floors zero cancer in floors-Wiper works off vacuum but could use new blade, it hangs up a little due to this-Still a six volt system that has the factory floor push button starter-Runs cool never hot-Purs, zero motor noise that isn't ordinary-Please note the only reason the driver and passenger floors are painted is because the blue paint was worn from shoes and I felt it looked better to just paint them black, floors are solid-I can't explain exhaust routing. Not that it drives like a 2014 but it drives like a very low miles 1948. I'd drive this Jeep just about anywhere my heart desires. -Rebuilt 134 4 Cyl factory motor (receipt from 2003, has est 3000 miles on that motor) It sat for years and owner felt it was better to rebuild/recon -Factory 3 speed trans, new clutch at engine rebuild, works perfectly -I just installed new shifter boots for all shifters -I cover the gauges within the video -Comes with the matching black California plates -This Willys has been a driver from 2003 till today, basically to shows and a parade -Steering is perfect, no wandering or noticeable wear -Brakes are perfect, steers straight and brakes just as straight -Brand military tires from Firestone, they have less than 5 miles on them -Comes with a bad spare and I have the 5th matching wheel but it has a standard radial tire on it not shown, this will come in the bed -Lights work, no blinkers, needs front marker lights, brake lights work -Split window folds down correctly and it pops out correctly -Hood latches correctly -Trans and t-case show signs of older leaks and seepage yet I see zero drips on my shop floor after a week of sitting in the same spot, after a few weeks I'll get a drip or two -The entire drivetrain of this Jeep is much quieter than most of these I've owned -Seats are very comfortable, frame may or may not be factory from that era, but I know for sure the design is later model -Fresh paint from 2003, minor nicks, scratches, from normal use -Body is in great condition, I'm sure there's been repairs in the past, Blue Belle is painted on -In video I say 100% cancer free but after further review I see a very very small spots under floors in the body supports, see pics -Solid orig floors zero cancer in floors -Wiper works off vacuum but could use new blade, it hangs up a little due to this -Still a six volt system that has the factory floor push button starter -Runs cool never hot -Purs, zero motor noise that isn't ordinary -Please note the only reason the driver and passenger floors are painted is because the blue paint was worn from shoes and I felt it looked better to just paint them black, floors are solid -I can't explain exhaust routing.
