I have a neat old 1962 Willys 4x4 wagon that had lots of work done a few years ago. Its not perfect but it looks great and drives nice. The original engine was completely rebuilt at a cost of over $3500 and it has less than 3000k miles it runs like a watch. I drive it a few times a month and the brakes clutch and steering are great it tops out at about 50mph. The tires are 31" mt that were new when the engine and restoration was done. It has a high end custom stereo with big speakers and amp. It needs electrical work the blinkers stereo wipers and heater dont come on it had sat a couple years so it will need some tinkering and the paint is far from perfect but it gets compliments every time i drive it. It has a little rust in the tailgate but the body seems good and solid and the floors look good. Please call or text me before you buy. I have a clean Washington State title and it is licensed. 253-740-4604 Thanks,Keith

1960 Willy's Jeep Wagon Overland6 cyl "Super Hurricane" engine3 speed manual transmission4X4 I am listing this for a neighbor who has owned it the past 5 years. The Jeep was repainted in 1997 and it appears that there were panels cut out and replaced back then. It was obviously professionally done and the paint still shines nice today. It is starting to show its age. There is minor rust starting to show on the insides of doors. It has had a lot of new parts put on it over the last 5 years he has had it. Recently, a new clutch, carb rebuild, and new exhaust from the manifold back. The 6 volt system is still intact. The Jeep comes with the original owner's manual, spare tire and jack. It starts right up and runs like it should. It does have an oil leak or two but the engine is completely as it was in 1960. All the glass is excellent. The original radio even worked until last year. The Jeep was originally purchased new in Missouri and this makes him the 3rd owner of it. The rig is very roadworthy (he takes it to car shows 50 miles away), however he recommends trailering it long distances. I will handle all offers, emails, phone calls, etc. and will do my best to answer any questions. He works away from home and I can be around anytime to show the Willy's. Feel free to call. Thanks. 1962 Willys wagon. The paint\prep job looks kind of rookie, a good 25 footer. Was repainted several years ago and never completed. Has had floor work in the past and could use some more. I was told all the glass and wood for the cargo area was all there. The back is full of parts. Has a 305 chevy motor installed. The PO told me it was going together and the engine did run, but nothing is hooked up now. Still has the orig manual 3 spd trans\DANA18 case. DANA 27\DANA44 (3.54 ratio) in it and comes with extra DANA 27\44 (4.27 ratio)front and rear diffs. Someone put late 80/early 90 Chevy truck seats in, but not attached. No title. Listed locally so may end sale at any time. You can call\txt 616-490-3356

We found this rare 1950 Willy's-Overland Jeepster VJ-473 being stored in a heated barn in North Dakota for many years, bought it for nearly $10,000, and had it shipped to Michigan. We put $5,700 into it to get it "driveable". Having had so much fun driving it and knowing what an important part of history this was, we decided to invest in making it concourse ready. We shipped it to Florida and put nearly $39,000 into it where no expense was spared ...and it is beautiful! Since that time, we have only driven it 126 miles and it has been stored in our heated garage in. After World War II, Jeep trademark owner, Willys, believed that the market for the military-type Jeep would be limited to farmers and foresters, therefore they began producing the "CJ" (or Civilian Jeep) to fill this growing segment. Willys then began producing the new Jeep Wagon in 1946, and then the Jeep Truck in 1947. Realizing a gap in their product lineup, Willys developed the Jeepster to crossover from their "utilitarian" type truck vehicles, to the passenger automobile market. In the process, the automaker developed the Jeepster, "one of America's most daring postwar automobile designs." Willys-Overland lacked the machinery to form deep-drawn fenders or complicated shapes, so the vehicle had to use a simple and slab-sided design. Industrial designer Brooks Stevens styled a line of postwar vehicles for Willys using a common platform that included the Jeep pickup and station wagon, as well as a sporty two-door open car that he envisioned as a sports car for veterans of World War II. The 1950 model year saw the first styling revisions that included a redesigned front end featuring a V-shaped grille with horizontal chrome trim, and a new dashboard. New engines and designations dependent on what part of the year it was. Early 1950s four-cylinder Jeepsters were VJ-3 463, and the straight-six Jeepsters were VJ-3 663. The later-year Jeepsters were VJ-473 and VJ-673, respectively. Total 1950 Jeepster production was 5,845 units, of which 4,066 were four-cylinder models and 1,779 were sixes. This is the last phaeton made my a major automotive manufacturer. Here is a list of work completed during the restoration: Body and Paint ($9,500) Under coating ($950) Floor pans and rockers Chassi restoration ($3,000) Engine work ($1,200) Trans and rear end Complete New Chrome ($5,400) Steering wheel restoration New wiring ($950) (2) seat belts New Interior and carpet (Tan/Tan) ($2,100) New top New Side Curtains New parts ($4,200) New tire and hub caps and rings ($2,400) All new glass and rubber All new interior panels Drive shaft repair Steering box repair New turn signals Gauge restoration Chrome steering column ($1,200) Dash trim Replace Shifter box New Visors Floor pans, rust repair, both sides New Clutch 12 Volt Voltage Reg Gauge Restoration Rail Switch Water pump Steering wheel restoration Plugs and Wires Head light bulbs / 12 volt 12V-6V Convertor Heater Heater Switch Heater Value hoses and clamps New wood top bow rear tack strip for top Install top / Boot Wiper motor rebuild Balance Paid for Restoration: $38,908.25

The Willys Jeep Station Wagon was first introduced by Willys-Overland in 1946. Arguably the first sport utility vehicle in the world to gain mass appeal, the lineup had much to offer with four wheel drive, easy maintenance, ample space, and safety. In 1950, the flat grille was modified to form a pointed “V” in the center, with 5 horizontal bars added to the 9 vertical ribs. Engine options changed in this year, with the 4 cylinder, "F4-134 Hurricane" for the 473 model. The L134 Go Devil engine was updated with the F-head to become the F4-134 Hurricane in 1950. This engine is an inline-4 piston engine and also powered the famous Jeep CJ in the CJ-3B, CJ-5, and CJ-6 models. An inlet-over-exhaust configuration, or "F-head" allows the valves to be larger and the combustion chamber to be smaller, improving flow and increasing the compression ratio to 7.5:1 in the Hurricane engine. This engine produced a gross output of 75 hp at 4,000 rpm and 114 pound force-feet of torque at 2,000 rpm with a 7.5:1 compression ratio. This vehicle came from one of the dryest states in the Union "NEW MEXICO" and has been enclosed in a hangar ever since. I do not have a title for it, I selected salvage in the dropdown box because there isn't a selection for "lost". This vehicle needs restoration because it has sat idle since the 1980s. Has a great Patina to it and I would clear coat it only if I was to build it out. Rust is limited to the front floor boards and at the bottom of each door. Nothing difficult to repair. It is the perfect vehicle for a doing whatever you may want. It could be brought back to stock because very little is missing. It could become a rat rod, or a surfer's beach wagon. Your choice! I do have the 2 seats and the tailgate. Will add pictures soon. Email through EBay with questions or if you want to come see it. You can't find one this rust free on the east coast. Got to go west and shipping isn't cheap. Keep that in mind please. You will save thousands however in rust repair, headaches and time. Not sure why it was parked. May run with some work on the engine. Just never know until you buy it and get to having fun! I am not a dealer, this is a hobby for me. I buy dry cars/trucks from out west, ship them to Florida and have fun with them. I build some, sell some, drive some. All are for sale at any time to make room for others I have my eye on. On May-11-14 at 09:11:12 PDT, seller added the following information: I have now added the pictures of the seats and the tailgate.

Following the end of WWII, the Willys-Overland company chairman recognized the importance of expanding its offerings to include a civilian passenger car, and with the help of industrial designer Brooks Stevens, presented a model more likely to appeal to younger market segments. The original Jeepster (VJ) was first released to the public on April 3, 1948. It was powered by the Go Devil 62 hp, 134 cu in straight-4 engine, with 3-speed manual transmission (with optional overdrive), drum brakes, a single transverse leaf spring suspension and rear driveline similar to what was used in the Willys Station Wagon at the time. With rear fenders like those used on the Willys Truck, the Jeepster, while appreciated by design critics, was not a best seller at the time. In the recent years, the Jeepster has really gained a huge following by many classic car enthusiasts. The rustic look and casual curb appeal of the Willy's Jeepster has catapulted it's popularity in the last decade. It seems to have wide spread approval that span generations from teens to baby boomers. About this Jeepster: This Jeepster is, for the most part, a well preserved and original car that has had whatever mechanical and cosmetic repairs/light restoration done along the way in order to keep it looking and running it's best. It has seen a coat of paint that looks to be a few years old but holding up very nicely as the previous owners have kept it stored in a clean, dry environment. The over all condition is very good considering it's originality. It is fully functional with a great running engine, a smooth shifting manual transmission, a nice convertible top, a clean looking interior and features that are working such as lights and gauges. It's ready to enjoy by the next lucky owner. Please call 941-928-2339 www.americanclassiccarsales.com. We buy, sell, trade, consign, arrange shipping and financing. Start Slideshow Stop Slideshow Next Image Previous Image The Jeepster was an automobile originally produced by Willys-Overland Motors from 1948 to 1950. It was the last true phaeton produced by a major automaker. After World War II, Jeep trademark owner, Willys, believed that the market for the military-type Jeep would be limited to farmers and foresters, therefore they began producing the "CJ,” or Civilian Jeep, to fill this growing segment. Willys then began producing the new Jeep Wagon in 1946, and then the Jeep Truck in 1947. Realizing a gap in their product lineup, Willys developed the Jeepster to crossover from their "utilitarian" type truck vehicles, to the passenger automobile market. In the process, the automaker developed the Jeepster, "one of America's most daring postwar automobile designs."MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to offer the handsome 1948 Willys Jeepster you see pictured. This particular classic Jeepster has been owned by the same family since 1970. This family has spent over $20,000 on the car bringing it back to life over the years. The family says that it’s only been adult driven and is ready to move onto its next family.Finished in yellow with a black canvas removable top, the paint is in good condition, showing only a few minor rock chips and faint scratches here and there. The removable top is in good condition, showing no signs of wear or staining. The back of the Jeepster has the spare tire mount upon an extended bumper. Overall, this Willys shows well and looks great! Inside, the interior is finished in black vinyl. The front seats show minimal imperfections and the backseats are in excellent condition. The black carpet is in good shape as well. The dashboard has been color matched to the exterior of the car and only shows minor paint chipping on the steering column. The dash houses all of the original gauges and they look great! Under the hood, you’ll find an 292 cubic inch Chevrolet Inline 6 in a tidy engine bay. Attached to the engine is an automatic transmission. The Willys sits upon a set of 15” color matched steel wheels with chrome Willys hubcaps wrapped in 6.70-15 tires. The VIN is 75394 and the mileage currently shows 29,276. It is being sold on a clean and clear Nebraska title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
