This is a Yamaha 2-cycle magneto flywheel / magnet wheel (still very strong and in good condition) and included the backing plate, a points set and coil (that I would use for extra parts as I have no way of testing - so it's a parts-only bargain) I needed a CDI based set-up so this won't work for me and am selling this for what I paid. These vintage parts are getting hard to find so if you have a points based magneto, you may want to have a spare. I have seen complete new ones costing many hundreds of dollars, and I am selling this for $65!

Classic 81 Yamaha DT175 Enduro This is a Street legal 2 stroke Dual purpose bike The bike is in Excellent condition and runs great When I purchased this bike in 2011 it had not run since 1991. I completely dissembled the engine and reassembled it to make sure everything was good. I am a professional motorcycle builder so I decided to modify the engine to look completely stock but run like a hotrod. The bike stock is about 15HP this one is more like 20HP. Rev's out higher and quicker and pulls strong throughout the entire RPM range. Engine modifications; -Professionally ported cylinder -Reworked milled head -Oversize reed block ( Yamaha Banshee ) -26mm Mikuni Carburetor ( looks like stock 2mm larger ) -Modified exhaust system ( For more RPM's ) -Modified silencer ( more free flowing ) -First oversize Yamaha piston Please ask all Questions before bidding. This is the prize of my collection and why I saved it for last to sell. It has a lot of sentimental value to me but I am reluctantly selling it for personal health reasons. I bought this (and the 75 DT175 you will see in some of the pics) from a collector years ago when he was selling his collection, some of which are in a museum today in California. It is flawless. Everything works as new, and you can just put gas in it and ride it as new if you wish. I have done this a few times, and just this week after deciding to sell it. I loved this one the most, to remissness my youth when I had this bike when it was new. Not much to say here, pictures do not do it justice, but tell the condition I think and were just taken from my iphone. 1653 original miles. I have had many dealerships, even a Harley dealership offer to buy it over the years but I could never part with it, but its time I let it go, I could almost cry. Ok I'll briefly tell the story here, I was a poor kid and my mother worked 2 jobs, sears and checking groceries and I somehow talked her into buying me this, but we were so poor we could not make the $35 p/month payment and it was repossessed, I almost died. So after many years of looking, I found it just like it was when It was new, and I would have paid twice as much as I did to get it, so I think I got a deal on it really. Anyway, it has always been stored indoors in climate and humidity controlled environment , hence, seat, rubber, etc is soft, not dry or cracked and everything as it was new. I paid just under 5k so that is about what i would like to get for it. This and the 175 are the last of my collection of 27 Yamaha's all 2 strokes mostly enduros. If you are interested in the 175 I will make a small price break for the convenience of selling them both together and that will be the end of my collecting my favorite 2 stroke bikes ever. I loved just admiring them. Its been fun. I will try and answer any questions within reason or my ability. Clear title in hand, one key. Thanks for looking.
