NO TITLE!!! I'm forced to choose a title status, but as we all know, most old dirt bikes were never issued titles. I bought this from the original owner...he never had a title for it! NO SHIPPING / CRATING!!! THE BIKE MUST BE PICKED UP HERE IN NEWVILLE, PA (CLOSE TO HARRISBURG) WITHIN 2 WEEKS. I PREFER TO BE PAID IN CASH...IF I DON'T HAVE TO GIVE MONEY TO PAYPAL, I'LL TAKE LESS FOR THE BIKE! My 14 year old son and I cleaned this bike up as a winter project (I've owned a successful bike repair shop for 15 years). My friend was teaching motorcycle repair at YTI, and one of his students was selling this bike (his father bought it new in 1973). The "numbers matching" bike still has all of it's original parts (except for the tires, front brake cable, chain and gas cap). It was in great shape when we started. We took it mostly apart, blasted, cleaned and painted what needed it while trying to retain originality...IT IS NOT A CONCOURS OR PROFESSIONAL RESTORATION...we are amateurs at best. The front brake cable is used from a GT80, and the gas cap is from Yamaha. We had to repair the hose nipple on the bottom of the oil tank (they're expensive)...we used basically a valve stem for a mag type wheel (very proud of the job...it came out well). The topend was off and looked very good, we cleaned it up and put it back together...it's not terribly rattly like most beat to death gt80's. The gas tank is clean inside. The forks are pitted and could probably use resealing (no oil coming out, but we've barely ridden it). We've both ridden it about 10 minutes each...it works great! If I really try, I can get the clutch to slip in high gear (I'm 165lbs...can you blame it?). WE REALLY LOVE THIS BIKE! I'm sure that we'll regret selling it, but like I tell my son "you can't keep them all". I try to remind him that money doesn't grow on trees, and we have to fund our racing habits somehow.
