For sale is my 1981 Yamaha that got allowed me to learn how to ride motorcycles. It sits next to my 2009 Triumph Bonneville T100 in the garage of our St. Louis Victorian townhouse, after a thorough once over by the mechanics at Flying Tiger in Maplewood, Mo. Flying Tiger made it all nice and pretty, replacing gaskets, filters, fluids and such, as well as rebuilding the engine cylinders that had caused it to run a bit sluggish. After a good chunk-of-change it is all fixed up and ready to ride. To the best of my knowledge, the bike is all original. I was the third owner. The first owner put most of the miles on it, and the second owner and I used it to learn how to ride. We had a great time on it! But as you can tell, we barely put any mileage on it at all. It is a 33-year old bike with under 8,000 miles, the was born and raised in and around Denver, Colorado, riding through the notches in the Front Range. It moved to St. Louis with me in 2011, and has been cared for and ridden around the block to "keep the fluids moving". However, I primarily drive or ride my Triumph. All the maintenance items on the bike have been updated, replaced, re-lubricated, etc. etc. The battery is brand new, having been installed in February 2014. The bike's flashers, horn, and lights all work. And its electric ignition starts right up with an open choke. The side mirrors are not on the bike at present, but I have them in my garage and would obviously include them. They appear to be in great shape—I preferred to ride without them. The photos of the bike are from last summer, but the motorcycle is cosmetically unchanged and only has a handful more miles than in the photo. It has been garaged its entire life, including now. In fact, I included some photos from Colorado and one of my Triumph(!). If you want to see a video of the bike, visit this URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dptipYcaTZw This is a classic bike, in great shape. AS I said, everything is original (except for maintenance items, of course). Like anything 30+ years it has a nick here and a nick there (i.e., fuel tank/pipes), but other than that is immaculate and pristine for its age. It just needs to go to somebody who can ride it and care for it without it getting jealous of, say, a T100. I am attaching a youtube link for a video of it running. I must ask the buyer to pay a $500 paypal deposit at the time of purchase via BIN or MAO, with the balance from a cashiers bank check upon pickup. I prefer local pickup, but will work with a shipper of course. Title is CLEAN. It sits next to me as I type this and the new buyer would own this bike free and clear, I guarantee (no lien holders). Happy bidding. I hope you enjoy this bike. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dptipYcaTZw
