2005 Yamaha R6 Raven Edition - 12,8xx miles. I purchased the bike from a private seller in April 2010, the bike had approximately 6,500 miles at that time. The man I bought it from said he was the original owner, but I never attempted to confirm that. I purchased the bike with the intent of using it to commute back & forth to work, and it has not disappointed! I regularly see 46mpg with this bike! Mechanically, the bike is completely sound & without issue. I've always kept up with routine maintenance, and this bike runs just like a Yamaha should! The rear brake pads are showing some wear, but they're not quite ready to be replaced yet. The bike came with some minor damage consistent with a low speed slide on its right side fairing when I purchased it (please see pictures, I've taken two that clearly show this damage). I never replaced the fairing simply because I didn't buy the bike to show off, I bought it to ride. I do have a new fairing that will go with the bike when sold; it is painted flat black & just needs to be shot with gloss black in the correct places & decals added. The bike is completely stock except for a K&N air filter that I added shortly after I purchased the bike, and the GYTR carbon fiber slip-on which was on the bike when I bought it. I replaced both tires on in October '13; they have approximately 1,300 miles on them. I've kept it in a garage since I bought it. I'm selling because I recently took a new job that requires me to carry tools back & forth to work every day, & I just can't carry everything I need on this bike. I have a Scorpion EXO-1100 Street Demon helmet (size L) I purchased in July 2013 that will transfer with the bike if you're interested. I'll do everything I can to assist with the shipping process, but the buyer is ultimately responsible for all shipping arrangements. I will accept a personal check to pay for this bike, however, it will clear my bank BEFORE the bike will be released to the shipper. Certified/cashiers check or Paypal is encouraged!! We started out to give the 2005 R6 more horsepower and a new fork, and wound up engineering a nearly new motorcycle. Staying out front in the Supersport wars takes power: New camshafts Bigger throttle bodies Improved fuel injection Revised intake funnels ... and more, result in a smoother, fatter powerband with three more horsepower at 13,000 rpm. To channel that power, a new, fully-adjustable inverted fork with 41mm tubes was added for the most precise handling possible. It was too good a place to resist mounting powerful new 310mm front disc brakes, radial calipers and a radial master cylinder to even further exploit the R6?s amazing front-end feel. The added rigidity of the new fork led to a redesign of the main frame to accommodate new rear suspension linkage. Selling my 05 r1, this is a raven edition.. mint condition. Never been dropped or wheeled. New Michelin Pilot tires. The bike runs like new it has around 10,000 miles on it. I modified the stock exhaust and It sounds just like after market one. The helmet is not included.
