With the addition of this machine, the Star line offers the most diverse line of custom V-twins on the planet. The Raider S achieves fuel economy up to an estimated 42 mpg** with a fuel tank that holds 4.1 gallons of gas. Features & Benefits Engine 113-cubic-inch (1854cc) air-cooled, pushrod 48-degree V-twin pumps out max torque at just 2500 rpm and max power at 4500 rpm for powerful, relaxed cruising. Four pushrod-activated valves and two spark plugs per cylinder provide optimum combustion efficiency along with classically beautiful engine architecture. Plated cylinders and forged pistons cooled by oil jets provide outstanding reliability and long life. Twin counterbalancers keep things smooth but rumbly. 9.48:1 compression ratio and aggressive cam timing increase power output across the board. Computer-controlled, twin-bore, fuel injection monitors multiple engine parameters to calculate perfect mixture under all conditions; wide-angle 12-hole fuel injectors provide excellent atomization. A 3.5-liter airbox is hidden in the area behind the fuel tank for great performance and a custom, airy look. Two-into-one-into-two exhaust with Exhaust Ultimate Power valve (EXUP) inside boosts torque in the 2500-3500 rpm range. Special custom-machining of the cooling fin edges gives a jewel-like appearance to the engine as light hits it from different angles. Chassis/Suspension New design all-aluminum cast frame is light, rigid and tuned for light, athletic handling. A light, Controlled-Fill, aluminum swingarm casting complements the bike s lithe style. Low, sculpted seat holds the rider in place, and pullback bars reach back to enforce a casual, urban cruising style. A 6-degree yoke angle the first ever on a street-legal Star Motorcycle makes it possible to achieve that custom look as well as natural handling and straight-line cruisability: 34-degree rake plus 6 degrees yoke angle gives total rake of 40 degrees and 102mm of trail, while bringing the fork closer to the steering axis. Custom 5-spoke wheels carry a 120/70-21-inch bias tire up front, and a wide, 210/40-18 radial out back the tallest and widest ever on a Star. 46mm fork tubes serve up an excellent ride and a sweet appearance through 5.1 inches of wheel travel. Previous buyer changed his mind. My loss your gain...listed now with a fixed price. Make me an offer. Just picked up a newer bike and would like to see this one go to a good home. Starts every time, drives and run great. Tires are in good shape. I was using this bike for some in town driving but more for longer trips and have not had any issues with it. Only a couple things to point out. The cruise currently does not function, but I believe it is the front brake lever switch as the brake light does not come on using the front brake only. It does with the rear, so the front switch is the issue. Might just be the plunger is stuck. The rear bags do not match. The left is original, but a previous owner had someone back into them, and rather than getting it fixed correctly just took the insurance money and picked up another back that was "close". Does not cause any issues just does not match. Radio and air suspension work fine. Will need front brake pads soon and an oil change. Let me know if you have any questions. Being sold AS IS.

Very good bike for cruising long distance. Paint finish is pretty good for a 1983. It has been well maintined. new rear tire, very good front tire, excellent brakes, excellent electrical, will pass a safety with flying colors. The bike is loaded with every option it could have and lots of extra chrome. Selling due to little time to ride any more due to back injury and would like to trade for a smaller street bike between 250 and 650. If you really want a nice XVZ and want to have a less common colour, then this one is for you. Chances are you will see 50 burgundy bikes before you see any gold ones. 1200CC engine is in great shape and meticulously kept that way. Lots of chrome, lots of extras, Seat is like new, has the radio am/fm cassette option and I even have a spare one to throw in. Air ride works, lots of lighting. Lots of chrome. Registered to me. 1198cc V-4 VENTURE 90hp Yamaha's entry into the full-dress luxury touring market was the first motorcycle to be conceived from the beginning for the touring crowd. Rather than just adding a fairing to an existing machine, Yamaha engineers designed a total package. They succeeded very well. The Venture was extremely smooth and quiet, and was very comfortable. Yamaha claimed the seat was orthopedically designed for maximum comfort.
