We have owned this motorcycle since 2006. This fantastic Classic Motorcycle has over 30 colors in the tank. New saddle bags, highway bars and new starter and solenoid. Have tail lights which need reattached. Small dent on right side of tank by Yamaha logo but no damage to paint. Though still working the bike needs a new starter button. This is a very unique motorcycle as it was made in Canada. Speedometer shows Kilometers above MPH. This is a very powerful and very nice riding motorcycle for people of smaller stature. Would not recommend this bike for larger individuals.

Cycle World Magazine rated the shaft-driven 97/98 Virago 1100 as one of the best bets in the used cruiser market. Yamaha offered the first shaft-driven cruiser with the Virago. It had a long run and they worked out all the bugs. For sale is a 1997 Yahama Virago XV 1100 Special with Clean / Clear Title and 37,941 miles, which will continue to rise somewhat. This bike is in very good condition. The Metallic Red / Pearl White tank and fenders are in good shape and the chrome shines up well. It has new tires installed about 1500 miles ago. Based on the Cycle World recommendation I bought this bike in May / 2013. Since then I've put over 7,000 miles on it, and done a lot of maintenance / repairs. The bike has Corbin Pipes and a Stage 1 Jet Kit. The jetting has been further customized with the aid of a Colortune spark plug and vacuum gauge. Here's a list of all of the recent improvements: New Mustang Seat ($450+ Value) New Battery / Tires / Plugs Carbs Cleaned / New Jetting / Carbs Synched New Air Filter / New Oil Filters (Three Changes) New Intake Manifolds / Valve Adjustment Progressive Rear Shocks New Side Cover Gaskets / No Oil Leaking Wrenching on the bike has been almost as much fun as riding it. The bike starts right up and the choke is seldom required. There are no flat spots during acceleration. It shifts smoothly through every gear. It's got great low end power and can easily support most two-up riders. Yamaha is known for its reliability and this bike should offer many more years of solid serviceability. Many of the mechanical issues that are required of an older bike have been addressed and it did pass a Maryland Inspection last year. It is being sold because I bought a larger sport touring bike which better suits my taller frame. Features to appreciate about the bike's original design are the dual front disc brakes, tachometer, self-cancelling turn signal switch, center stand, handlebar lock, helmet lock, sissy bar, battery tender, and the extra chrome touches. The saddle bags are very convenient for quick trips to the grocery store or to pack for longer trips. Tail Bright tape was also added on the back of the bike in three different places for added safety. It's black during the day then shines bright at night when headlights hit it. If you are worried about this bike being too big it weighs 536 pounds, which compares favorably to most 750 to 800cc bikes of this era. It handles very well in turns with its low center of gravity and tracks even better with the new tires. Pound for pound the extra horses make this model a great value. If you plan to do any two-up riding this bike should do much better than its smaller cc'd cousins. The only thing wrong with it is a minor right side fork seal leak, which may or may not need to be fixed for an inspection in your state. Two new fork seals are included in the sale. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required within 24 hours of the sale with the remaining balance due within 72 hours. All payments are to be made through Paypal. Shipping is the responsibility of the purchaser. For a negotiated fee the seller can consider trucking arrangements within a few hour radius of Washington, DC. Thanks for your interest.

2017 Ducati Monster 821 Red, $500 Fully Refundable deposit! Order your today for early delivery! 2017 Ducati Monster 821 Red Essentially Monster 112 HP Testastretta 11° engine, razor sharp handling, state of the art safety equipment,Riding Modes and unmistakable Ducati sound. Sport performance, Italian design and unique personality: Monster 821, essentially Monster. Concept Forms and functionalities. The performance and fluidity of the new Testastretta 11°, the versatility of the three Riding Modes, the comfort of the adjustable seat and the passenger handles make the Monster 821 the ideal bike for every occasion. With Monster, the design is unmistakably that of an icon. The fun has no limits. Design It takes just a glance to see all of the elements that contribute to creating the legendary Monster: the muscular, sporty line, the rounded front headlight flanked by the forks, the high number plate, the compact yet imposing metal fuel tank. The unmistakable "minimalist" design that gives you the impression of being in front of an engine, a frame, a tank, a seat, and nothing more. Despite its larger size, which offers unprecedented performance and versatility, the Monster's proportions immediately reveal the heart of a sports bike. The mass is visually concentrated at the front and the engine area looks compact, even with the new water cooling system, into which the radiator and the water supply pipes have been cleverly incorporated. The engine is combined with an impressive side-mounted staggered exhaust system that leaves no room for doubt about the bike's performance. The new Monster 821 clearly spells sophistication, modernity and substance thanks to its avant-garde technology and top-quality materials. Ducati's traditional trellis frame has evolved, using a typical sports bike solution, in which the engine is the supporting element. The imposing metal tank in pure "Monster style" helps to define a superior class of bike. Testastretta 11° The Monster 821 is powered by the Testastretta 11° 821 cc engine, with air injection system. A secondary air system similar to the one used on the 1199 Panigale has been introduced in order to optimise operation and reduce combustion cycle variability, without affecting emissions. A controlled flow of clean air is injected into the exhaust pipe, enabling total oxidation of the hot exhaust gases, efficiently cutting hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide levels. The Testastretta 11° engine fitted to the Monster 821 is an exclusive feature of these bikes and its structure has been engineered to be an integral element of the frame. In addition, the air filter and exhaust system have been designed to provide improved torque at low-medium engine speeds. The Testastretta 11° 821 cc engine generates power equal to 82.4 kW (112CV) @ 9,250 rpm and 89.4 Nm (9.1kgm) of torque at 7,750 rpm

It started at racetracks far from Suzuki's Hamamatsu, Japan headquarters. A group of dedicated Suzuki engineers on an overseas fact-finding mission wandered through paddocks and spectator parking lots, looking at motorcycles and watching races. The racers at these events didn't have factory contracts, and were not paid to race. They came because they loved the competition, the sport, and they rode motorcycles they bought themselves. The race classes were defined by engine size, rider skill level and allowable modifications. The grids for 1,000 cc machines were packed with GSX-R1000s. The grids for 750 cc machines featured row after row of GSX-R750s. But the 600 cc grids were no longer completely filled with GSX-R600s. After years of trying, the middleweight competition had finally caught up, again. The engineers worked stopwatches, talked to riders and mechanics, filled notebooks with observations and comments. They compared what they had seen at these regional races to what was happening in the World Superbike and AMA and other national Superbike series, and with the results from endurance series in Europe and the U.S. By the time they returned to Japan, the engineers had a clear plan: Take everything Suzuki has learned from building and racing the dominating GSX-R1000 and use it to again leapfrog the would-be 600 cc competition. Apply the cutting-edge technology inherent in Genuine Suzuki Engineering, and build a new middleweight machine that defines the concept, The Top Performer. In other words, produce a racer replica that delivers "the outstanding power-to-weight ratio, powerband and throttle response". A sportbike that also establishes the 600 cc state-of-the-art in terms of throttle response, suspension performance, braking power. A motorcycle with the type of overall handling that inspires rider confidence and leads to quicker lap times. A machine infused with lessons from the racetrack. Build the 2007 Suzuki GSX-R600. And Own The Racetrack. Again.
