What you have here is a 1982 Yamaha Maxim 1100 the bike does run there are parts that will need to be replaced I do have brand new pod filters I did install brand new carburetor boots I did a fresh oil change after I just replace the oil pan gasket I do have a few other gaskets that you go along with it. Also I used to ride the bike to and from work until I had a carburetor problem which then I had to replace the float needles even though I did write it the bike I think does have a bent shift Fork very slightly it does not allow first gear to contact fully but you can still start in first and then jump to second I do have a full transmission replacement for it that I never got around to installing. I will say that the petcocks you have a small leak they do have brand new gaskets I think these screws might need to just be tightened I really haven't messed with it. I do have the title and it is clean I also do have a seat for it which is dirty but in mint condition no cracks no tears also I do have the front headlight if you have any questions feel free to let me know I did just replace most the fuel lines along with the gaskets. The bike will also come with a new complete front brake system along with brand new tire and forks . I am open to trades preferably pickups or older car that at least has a title and not a rolling shell

I bought these after a couple years of searching but I have no time and I am not allowed to drive anymore so the whole thing is moot. The bike has a broken gauge and a missing headlight and bezel. Battery was newish but is completely doorknob dead now. Other than that it is complete. The tires are almost perfect in new condition. It ran when I bought it but I never actually rode it myself. It went into storage as I was not ready to do anything with it at the time. This bike comes with another complete 82 maxim that may run but missing Carburetors. I planned on using it for a parts bike though it really should be put on the road as it is very complete and not thrashed. The 82 Maxim 1100 was my favorite bike ever. I have had over 30 bikes in my day and I have just always loved this bike. That is why I searched for it to make as new but alas life deems it not so. This bike is comfortable and has a ton of power. I have done 140 on one years ago and have also rode it to Oregon and back and didn't ever get a hard butt. Not easy to find anymore so only buy it if you love it. I hate to see someone buy them and hack them up. ANyone is welcome to come out and check them out as thoroughly as they like. I have titles for both bikes. The runner is out of reg by a year. The parts bike is out but I don't know how much. I will edit when I get the info.

1982 Yamaha Maxim 1100 for sale. I purchased it on consignment in 2011 out of Interlakes Sportcenter in Madison SD with 24,000 miles. Interlakes had fixed the front calipers and put in brakes, cleaned the carbs, and installed a battery.Later that spring, It had a few leaks around the engine. I took it to Great Escape Yamaha in Pierre, SD for the leaks and checked over. They at that time went over the bike well, packed the front & rear wheel and fork brgs, replaced the rear brake pads, fixed all the leaks, set valve clearance to spec- only replaced one shim and synced the carbs. at 27000 in 2012, the clutch discs and springs were replaced. Tires repalced in spring of 2013 and still in good condition. 2014 replaced the AC generator with used, replaced the throttle cable, choke cable, and clutch cable. July 2014 the Intake tubes were cracking, so replaced them and installed the Dynojet 4101 Stage 3 kit. I have ordered a new battery for it and there will be no issues with this bike. It has been well maintained. It does not use oil to speak of. I run the NGK BPR8EIX plugs and mix the YAMAHALUBE 10-40 with Castrol 20-50 motorcycle oil. It runs and handles very well. Accessories. Two soft saddle bags, crash bars & Footpegs, Windsheild, SHARK 1000 watt 4 channell marine stereo with remote. power outlet. for charging and tricle charger outlet plug in. The egnine and transmission have not have not been opened up. There doesn't appear to be any damage to the body or frame what I can tell from driving it 9K miles. Everything works on this bike. It starts and runs great. Has a ton of low and mid range power with the Dynojet kit installed and 4 pod air filters. It shifts and stays in all the gears good. I have driven it all over western SD this summer. It has not ever quit on my on the road. It has new cables and is a great cruiser. I purchased another cruiser and that is the only reason it is being sold. Clear Title, buyer picks up the bike where it is stored in a garage all the time. Great buy and great shape for a 32 year old cruiser.
