I am selling this 1981 Yamaha XS650 custom bobber. It starts easy with either the turn key ignition or by kick. The "ground pounder" exhaust has 4" baffles in each pipe which gives it a nice, loud rumble. The engine has a little over 18000 original miles and runs strong. I replaced the timing guide that is always worn out on these old bikes and all of the necessary gaskets/seals.It's a fun, reliable bike that gets lots of attention and compliments. This motorcycle is a 1974 xs 650. It is a good running motorcycle and ready to ride for the summer. It has new tires and breaks. The motor is stock with mikuni round slide carbs. Points and plugs are new with freshly cleaned carbs this season. The battery is brand new. No turn signals, just running and break lights. There is a crack in the rear fender and a couple rub marks where the chain rubbed. The motorcycle has a bad starter, but the kick start works great every time. This motorcycle is a ton of fun! Here is a 1983 Yamaha xs650 street tracker I just finished. The bike started out with less than 5000 miles and has just over a 100 on build. The bike has new silver and black base clear paint(beautiful!!!!) on tank and rear fender. Bike runs perfectly. Currently is kick only but have switch if new owner wants to hook up electric start. I made the side plates or number plates out of steel and mounted a kill switch on left side plate. The bike uses original key and switch which is tucked under air filters. The bike starts easy and on the first kick. It has a lot of power and shifts smooth. Idles perfectly with zero smoke. Is a blast to ride. Also, the speedo was calibrated when built to original miles which reads under 5000. I literally bought this bike on impulse two days ago. The previous owner paid to have all work done and then decided to buy a Sporty. I have had several of these and if doesn`t sell will tear down and build to show in the winter. Bike was done RIGHT. Hard tailed and stretched neck for better rake and riding(also doesn`t look so squatty like most). All the hard work has been done and just needs the timing set. Has tons of compression and fires up on starting fluid. Will probably run and ride as it sets but my leg cannot kick it due to injury. This is a 1979 Yamaha xs 650 Special with plans of building a Chopper or Cafe Racer out of it, but I realized I just got too many irons in the fire already. I bought it off of a guy I have purchoused several bikes from in the past, he purchoused it out of an estate. The bike is pretty complete except for missing throttle cables, and plastic tube grip slips on which you can see in pics. He had it running in the spring , but needs a battery now motor kicks over with good compressionno signs of ever being laid down or in an accident, one dent in top of tank looks like something fell on it, a small one on side, seat has been taped and a one side cover missing badge, In the 70s Yamaha designed this motor compete with british bikes like Triumph and BSA with style size and apperience making it a 650 twin with and exhaust angled outward but with the dependability of a Yamaha. This bike left as it would make a great rider, 60s 70s style chopper Bobber, or Cafe Racer.  As I said bike came out of an estate so there is no title the bike is sold with notorized bill of sale wich is all needed in many states for a bike of this age, or can be used to obtain a title. $550 or reasonable offer open to trades for other bikes firearms etc..Thank YouTom Weatherby330-553-1946

You are bidding on a Yamaha XS 650 motorcycle. This is one of the most unique, and aggressively-styled custom XS650's around. It was featured in Renegade Magazine #15. This is a major head-turner, and it seems everyone is curious about it! It sounds incredible too! The frame was stretched, sculpted, and hardtailed. The fork is from an '07 GSXR 750 sportbike. Harley Davidson ltd ed. gold 100th anniversary rims. Custom 3D clip on bars allow you to adjust for many riding postures. The most striking features are two custom gas tanks, with a CNC'd mount. This thing looks like a nitro rocket bike! The center "tank" is actually hollow and houses the electrical. An adjustable mountain bike shock is fitted under the seat to accomodate various weights and provides a much more comfy ride. The original 1978 donor bike had about 18,000 miles on it. A picture of the donor bike before transformation is included for your reference. The build was done by a professional, and the workmanship is impeccable. The custom metalwork is simply perfect, and totally unique. This monster took a year to complete. The original VIN is on the neck tube and I have the title in hand. Also included are the seat shock's pump, an original copy of Renegade Magazine #15 featuring the bike, the key, custom kickstand, some spare parts, and the title.
