FULLY DRESSED BAGGER FROM THE FACTORY THE SILVERADO IS YAMAHA'S TOP OF THE LINE CRUISER IN 2000 , STANDARD ROAD STAR WAS $10600.00 THIS SILVERADO MODEL WAS $12100.00 - - - ALL ORIGINAL, FACTORY ACCESSORIES - - - INCLUDES FULL WINDSHIELD FOR RIDER PROTECTION SOLID MOUNT LEATHER BAGS TO CARRY PERSONALS LEATHER , STUDDED SEAT FOR LONG DISTANCE COMFORT DRIVER FLOORBOARDS ALLOWS VARIED FOOT POSITIONING PASSENGER BACKREST PROVIDES SAFETY AND COMFORT The Yamaha XV1600A is a cruiser-style motorcycle. It is also called the Yamaha Road Star or in Europe the Yamaha Wild Star. It has been produced from 1999 through current model Year 2012. The 1999-2003 models were the same 1602 cc naturally aspirated engines. And in 2004 they changed the displacement to 1,670 cc. With a few design changes in 2004, including new tubeless aluminum wheels, a skinnier drive belt and different engine casing color. The Road Star also has a sleeker, sportier brother called the Yamaha Road Star Warrior that had a fuel-injected 1,700 cc engine and had an all-aluminum chassis. The Road Star remained unchanged until 2008 when electronic fuel injection was introduced to the bike. There were certain variations to the Road Star considering different trim and equipment packages. The Road Star was available with a Silverdo trim package which included studded saddle bags, a back rest, studded driver and passenger seats, and a cruiser-style windscreen. ONLY A PAINT SCUFF ON RIGHT EDGE OF FRONT FENDER ENGINE , CLUTCH AND TRANSMISSION WORK PERFECTLY .ENGINE QUIET , NO NOISES BATTERY IS NEW CARBURATION IS RESPONSIVE IN ALL RPM RANGES RUNS GREAT WITH CHOKE OFF SO PILOT AND OTHER JETS ARE CLEAN REAR TIRE NEAR NEW . FRONT IS FAIR SEAT- ORIGINAL WITH STUDS - VERY NICE , PLUSH FOAM AND COVER THIS IS A NICE , ORIGINAL PAINT , STOCK AND UNMOLESTED MACHINE . LOW MAINTENANCE BELT DRIVE !!!! NO ENGINE OIL LEAKS . . ALL FLUID LEVELS WERE FULL ALSO SPENDING A FEW HOURS TO POLISH AND FULLY DETAIL THE COSMETICS THIS WILL HAVE IT STANDING TALL THE CLOSE UP PHOTOS AND ABILITY TO ZOOM IN WILL ALLOW YOU TO SEE THE DAMAGE VERY WELL . THE REASON THAT INSURANCE COMPANY DID NOT REPAIR THE DAMAGE WAS PROBABLY BECAUSE SOME OF THE PARTS THAT HAD EVEN A HAIRLINE SCRATCH WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY . UPON WRITING THE ESTIMATE , THERE COULD HAVE BEEN A SCRATCH ON THE FRAME WHICH WOULD HAVE MADE THE COST TO REPAIR MORE THAN THE BOOK VALUE IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ,I CAN LOOK AT BIKE AND VERBALLY DESCRIBE IT WHILE YOU LOOK AT PHOTOS .I HAVE NOT PRICED ANY PARTS , THAT WILL BE UP TO POTENTIAL BUYER . PLEASE DO NOT ASK MANY PARTS AVAILABLE USED HERE ON E BAY - GAS TANK FOR INSTANCE HAS SUCH MINIMAL DAMAGE OR HAVE FRONT FENDER TOUCHED UP . SOME BUYER WILL CHANGE IT , BUILDING POSSIBLY A SLICK BOBBER OR FULL ON CUSTOM ! OTHERS MAY ENJOY AS IS AS COSMETICS ARE NOT THAT IMPORTANT TO MANY - AS YOU CAN SEE, BIKE IS VERY PRESENTABLE AS IS . OR RETURN IT TO ITS STOCK ,ORIGINAL CONDITION NOTE THE LAST 4 PHOTOS ARE EXAMPLES OF THIS BIKE COULD BE IF MODIFIED !!!! DAMAGE TO THE BIKE IS FULLY VISIBLE DRIVER FLOORBOARD HAS A BOLT ON BRACKET THAT BOLTS TO THE FRAME .IT HAS A PIVOT PIN SO THE FLOORBOARD CAN PIVOT UPWARD.THE BRACKET NEEDS A LITTLE WELD TOUCH UP TO SECURE THE AFT MOUNT FOR THE PIVOT PIN . OR THERE ARE USED BRACKETS ON E BAYTHROTTLE CABLES OPERATE BUT ARE KINKED AND NEED REPLACED AS THEY ARE AN IMPORTANT SAFETY ITEM I PERSONALLY HAVE ENJOYED AND RIDDEN THIS BIKE NUMEROUS TIMES.I PURCHASED IT FROM THE INSURANCE COMPANY , DETAILED IT , PERFORMED THE MECHANICAL CHECK , INSPECTED IT , WROTE THIS DESCRIPTION AND TOOK THE PHOTOGRAPHS .THIS IS A NICE BIKE - RUNS AND RIDES VERY WELL IN MY OPINION EXPLAINATION OF THE " REBUILT " TITLE THAT IT WILL HAVE . AS WITH MOST STATES , YOU TAKE THE BIKE TO DMV INSPECTION STATION FOR A LIGHTING VERIFICATION [ AFTER THE FRONT RIGHT SIGNAL , FRONT BRAKE LEVER OR MASTER CYLINDER AND RIGHT MIRROR [ INCLUDED ] ARE INSTALLED ] THEN YOUR DMV WILL GIVE YOU A NEW TITLE IN YOUR NAME . RETAIN SOME PHOTOS WHEN YOU RECEIVE BIKE AND YOU CAN DOCUMENT ITS LIGHT DAMAGE FOR LATER DATE OR IF YOU RESELL IT . IT IS NOW STREET LEGAL AND WILL STATE "REBUILT " IN THE COMMENT SECTIONI BELIEVE THAT EVERY STATE REMOVES THE SALVAGE FROM THE TITLE EXCEPT CALIFORNIA. IT IS A SALVAGE TITLE CURRENTLY BUT WILL NOT BE NOR WILL IT SAY SALVAGE ONCE YOU HAVE INSPECTION PERFORMED .
