Please read the entire description and don't buy unless you actually have the money and can show up at the meeting location described below.I have a 2003 Yamaha R6 for sale. It had engine work done by a guy who used to be the mechanic for team Yamaha in Japan. He had an engine shop in Longwood a few years back but I have forgotten his name and since lost track of the paperwork showing the engine rebuild so I do not have proof of the engine work. I bought the bike used and I took it apart to have the frame checked and the engine rebuilt. The title is salvage but I think I had to do that just to avoid paying the yearly registration fee and since the bike was for track duty only. If you are going to use it on the street, use the VIN and check first to make sure you can get it licensed for the street. I do not have street fairings/body kit for the bike - it was used for track duty only. I can say that it pulls harder than stock and keeps pulling to the top end where the stock engine peters out - about 12,000 rpm. I broke the engine in gradually over a full track day after the rebuild and planned to use the bike for track days but I never got back to the track and I don't see myself getting back there any time soon. Once a month I run the engine in gear and put the battery on the tender for a couple of days. Comes with: 1. Spare fuel tank with pump. Tank is in mint condition, with key but I am not sure if the fuel pump works. 2. Spare wind breaker. 3. Sharkskinz fiberglass body kit. I do not have the street fairings. 4. Spare front rim. 5. A spare rear shock assembly (stock type) 6. A set of old racing tires if you want them. I have two Michelin Rear tires and one front - these are separate from the racing tires already on the bike. 7. I wired a small camera and microphone into the bike with the connections going to the rear subframe where a small camcorder would record video. The camera and microphone stay with the bike, you can remove it, but I am not sure that they work since I have not done anything with the bike in years other than running the engine about once a month. Problems: 1. The right side cover (covers the ignition and fuel wires) is missing and the tabs holding the threads that the cover would screw into are broken off. So you probably could not attach a new cover even if you had one. 2. The TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) is going off so you would likely need a new one. 3. The charging regulator is bad and you would definitely need a new one. If you need to hear the bike and all that first then I am in Orlando and I would meet you in front of the local police station for the viewing/inspection. Pay in the form of a wire transfer to my bank afterwards or cash deposit at my bank on the day of the sale. In the case of a wire transfer, the transfer has to clear before I release the bike - and it takes a few days even for a wire transfer to clear. Sorry, no checks, money orders, etc. More pics available upon request.
