The YZ250FX shares the YZ250F and WR250F engine, frame and suspension but is designed as a cross country racer and does not come with lights, speedo, bashplate or a radiator fan – and so is 4kg lighter than new 2015 WR250F. The new YZ250FX engine is based closely on the winning fuel-injected YZ250F design, and features a rearward-inclined cylinder and reverse cylinder head. With its airbox situated in front of the rider and the fuel tank located at the centre of the bike, this unique configuration contributes towards the bike's mass centralisation, which plays a pivotal role in achieving the light and agile handling for which the 2014 YZ250F is renowned. In terms of overall engine specification, the YZ250FX retains the same bore x stroke, compression ratio, cam profile, forged aluminium piston and carburised crankshaft as the YZ250F, combined with a dedicated YZ250FX ECU, gives the YZ250FX a high level of winning performance. The 4-titanium-valve cylinder head is matched to a fuel injection system that provides superb power feeling across the rpm range. The adjustable fuel injection system uses a 44mm throttle body fed by a high pressure battery-less electric pump to ensure optimum fuel atomization and air/fuel calibration for a wide range of riding conditions. The YZ450F instantly adapts to changing air/fuel mixtures depending on altitude and temperature, for an engine that delivers no matter what conditions. Industry-leading suspension with refinements to internal and external components and settings result in superior handling. Stiffer fork springs, new valving and a new fork outer tube improve performance in the mid-to-end stroke and aid fork bottoming resistance. Quick-release quarter-turn Dzus® air box fasteners for tool-less access to the air filter. New Dunlop® MX52 tires offer excellent traction front and rear, especially on hard surfaces. The high-performance ECU provides great bottom end torque plus delivers a strong feeling of power from 3rd gear up while the gear ratios lengthen the powerband and heighten the feeling of power in 2nd and 3rd gear. The exhaust pipe has an innovative layout, circling the cylinder, giving the exhaust pipe proper length for an excellent exhaust-pulse effect. At the same time, the exhaust pipe has three different diameters throughout the exhaust tract, bringing out excellent power characteristics. This layout allows the silencer to be behind the side panel closer to the middle of the bike which centralizes the mass for superior handling. The aluminum muffler is positioned closer to the machine s center of gravity as it is almost completely hidden by the side number plate. The layout allows a shorter, lighter sub frame and also contributes to mass centralization for lightweight handling feel. The large diameter 22mm front axle and top triple clamp provide rigidity for unmatched handling and front end feel. The handlebar mounts are rubber mounted to improve comfort and reduce handlebar vibration.

I have a really nice 2005 yamaha YZ250F. I bought this from another owner over a year ago from a guy that barely used it. I used it sparingly. Unfortunately I can't ride it in my neighborhood so I am selling to buy an enduro.Everything that comes with the bike is laid out to see. Extra front and rear fenders, front and rear side skirts, the original muffler and connector pipe, extra tire tubes, and a smaller sprocket for better speed.I have maintained the bike carefully and changed the oil every three hours or so of use. The rear tire was new when I bought it and the front tire has about 5 hours of use. As you can see the bike is very clean and has been kept so. I do not have a title for the bike. No trades, please!
