1983 HONDA VF 750F InterceptorA Great Barn Find! Found at an estate in San Francisco, in original condition, All Stock with only 3,500 miles. The Bike was set aside and covered and all fluids drained since 1987. No rust, paint and plastic like new. This is the bike that you could take to a show and people would not believe it has not been restored. It even has the original black pipes. Has the Blue California plate. The tires are new, Bridgestone, the same that came with the bike and new stainless steel brake lines. If you are going to ride this beautiful bike you wouldn’t want 30 year old brake lines. Also all the fluids have been changed, brake 5dot, oil and filter mobile 1. Everything is in working order and ready to ride. I have the California title and the bike is licensed to 2015. I bought this bike from the original owner. There are no title issues with the bike! Will work with buyers shipping company. The Honda Interceptor VF 750F was named "Cycle World" magazine's motorcycle of the year when it was first introduced in 1983. The Interceptor featured the first liquid-cooled engine of any sportbike and produced 86 horsepower to easily outrun the competition. Honda's innovative design led to them winning eight of 14 American Motorcycle Association (AMA) Superbike national competitions with the racing version of the Interceptor during the 1983 season. •It has a transistorized ignition system with an electronic starter and a chain-driven, 5-speed manual transmission. The Interceptor features a three-way adjustable, rebound damping, Showa suspension with 38 millimeter forks in the front and a single, four-way adjustable, rebound damping, Showa air-spring shock in the back. Engine Specs•The 1983 Honda VF 750 Interceptor featured the first commercially available, liquid-cooled engine. The 90 degree, V-4 cylinder engine has dual-overhead cams (DOHC) and four valves per cylinder. The engine has a displacement of 748 cc and 10.5:1 compression ratio. The bore and stroke measures 70 by 48.6 millimeters and the Interceptor features 4 by 30 millimeter Keihin carbs in the induction system. The engine produces 86 horsepower at 1,000 rpm and 46.3 foot-pounds of torque at 7,500 rpm. The 1983 Honda Interceptor has a max speed of 138 miles per hour and completes the quarter mile in around 11.9 seconds.
