Simple and classically shaped, that attractive tank, equipped with a factory dash, breaks perfectly in to an NOS buddy seat that's propped on NOS buddy springs. CHASSIS By the late '40s Harley had successfully recovered from the Great Depression and kick started civilian production on the coat tails of World War II. That stiff suspension is great at ensuring the rider gets an authentic feel for the road. There's an NOS Harley electrical system that works well with an NOS Harley accessory carb choke. And everything rolls on NOS Harley rims, which twist NOS Beck tires around NOS hubs and NOS cadmium spokes. DRIVETRAIN After almost two decades of manufacture, Harley had tweaked their flathead engines into well-tuned running gear. That said; 1948 would be the last year of the Big Twin UL, as it and the brand's wildly popular 'Knucklehead' were replaced by an upgraded V-Twin that would eventually earn the nickname 'Panhead'. That means this bike's original, 74 cubic inch flathead was an interesting rarity even in its heyday. Naturally, that VIN-matched powerplant is outfitted with an array of NOS components, including aluminum motor heads and old school primary covers. Electricity still takes the shape of a 6-volt system, which is augmented with a vintage-look gel cell battery. And behind that zero-mile motor, a correct Harley 4-speed processes commands from an NOS Beck gearshift knob. I love my new (used) car!I recently purchased a new 2014 Mustang GT premium. i knew going in the basic kind of car i wanted. they didn't have what i wanted at the dealership so they searched all nearby dealers and couldn't find what i was looking. we ended up placing a custom order threw ford to get the exact car i wanted. he quoted me a price, after incentives including taxes, and all applicable fees. i took my vehicle specs and the price he gave me and contacted local dealers to see if they could beat Laurel Fords offer, and they either offered a higher amount or didn't answer back at all. it was the best deal within 75 miles of where i lived. i decided to place the order threw Laurel Ford and it took about 9 weeks to get built and delivered. they kept me updated on my vehicle status with weekly emails. they did not pressure me into buying any additional upgrades or packages. when i the vehicle finally came i was relieved to find it was exactly what i wanted but also the price i paid was the exact price he quoted me 9 weeks prior. they are very transparent with their offers, so if they say this is what you will pay, you can expect to pay that and not a penny more. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable of the car and helped me get acquainted with all its gadgets. i also want to mention i traded in my old car towards this purchase. they gave me the highest amount Kelly Blue book said my car was worth. it was overall a pleasant experience. i will buy from them for life and recommend them to anyone interested in a new car.Though Im not the smartest when it comes to keeping vehicles (have owned a new one every two years) I do have a lot of experience with the car buying process and buying from Laurel Toyota was the smoothest and best yet. I found the truck advertised on several online car/truck sites. After determining that the vehicle was close to what I was looking for I started a dialog with Scott Long. I feel that when dealerships are selling their vehicles online to a broad audience and the buyer isn't able to personally inspect the vehicle during the typical purchasing process, the seller agent, Scott in this case, has to go out of his way to provide information, data and pictures to support the vehicle that they are representing. Bringing his philosophy of "perfection is possible" to life, Matt Hotch's namesake firm completely assembled this Softail from the ground up. Once that assembly was complete, the bike's traditionally sculpted sheetmetal was, along with its hand-fitted frame, bathed in a striking and sophisticated layer of Burgundy two-stage. And the end result is a first-rate freedom machine, finished by Tom Prewitt of West Cost Choppers and Monster Garage fame, that's characterized by unbeatable curb appeal! Chock full of carefully spec'd components that promote higher levels of performance, and significantly increase that all-important 'WOW' factor, this gnarly two-wheeler is the product of an $80K, best of everything mindset. At the front of the bike, a Perse telescopic fork hangs a chrome, dual-mode headlight and long, tire-hugger fender above a polished Performance Machine wheel and 120/70 Metzeler tire. At the side of that wheel, a polished brake system utilizes custom stainless lines to squeeze a dual-piston Performance Machine caliper around a giant, drilled rotor.
