Titled, running 1937 Knucklehead Mongrel.Matching cases, what looks to be OEM cylinders, and heads.I see no repairs to either the engine/motor cases or transmission case.I also do not see any repairs to the frame or missing tabs. Left side loop # YE-762E, Right loop # YE-761E, brake stay look like the end cap has been welded on,All lights work, [hight low beam] horn does not work [but present], brake light works,Linkert M-5. manifold # [I think] 35-305, AC looks to be newer, has cleaning tag,Nice BECK 6volt coil, cloth wiring, 32E generator,Case # 37-2315 both sides, review pictures carefully,Couple busted horizontal fins rear left side cylinder, all vertical fins appear to be present,Wide brace fender straps I have been informed, 3 piece fenders with chain cut sleve present, I see CP Bolts scatted about,16" rear wheel,Indiviual gas petcocks with hard lines,Both spirals function smoothly, choke works good with no sloopy action,The headlalamp is obviously a early period repop, glass lens on the taillamp [was told is is NOS?],The left teardrop emblem is lose, but looks like mounting bracket has been glued on, I was told these are 1937 gas tanks, that the emblems/trim where glued on, Shifting pattern on the gate from the front "1,N, 2,3,4",I am no expert, I have stated to the best of my ability and experience what I have observed, it appears that the frame is a later year , along with the springer. Here's a knucklehead mongrel, that runs, and all there, yes she is not near correct, but once again, "I emphasize", I am no expert,Colorado Titled that was notarized over to the man I bought it from.I hope I have affored enough salient points that are observable to the Bi-focaled eye.Any questions you can call me at 6198882091, please cognizant of Pacific Time when calling.I have a video of it running I hope it attaches.

Basics....It is a correct 1937 frame, although frames in 37 had no serial numbers. It's a three finger rake. Nothing has been cut from the frame. All the original tabs are there, including the ones for side car mounts. The engine has maybe a thousand miles on it since it was built by Paul Friebus (American Cycle Fabrication). Holder of Bonneville Land Speed record with a 1937 flathead at 180 mph. Here's a link http://www.americancyclefab.com/ Cost of the engine/trans rebuild alone, was over $6,000. This bike will run 75 mph all day, which is pretty outstanding for a bike that couldn't go over 50 mph when it was new from the factory. Most of the bike is correct original, but I have made a few changes that are to my taste. Like, the tombstone tail light is not correct. 1937 had a bullet tail light. The footboards are 40's half moons. 1937 had long rectangular boards. These are just my preferences in style. The bike has Coker tires on the 18 inch stainless rims and spokes. The electrics have been upgraded from 6 volt to 12 volt, with a Cycle Electronics generator that has the built in solid state regulator (no more shorted points or batteries puking acid). The Linkert carb is from Paul's race bike and is nickel plated. I do have the original forward engine guard, which I do not care for. I've owned this bike since 2002 and have been through every piece of it. It's all done, unless you want to change the appearance to your own taste. If I did not have the issues with my back, I would ride it coast to coast without giving it a second thought. If you have any specific questions about the bike, let me know. Everything that was ever done to this bike was done with no cost spared. I still don't want to sell it, but I can't ride it anymore, and it would be a disgrace to let it sit in a garage until I'm gone. Ride it to the show, just remember, you'll need to tie the trophy down on the luggage rack. email me at [email removed]

Up for sale is a serious 1937 UL flathead chopper. 1937 was the very first year of the big twin flathead. Owned for the last 44 years by the same family in Key West. I completely rebuilt the linkert carb and refurbished the distributor and she fired right up. The rebuilt 1937 engine has about 13,000 miles on her with plenty to go, strong motor. Engine has Perfect vin boss that matches the clean and clear title in my name. The frame is an original harley davidson wishbone molded back in the day. The front fork is an original adjustable rake wide glide fork that has been chromed and rebuilt with a 21" mini drum wheel that rolls great. I replaced the clutch. Super nice paint job for its age there are minor imperfections but overall great. Not too often you will get a chance to own a running riding 1937 first year harley, it will only go up in value. check the video below to watch her fire right up. Clean and clear numbers matching title. Please if you have questions don't wait until after you've won the auction to ask. Call or text me my phone number is (239) 961-0732 my name's Bryan. Thanks and safe riding.

Harley Davidson implemented their iconic 45 design in 1929. Initially it was nicknamed the “3-cylinder” because of how the generator stuck up. It was also during this time period that 45 CI (750cc) engines became the standard displacement for racing side-valve engines in American Motorcycle Association sanctioned events. The first 45 series were known as the DL from 1929-31. In 1932, the RL series was introduced. These were both total-loss oiling systems. In 1937, the W series was launched with the added benefit of a recirculating oil system. Harley-Davidson had begun releasing “hotter” versions during this time period, such as the WLDR and the later WR, which was a purpose-built race bike. These engines were also used in 3-wheelers and were designated with the letter G. Harley-Davidson kicked production of the 45 into high gear for the wartime effort. Military bikes were given the designation WLA, with the A designating its purpose in the Army. There was also a batch that was made to a slightly different specification for the Canadian Army. These were given the designation WLC. Because of the war effort, there were abundant supplies of spares manufactured, and caches of parts are still being discovered today. After World War II, Harley-Davidson continued production of the W series into 1952, when it first released the K series. The K’s were designed to compete with the onslaught of British bikes being imported into the U.S. They were now outfitted with a hand clutch and foot shift. This bike appears largely original, with all cycle parts appearing to be original, including its original paint. Ordered with the 18-inch chrome-wheel package, this bike also features one of the more unusual accessories in the Brush Cycle accessory seat for a child (or date) mounted on the front. With only 5,000 miles put on this motorcycle since new by its one owner, this particular unit is one of the most original and documented WLs on the planet, and will be sold with its original purchase papers, dealer invoice and option fees, an offer that’s hard to refuse.
