Up for auction is a Vintage 1971 Yamaha DT1 250 cc Two Stroke Dirt Bike Enduro. The person I bought this from completely disassembled it and cleaned everything. Then went through it mechanically. He also painted many of the parts black (looks great and is done right but is not 100 % professional show quality). I ran a drove the bike very little and it ran great and shifted trough the gears fine and then stored it over the winter. I couldn't get it running this spring though. It backfires and sputters (a simple carb clean, fresh battery, new spark plug and fresh fuel did not do the trick). It comes with a free and clear title in my name. Up for auction today is a 1971 Yamaha JT1-L Mini Enduro with lights. The color is Desert Orange and it features the painted forks. Fires right up, runs great and cycles through all speeds smoothly. The frame and engine have matching serial numbers. Tank was removed and cleaned. Fresh spark plug and gas. The tip of the brake clutch lever has broken off. The fenders show signs of wear with dings in the paint but no dents. The oil tank has a dent in the side and the gas tank has some dings in the paint and 2 very small dents as can be seen in the photos. The seat is in fantastic condition, no rips or tears, and features matching red glitter vinyl. The forks and rims are straight. The tires hold air but are weather checked. The tail light lights up but the headlight may need a bulb. The chrome ring around the headlight has a dent. This bike has not been restored but is a great candidate. The parts and cables appear to be original, however, the seat may have been redone. I do not have the title but can provide you with a bill of sale. Up for sale is a nice original 1971 Yamaha ct1 175 single 2 stroke endure with a little over 6,000 miles and there is no title, bill of sale only. Bike has been sitting for a few years and does not run and will need a couple things to get going again, includes a carb cleaning and a new throttle cable as the one on the bike has snapped. it has great compression and good spark, shouldn't need much to get running, gas tank is almost perfectly clean inside. there is one shallow dent in the left side of gas tank near emblem that can be seen from the side, i think it can be worked back out if one knows how, and the plastic emblems are in great shape, no cracks!, Overall bike is in great shape and is almost rust free, great paint with just a couple nicks or paint chips here and there, but shines great and chrome as well is in nice shape, with a little polishing will really look good. It's all there hard to find turn signals and rack original condition missing right side tank badge. One little cut on top of seat. I gave it a real quick clean up.shifts good. Starts 1st kick usually with strong compression. Nice tank inside also with no dents couple scuffs on gold. Perfect size for anyone to ride. Nice vintage bike that pretty collectable. This is not restored just nice original condition.

Gas tank, Gas cap, Oil tank, Headlight mounts and headlight bucket. The gas tank has several shelf rash/scratches from being store for many years w/o the box. It may have been a dealer take off as it has one tiny dent as shown in photos. Here is a list of NOS parts installed: Foot pegs, Shift and kick start rubber, Handle switch #2, New Yamaha black cables, Black cable bands, Front brake light switch, Brake shoes, Levers, LH & RH grips, Speedometer and Tachometer, Ignition switch, Buddy pegs,1st over piston & rings, Crank shaft assembly, Bearings, Gaskets, Points, Condenser, Carb kit. Kinda you average barn find bike that I just got running with new points, condenser, carb cleaning, and new rubber boot to air box. It runs good and shifts good, clutch is a bit hard but I kinda expect that from a bike that's been sitting for 15years. I took cover to inspect clutch and every seemed good. Little seepage now from that cover. Wheels and tires are pretty good no rust and good rubber. Dent in rear fender 2 little dings in tank, seat is pretty nice for original. Runs out pretty darn strong lots of power yet. Will need further restoration like fork seals and rubbers. light switch cleaned and relubed. At least a good once over before putting on the road. Tank is nice inside will probably need petcock seal. Needs foam for air filter has cage. Etc Etc. SOLD AS RUNNING PROJECT WITH NO TITLE Nice overall restorable classic early edition which makes it rare.

1972 Yamaha JT2 Mini Enduro. This bike was originally purchased in Georgia on December 24, 1971 as a Christmas gift. I have the original Georgia title. Pretty rare to have a Title for one of these little bikes. You can see from the pictures a complete restoration was done on the bike. Many hours and dollars went into the restorations of this bike. The end result is one very nice little Yamaha. You will be hard pressed to find another one in this condition. The bike will definitely bring back childhood memories!
