GS1100E, Performance King of 1980, even faster than a Honda CBX.  Except for a performance exhaust header and a brand new premium reproduction seat cover from the well known seat manufacturer Sargents, this bike seems to be a stock GS1100E.  GS1100’s was the best you could buy in 1980.  They were known to be very fast, smooth, and comfortable to ride long distances. The gas tank is excellent, its stock paint is unfaded, and it has no deep scratches or dents.  Pin striping is very good everywhere. The fenders are straight and unbent, handlebars straight.  Headlight, tail light, turn signals and brake lights all work. All wiring appears to be stock. It has the nicks and scratches on the underframe that you would expect for a motorcycle in a northern climate. The speedo,  tachometer, warning lights and fuel gauge work, as well as its illumination, see the pictures.    Its throttle, clutch action and gear shifting works as they should.  It had a new Yuasa high performance battery last fall.  The battery is also pre-wired for a quick connect for a battery tender. Attached are videos of me starting and riding it last fall.  It runs strong.  It was too fast for me to really take it out and open it up fully, but you can hear it running strong.  I have had it running this spring. What does it need? The bike is 27 years old and if you want it for a daily rider, you should put some work into it. Tires have decent tread and hold air well, but I wouldn’t take a long trip on them. A performance bike like this should have new tires. The front fender being plastic has some alligatoring and loss of paint as shown in the pictures. Both front and rear brakes work and bring it to a stop smoothly, but the lines should probably be bled out and fluid replaced. I have two videos for you to see, one in April last year, a second one in September. You will note that in the second video it is running much smoother, as I put a new K&N Filter on it. It has a performance exhaust which could break your eardrums if you aren’t careful. However I do have an Original GS1100E exhaust system that I bought on Ebay for $300 that will go with the sale.

Here is a vey nice example of a unrestored original daily rider, I have enjoyed riding this motorcycle almost on a daily basis and it performs excellent with the TSCC 1100cc engine that is a RARE find in a "L" model machine was only made two years, there are plenty of "E" models out there as they sold a ton of those. I had resurrected this one 3 yrs ago with many new and NOS parts it has a NOS tank and side covers( in the 750 red color for you Suzuki experts but this is an 1100 as per vin code, I have not found the emblems yet for the sidecovers) anyway it got new tires, a complete DYNA ignition system coils and module, plus 7mm wires and caps. Recently got a new 530 chain and sprocket conversion just 200 miles ago or so. The speedometer has been replaced at 12k with a new one that I found that reads 120 mph better than the 85mph the stock one was limited to, so now you know when your well over 100mph. So total mileage is closer to 20k. It has a Lockhart oil cooler, and a 3 year old Vance & Hines header that allows the use of the center stand and easy oil changes (wow was that hard to find new) It has a new seat cover over very good foam base. I have rode & maintained well the last 3 years and am sure to leave out things I have bought for it. This is my all time favorite old bike to ride as it has great horsepower and torque with really good triple disc stopping power. I moved to Florida 2 years ago so this bike has not spent it's whole life here by any means, and it has been always garaged as well. And of course all lighting, horn, handlebar switches, locks and equipment work as they should. I would keep garaged (free as long as bike is paid for in full) for you if you would want to fly down for Daytona Biketoberfest in October and ride it home Paypal deposits are non-refundable on vehicles these ads are costly so please DO NOT hit the Buy It Now unless you are prepared to PAY FOR IT NOW! Please call 417-545-1564 EST Daytime only please for any questions.(yes it is a Midwest phone number, it was a Midwest bike too) I will assist your shipper that YOU have arranged, I will NOT make shipping arrangements you are responsible for the costs of shipping.

If you had the resources to rebuild a classic, limited production Superbike and fit it with every upgrade available back in the era when this bike ruled the streets, this is what you would have. NOTE: This is a 1980 Wes Cooley Replica. It was produced for only the years 1979 and 1980 with production numbers estimated to be in the 750 range for 1980. The factory rear-set foot controls fitted only to the 1980 version makes this a one-of-a-kind frame as all of the other GS1000 standard chain drive bikes had the same frame. The 1980 version cannot be "faked" because of its unique frame, unlike the '79 version that used an ordinary frame. This bike was a frame-up rebuild which included the following: ENGINE:- New Valve Job - Freshly honed cylinders with brand new OEM Suzuki rings- Valves adjusted- New Mobil One synthetic oil and Fram oil filter- New NGK spark plugs PERFORMANCE EXTRAS:- Dyna Tech electronic ignition- Dyna 3 Ohm (green) coils- Taylor ignition wires (brand new)- Yoshimura Replica stainless steel exhaust (cost $750 shipped here on eBay)- Aftermarket wire wheels with stainless spokes - wider than stock- Aftermarket Rear sets. Especially rare as these only fit this one exact year/model bike- Braided stainless brake lines with clear covering (that won't scratch paint)- Adjustable Clutch Lever and dogleg front brake lever BODY - Repainted and a beautiful match to the factory paint- Fairing and gauges are perfect with no repairs or signs of ever being damaged- Original Mirrors CHASSIS:- Painted frame- Rebuilt calipers- GS1100 aluminum swingarm - polished sides (not a fantastic job on this)- New Metzlers at both ends- New fork seals and fluid- New Works Performance shocks DETAILING includes:- Polished fork legs, axles, axle spacers, etc.- Powder-coated engine covers (except clutch cover) and misc brackets, etc.- Painted brake rotors UPGRADES are available:- RS36 Mikuni Flatslide Smoothbore Carbs - Ask- Calfab swingarms in several lengths - Ask I will answer all questions in 24 hours or less, but please ask important stuff before the auction ends. Will make bike available for pickup most anytime. Also note this bike is being advertised elsewhere and the listing may be canceled before the auction ends.

1980 Suzuki GS 1100E with approx 34k miles. In excellent running condition. This is a beautiful example one of Suzuki's first Superbikes. It was noted as the fastest Production Motorcycle in 1980, boasting over 100 hp and a 0-60 time of about 4.4 seconds and a mid 11 second 1/4 mile bone stock! With that said, this was the perfect platform for this retro rocket. I have always loved these Suzuki's, and I especially like the desirable chain drive E model for this project. Originally the bike came with a large square headlight, big square gauge cluster, a V shaped vetter fairing and a 2 foot long bench seat (See before Photos in last 2 pics!) Its been restyled to a solo setup and lost about 40lbs at the same time! This bike gets allot of looks and keeps up with just about any modern machine out there with its 1100cc inline oil cooled 16 valve powerplant! Its tuned right and runs absolutley perfect! It also maintaines its stock reliability and smooth sound with the stock air box and stock exhaust system. Not much more needed with these but if you have a need for speed or more sound there are many options available for this bike. The pipes are in really good shape with a few nicks but still shiney! It has a few very minor cosmetics signs of wear but otherwise its in almost perfect shape. Although several design features have been restyled it maintains its retro vibe with alot of stock parts, the original black paint and two tone pinstripes. A very stylish makover in my opinion. Here are some of the recent changes: New headlight bucket New machined aluminum headlight mounting brackets Updated superbike bars New bar-end mirrors New grips New rear shocks New K&N filter Updated to round Suzuki early model gauges w\140 MPH speedometer... New clutch cable. Brake fluids changed Fork Oil changed. Went with 10w for softer ride. These are air assist forks, so you can always fine tune a firmer ride. Engine Oil Changed with 4 stroke 10w40 Suzuki motorcycle oil. Chain cleaned, lubricated and adjusted Carbs cleaned and tuned Rear end shortened 9" Frame plugged and welded properly. All electrical soldered and shrink tubing used. Factory quality. Seat pan reshaped welded, foam sculpted to new custom form, and new skin applied. - Solid! Tires have plenty of meat on them. Battery maintained on charger. Starts and idles perfect! Runs strong with no issues! Clean Title in my name in my hand. I am willing to assist with delivery if needed as well. $2900 or best offer. Thanks for your interest!

Up for sale is a super nice GS1100E in maroon. The GS1100E is Suzuki's punched out liter bike using the first generation of the GSX engines that led to the GSXR racers that literally cleaned up on the race track. The GS1100E was the first large production liter plus bike designed with 16 valve cylinder heads and Suzuki's patented Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber (TSCC). First introduced as the 1980 GSX1000S Katana styled by Hans Muth, the GS1100E enjoyed more subdued styling and was the "Motorcycle of the Year' from 1981 through 1983, faster and more comfortable than everything else on the road. The GS1100E was the first modern out of the crate production Superbike! Then and now, THIS is the bike to have for a daily driver or a weekend warrior. Vance and Hines four into one exhaust, OEM air box with a K&N air filter, good tires and a clear Texas title. Although this baby is 32 year old, she's a thouroughbred racehorse. This sweetheart shows a little evidence of life, but she's still a looker and knows how to dance! Sounds great and drives like a new bike. The photos with trophys are from an art and antique auto show a week or two ago and she won top prize in her class! (we couldn't resist including the photos) Good luck and Happy Bidding!

It's a pleasure to present this stunning '82 1100 GZ prepared for you by Akron Suzuki Works. For our clients and followers, you know what we do--we make GS' feel young again (and maybe you too)!. I believe we are the only shop in the world with as tight a focus on Suzuki GS bikes, especially the 1100/1150 models from 1980-1985. Yes, its a time warp and of course it's a 'niche'--if we did Harleys or Kawasaki's we'd have, you know, competition. Akron Suzuki Works Level-One 1. It has documented miles and ownership history 2. Every mechanical and electrical function works at least as well as when new--but better is acceptable (improvements discussed below) 3. The original appearance has been retained as much as practical 4. Suzuki factory service bulletins issued over the years have been incorporated 5. Deviations from the OE configuration for the year/make/model are noted 6. Original parts which have been replaced or upgraded for performance or safety reasons will be included with the machine if available. Many of our bikes go to clients who have requested specific models. One I've been trying to fill for a while is for "a perfect (client's description) black/grey GS1100GZ". This auction bike would have done it for the client--except the color scheme was wrong and we hate to refinish salvageable OE paint. We do have some current, recent and upcoming listings including a GS1150, an '83 GS1100E, and an '82 GS550 Katana. The Katana will be a Level-One bike but the others won't make the cut and will be priced accordingly. The auction bike is priced at $8500. If you don't think any '82 G could possibly be worth $8500, please stop reading and don't bother sending me that email telling me about the 'same bike your buddy got off Craigslist for $500'. Show your buddy our Level-One list here, though, just to make sure they really are the same. If you're still reading have a look at our Level-One shop prep check list:FORKS, BARS. I WILL BE HAPPY TO KEEP THE BIKE STORED FOR YOU FOR UP TO 60 DAYS IF NEED BE. On May-17-14 at 12:03:02 PDT, seller added the following information: I am updating the listing with important info. This bike has engine number GT380-108577 This was the very first engine serial number in 1977!! That's right, the first one. And the frame is number GT380-95088 and they began with GT380-95063 so this frame is the 25th one made in 1977. I encourage you to bid accordingly as I may decide to keep the bike due to its rarity if bidding stays so low and no one cares about VIN numbers. Thanks. Original scanner unknown. Transcribed from scans of three pages; the scans are found in various places on the internet. Atop the third scanned page numbered "4" is "SERVICE PUBLICATIONS #3 - REVISED 3/25/94." Table cell entries are presumed to be the initial frame and engine numbers for the model year for each model. Some issues with this table: Each model in the original has the date code appended, e. g., RL250L for the 1974 "L" model year, except: FA50 for 1971 has no R suffix. JR50C is listed in 1978 and 1979 (years C and N) with the same serial ranges. RM125M for 1975 (year M) is listed in 1976 (year A) with a different frame serial range than RM125A. TS250J is listed twice in 1972 (year J) with two sets of originating frame and engine numbers. RM250C2 for 1978 (year C) is listed with a a different serial range than RM250C. GS425M for 1975 (year M) is listed in 1979 (year N). Some numerals (particularly 5, 6, and 8) are difficult to decipher from the scans.[edit] Proofreading methodology
